  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the policy and programs of the Seoul50Plus Foundation and to propose policies and programs to promote active aging of middle-aged and elderly people. A single case study was utilized as a research method. The analysis framework of case was approached with four frameworks: the context of policy and program, ideology-goal analysis of policy and program, supplier and customer analysis of policy and program, and process and domain analysis of policy and program. The analysis data included the homepage content of the Seoul50Plus Foundation, related 50+ policy and program data, active aging research papers at home and abroad, and presentation and meeting materials. The results of the research showed that the policy and program background and environment were essential elements for responding to environmental changes in the aging society. In terms of the philosophy-goal, job creation, social participation, and approach to life design were systematically carried out for the ideology of 'creating a new life vision' and promoting active aging. In terms of subject-target, the subject of policy implementation is systematically composed of three stages: 50+ foundation, 50+ campus, and 50+ center. The target was limited to 50+ generations(age 50~64) and had a problem that is limited to applicants. In the process-area analysis, programs such as educational support, work and entrepreneurship support, counseling information, and new-age cultural creation activities were designed to increase added value according to the characteristics of the middle-aged people. In conclusion, the future Seoul50Plus Foundation's policy and lifelong learning programs need to be systematically promoted through cooperation with businesses and universities, expanding the target audience, matching the characteristics of the middle-aged and elderly, and linkage among programs.

  • With the development of network technology, the application area has also been diversified, and protocols for various purposes have been developed and the amount of traffic has exploded. Therefore, it is difficult for the network administrator to meet the stability and security standards of the network with the existing traditional switching and routing methods. Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a new networking paradigm proposed to solve this problem. SDN enables efficient network management by programming network operations. This has the advantage that network administrators can flexibly respond to various types of attacks. In this paper, we design a threat level management module, an attack detection module, a packet statistics module, and a flow rule generator that collects attack information through the controller and switch, which are components of SDN, and detects attacks based on these attributes of SDN. It proposes a method to block denial of service attacks (DoS) of advanced attackers by programming and applying honeypot. In the proposed system, the attack packet can be quickly delivered to the honeypot according to the modifiable flow rule, and the honeypot that received the attack packets analyzed the intelligent attack pattern based on this. According to the analysis results, the attack detection module and the threat level management module are adjusted to respond to intelligent attacks. The performance and feasibility of the proposed system was shown by actually implementing the proposed system, performing intelligent attacks with various attack patterns and attack levels, and checking the attack detection rate compared to the existing system.

  • Creation and administration of green space are emphasized to solve the environmental problem and the management of green space in urban area. Urban area with high development pressure faces green space fragmentation, so the planned approach is needed to improve the continuity of green space. However, the current institutional green axis, used to enhance continuity of urban space is merely an abstract concept under the master plan so that is not a consistent framework for urban green continuity providing no detailed information such as position and path. Therefore, in order to consistently manage green space in continuous point of view, it is insufficient not being connected to each individual green space development projects. This study proposes a method for finding the connection path to enhance urban green space continuity. This proposed method consists of two phases. First phase is finding nodes to connect current green space and second is to calculate the least cost path. We calculate connection cost using NDMI (Normalized Difference Moisture Index), impervious ratio and official land cost, applying to Suwon city and potential greening site that was planned in official master plan. According to the results, we confirm a possibility of finding a cost-effective connection path with detailed spatial information instead of unrealistic abstract concepts and discuss worth applying to a legally plan and policy.

  • This study was deal with blow-out and buoyancy stability evaluation method for slurry shield TBM. When applying a slurry shield TBM for the construction of a shallow tunnel under river or sea, the stability of slurry blow-out and segment lining buoyancy should be evaluated. However, there is a problem in that the currently applied theoretical formula is somewhat complicated, making it inconvenient to calculate in practice. In this study, some simple charts were proposed to easily evaluate the stability of slurry blow-out and segment lining buoyancy. In addition, the buoyancy safety factor of segment lining using the strength reduction method was evaluated and compared with the buoyancy safety factor based on the theoretical formula. The buoyancy safety factor by the theoretical formula was evaluated to be rather small, and it was confirmed that it was on the safe side. The simplified charts for the evaluation of slurry blow-out and buoyancy stability presented in this study are expected to be usefully utilized in the planning and design of undersea tunnels.

