The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of the Stress Management Education Program (SMEP) on the nurses stress and stress management ability, and to identify the main factors affecting them. The subjects were 72 nurses who participated in the In-Service education program of the Jin-Ju District, Kyeong-Nam Branch of the Korean Nurses Association during the period from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30, 1985. The book of“The stress management education program”was developed by the investigators. With this book, we executed the 1st education through the lecture & showing an example, After 15 days from the 1st education, we mailed a reminding booklet to the individuals. (2nd education). Then, we mailed a questionnaire on 15th day from the 2nd education. Before and after the SMEP We measured the stress management ability & stress, and identified the affecting factors. Findings of this study are as follows ; 1. The 1st hypothesis that“the SMP will increase the. knowledge about the nurses' stress management”was supported (t= -6.60, p <.001) 2. The 2nd hypothesis that“the SMEP will increase the nurses' practice about the stress management”was rejected. 3. The 3rd hypothesis that“the SEMP will decrease the nurses' stress”was rejected. 4. The 4th hypothesis that“the higher the know-ledge about the stress management, the lower the nurses' stress”was rejected. 5. The 5th hypothesis that“the higher the degree of the practice about the stress management, the lower the nurses' stress”was supported. (r= - .2859, p<.05). 6. There were significant correlations between the knowledge about stress management and age (r= -.3717, p<.01), between the knowledge about stress management and the period of her work. (r= -.2897, p<0.5). There was significant difference in the knowledge about stress management between those who had married and those who had not. (t=2.82, p<.01) 7. There was significant difference in the practice about the stress management between those who had religion and those who had not. (t=2.7, p< .01) 8. There was significant difference in the stress according to the type or work. (t=6. 127, P <.05) There was significant correlation between the stress and supportive system. (r=-.2647, p<.05).
This study identified the knowledge, attitude and degree of prevention behaviors on falls of the elderly and analyzed the relationship among them as well as their effects on fall prevention behaviors. This study was targeted at 167 elderly attending senior welfare centers and data collected by interview was analyzed using SPSS 18.0 program. As a result of correlation analysis, positive relations were identified between knowledge and attitude on falls, as well as attitude and prevention behaviors on falls. This study examines the contrasting effects of an aging workforce on organizational innovation and the moderating role of age diversity. By utilizing a knowledge-based view, this study asserts that an aging workforce can contribute to organizational innovation to some degree due to accumulated firm-specific knowledge and experiences as well as various social networks within and outside the firm. On the contrary, as the portion of an aging workforce increases, the negative effect of the aging workforce on organizational innovation can overwhelm the positive effects because of the limitations of new knowledge creation. In addition, this study explores the effect of age diversity to moderate the relationship between aging workforce and organizational innovation.Empirical findings showed that an aging workforce and organizational innovation had an inverted-U relationship, and age diversity moderated this curvilinear relationship as this study predicted. These theoretical arguments and empirical findings highlight the necessity to explore the complex effects of an aging workforce on organizational innovation as well as additional factors influencing the relationship between aging workforce and firm innovation.

This study is to explore degree of childcare teacher's teacher efficacy and the factors influencing of knowledge related to disease, self-esteem and job stress on teacher efficacy of those surveyed. A descriptive study was conducted with a survey of 257 childcare teacher in G city. The data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and Hierarchial multiple regression using SPSS WIN/21.0 program. The mean score of the was teacher efficacy $78.70{\pm}8.28$. The teacher efficacy was had a positive correlation with self-esteem (r=.493 p<.001) and a negative correlation with job stress(r=-.247, p<.001). But the teacher efficacy was had a not correlation with knowledge related to disease. (r=.046, p=.257) The result of the hierarchial regression indicated that self-esteem, job stress and position explained 30.0% of variance in teacher efficacy. The result suggest that it is necessary to interventional strategies to promote teacher efficacy for childcare teacher in childcare centers to improve teacher efficacy.
