Data were collected by surveying 124 operating room nurses who were working in operating rooms at two advanced general hospitals and five general hospitals in G city in the province of C, and the survey was conducted by questionnaires. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The level of job stress and fatigue were 3.64(0.45), and 3.46(0.60). In case of job stress in operating room nurses, there was statistically meaningful difference according to hospital type, and their fatigue levels showed statistically meaningful difference according to types of hospital, work motivation, and subjective health condition. There was positive correlation(r=0.47, p=<.001) between operating room nurses' job stress and fatigue. Therefore, this study has significance in the respect that it identified the relationship of job stress and fatigue in operating room nurses, and it will be used as the basis to develop job stress intervention program for operating room nurses.

Participants were 196 old adults, 65 and over aged in D metropolitan city. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test, and logistic regression with SPSS 22.0 program. The rate of completion intention toward AD was 58.2% in the participants. There were different age, Living alone, subjective health status, awareness toward AD, and negative attitude toward death by completion intention toward AD. In the regression analysis results, the predictors of completion intention toward AD was awareness toward AD in old adults. The findings of the study reveal that positive awareness toward AD can predict completion of AD of healthy old adults in community.

A convenience sample of 155 elderly women was recruited from two senior welfare centers and three nursing homes in J city. Data were collected from June 15 to July 15, 2010 through interviews using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression using the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. The level of social support and anger was 3.73 and 2.72 out of 5, respectively. Anger was statistically significantly different according to type of residence (B=0.21, t=2.42, ${\rho}$=.017), psychiatric medication (B=0.66, t=4.93, ${\rho}$ <.001), physical medication (B=0.41, t=4.22, ${\rho}$ <.001), and evaluation support (B=-0.15, t=-3.00, ${\rho}$=.004), and these accounted 33.0% of anger. Providing proper information and developing social support program would be useful for managing anger of elderly women.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify levels of fatigue and self-efficacy of clinical practice among nursing students and to examine the relationship of fatigue and self-efficacy. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted with 207 senior nursing students. Self-administered questionnaires were used to collect data during the period from 1st to 30th of June, 2013. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS 18.0 program. At the results, the average levels of fatigue and self-efficacy were 3.52/5($SD={\pm}.52$) and 3.29/5($SD={\pm}.47$) respectively that meant above moderate. Study participants having motive of admission to nursing school voluntarily and having high satisfaction with nursing major were shown higher self-efficacy. There were correlated negatively between fatigue and self-efficacy(r=-.315, p<.001). By the findings of this study, it is necessary to develop a nursing practice education program to reduce the level of fatigue and improve the self efficacy of nursing students.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the mechanical and sensory properties of Teriyaki sauce made with different boiling time(6, 8, 10 and 12 hrs). The results were as follows. As for the mechanical characteristics, moisture contents, L-value, a-value, salinity and pH decreased with increasing boiling time. On the other way, viscosity, b-value and sugar contents of Teriyaki sauce increased with increasing boiling time. From results of quantitative descriptive analysis, offensive flavor was significantly different when examining Teriyaki sauce alone, but there was no difference when the sauce was accompanied with food. The 8 hr-boiling sauce was favored most in chicken with Teriyaki sauce, and 10hr-boiling sauce was favored most in eel.

  • This paper addresses a problem of non-dialog section detection for the DVS authoring, the goal of which is to find meaningful section from the broadcasting audio, where audio description can be inserted. The broadcasting audio involves the presence of various sounds so that it first discriminates between speech and non-speech for each audio frame. Proposed method jointly exploits the inter-channels structure and speech source characteristics of the broadcasting audio whose number of channel is stereo. Also, rule based post-processing is finally applied to detect the non-dialog section whose length is appropriate for audio description. Proposed method provides more accurate detection compared to conventional method. Experimental results on real broadcasting contents show that qualitative superiority of the proposed method.