  • Gwanghwadang-Wonsam was designated as National Folklore Cultural Heritage No. 52 in 1979, it is in good condition. However, a problem is the attached a phoenix insignia badge that did not exist when it was designated recently. As it became known as the only purple Wonsam artifact with "phoenix insignia", raising the need for its conservation. In this regard, scientific analysis was required to correct misinformation about designated cultural assets and restore the original designated state by analyzing the history of the Gwanghwadang-Wonsam, other relics of the phoenix insignia and its making design patterns. An X-ray fluorescence analysis was used to confirm that the Phoenix insignia's metal threads were titanium-plated silver. Phoenix insignia using titanium-plated gold thread was not identified in Gwanghwadang-Wonsam photographs in 1986, and the TiN-type membrane plating method was used in various industries in the 1990s, which can be estimated to be attached in the early and mid-1990s. Especially, the scientific analysis results from the X-ray fluorescence analysis in this study provide key evidence for conservation processing. This study demonstrates the importance of investigating relics and similar artifacts in the conservation process of inherited relics and as a precedent for restoration that corrects misinformation about designated cultural properties.

  • According to the Facility Management System (FMS) operated by the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety, it is expected that the number of aging facilities that have been in use for more than 30 years will increase rapidly to 13.9% in 2019 and 34.5% in 2929, and end up with a social problem. In addition, with the revision of "Common Application of Seismic Design Criteria" by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security in 2017, it is mandatory to re-evaluate all existing road facilities and if necessary seismic reinforcement should be done to minimize the magnitude of earthquake damage and perform normal road functions. The seismic performance management-decision support technology currently used in seismic performance management practice in Korea only determines the earthquake-resistance reinforcement priority based on the qualitative index value for the seismic performance of individual facilities. However with this practice, normal traffic functions cannot be guaranteed. A new seismic performance management decision support technology that can provide various judgment data required for decision making is needed to overcome these shortcomings and better perform seismic performance management from a road network perspective.

  • As regulations of emissions from ships become more stringent, electric propulsion systems have been increasingly used to solve this problem in vessels ranging from large merchant ships to small and medium-sized ships. Methods for improving the efficiency of the electric propulsion system include the improvement of power sources; the use of a system linked to environmentally friendly power sources, such as batteries, fuel cells, and solar power; and the development of hardware and control methodology for rectifiers, power conversion devices, and propulsion motors. The method using a phase-shifting transformer with diodes has been widely used for rectification. Power semiconductor devices with grid connection to an environmentally friendly power source using DC distribution, a variable speed power source, and the application of small and medium-sized electric propulsion systems have been developed. Accordingly, the demand for active front-end (AFE) rectifiers is increasing. In this study, a method using a neural network rather than a conventional proportional-integral controller was proposed to control the AFE rectifier. Tested controller data were used to design a neural network controller trained through MATLAB/Simulink. The neural network controller was applied to a rectification system designed using PSIM software. The results indicated the effectiveness of improving the waveform and power factor DC output stage according to the load variation. The proposed system can be applied as a rectification system for small and medium-sized environmentally friendly ships.

  • Among imaging and treatment devices for small animals, positron emission tomography(PET) causes a change in spatial resolution within a field of view. This is a phenomenon caused by using a small gantry and a thin and long scintillation pixel, and detectors that measure the interaction depth are being developed and researched to solve this problem. In this study, a detector that measures the interaction depth was designed using several scintillator blocks and light guides with different reflector patterns. The scintillator block composed of 4 × 4 arrays of 3 mm × 3 mm × 5 mm scintillation pixels formed four layers, and a light guide was inserted in each layer to configure the entire detector. In order to check whether the interaction depth was measured, a gamma ray interaction was generated at the center of all scintillation pixels to acquire data and then reconstructed into a flood image. The reflector patterns of the light guides inserted between the layers were all different, so the positions of the scintillation pixels for each layer were formed in different locations. It is considered that even spatial resolution can be achieved over all regions of the field of view if all positions of the scintillation pixels thus formed are separated and used for image reconstruction.

  • In preclinical positron emisson tomography(PET), spatial resolution degradation occurs outside the field of view(FOV). To solve this problem, a depth of interaction(DOI) detector was developed that measures the position where gamma rays and the scintillator interact. There are a method in which a scintillation pixel array is composed of multiple layers, a method in which photosensors are arranged at both ends of a single layer, a method in which a scintillation pixel array is constituted in several layers and a photosensor is arranged in each layer. In this study, a new type of DOI detector was designed by analyzing the characteristics of the previously developed detectors. In the two-layer detector, different sizes of scintillation pixels were used for each layer, and the array size was configured differently. When configured in this form, the positions of the scintillation pixels for each layer are arranged to be shifted from each other, so that they are imaged at different positions in a flood image. DETECT2000 simulation was performed to confirm the possibility of measuring the depth of interaction of the designed detector. A flood image was reconstructed from a light signal acquired by a gamma-ray event generated at the center of each scintillation pixel. As a result, it was confirmed that all scintillation pixels for each layer were separated from the reconstructed flood image and imaged to measure the interaction depth. When this detector is applied to preclinical PET, it is considered that excellent images can be obtained by improving spatial resolution.