This study was conducted to survey the 135 social workers in social welfare facilities in the metropolitan area. This study was conducted to emphasize the enhancement of resource development capacity and organizational effectiveness of social workers. The results of the study are as follows The attitude of resource development competency has a negative effect on job satisfaction, knowledge has a static influence on job satisfaction, and value and technology have no effect on job satisfaction. The value and knowledge of resource development competence have a positive influence on organizational commitment, and attitude and technology have negative influence on organizational commitment. The value of resource development competence did not affect turnover intention and attitude had a negative effect on turnover intention. Technology has a statistically significant effect on turnover intention. Knowledge has a negative effect on turnover intentions. Therefore, if we try to increase the value, attitude, technology, knowledge, which is the resource development capacity of social worker, the degree of intention to go down or leave work is rising, The social welfare organization needs to be supported and endeavored to improve it.
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether elementary school parents' environmental literacy varied according to independent variables, to verify specific variables that affected their environmental literacy, and to analyze the correlation between elementary school students' and their parents' environmental literacy. Twelve elementary schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do were chosen for purposive sampling. 342 questionnaires were used for analysis among the 350 questionnaires collected during the study, and their environmental literacy was measured through 55 questions consisted of 12 items for knowledge category, 22 for attitude category, 5 for behavior category, and 3 for skills category with 16 demographic variables. Statistical analysis was conducted on each of the variables that make up environmental literacy through mean t-test, F-distribution, Scheffe test, and Pearson correlation. The results of this study were as follows. (1) there is the difference according to age and career in parent's actual environmental literacy, but there is no difference in geneder, birthplace, residential type, religion and income. The parents in forties scored significantly higher than parents in thirties in subdomains of environmental skill and environmental interest in environmental literacy. And the parents with bachelor's degree scored significantly higher than parents with at least a high school diploma in subdomains of ecological knowledge, knowledge on environmental problems & issue, environmental skill and environmental behavior. (2) the most influential media on parents' environmental literacy is TV, then newspaper, internet and book follow. (3) the correlation between environmental crisis and environmental interest is the highest, but the mainly negative correlation is analysed between knowledge subdomains and other subdomains. (4) there is the correlation between elementary school students' and their parents' environmental literacy.
Purpose: This study was to develop a smoking prevention educational program and to verify the effects of the program as an intervention to prevent smoking among high school students. Method: This study was designed by using a nonequivalent Quasi-experimental control group pretest-posttest. The instruments used in this study were scale on smoking prevention knowledge and attitude. This study presents a probabilistic knowledge discovery method to interpret heart rate variability (HRV) based on time and frequency domain indexes, extracted using discrete wavelet transform. The knowledge induction algorithm was composed of two phases: rule generation and rule estimation. Firstly, a rule generation converts numerical attributes to intervals using ROC curve analysis and constructs a reduced ruleset by comparing consistency degree between attribute-value pairs with different decision values. Then, we estimated three measures such as rule support, confidence, and coverage to a probabilistic interpretation for each rule. To show the effectiveness of proposed model, we evaluated the statistical discriminant power of five rules (3 for atrial fibrillation, 1 for normal sinus rhythm, and 1 for both atrial fibrillation and normal sinus rhythm) generated using a data (n=58) collected from 1 channel wireless holter electrocardiogram (ECG), i.e., HeartCall$^{(R)}$, U-Heart Inc. The experimental result showed the performance of approximately 0.93 (93%) in terms of accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and AUC measures, respectively.
This study was to identify and clarify the relationship between perceived health, self-esteem, and self-care agencies for promoting self care among Korean adolescents. Method: Data were collected from 817 adolescents in schools located in Seoul, Kyungki-do, and Chuncheon from Sept, 16th to Sept, 28th, 1999, and from Mar 10th to Mar 25th, 2000. The instruments used for this study were the Health Self-Rating Scale, Self-Care Agency Assessment Questionnaire (Denyes, 1981), the Self-Esteem Questionnaire (Rosenberg, 1971). Result: 1) The mean perceived health status among Korean adolescents was 8.75 (SD=1.72) 2) The mean self-esteem was 27.27 (SD=4.64). 3) The mean self-care agency was 99.64 (SD=21.02) and the average self-care agency score was 3.99 (SD=0.84). In the subcategories, the highest degree was feelings towards health (4.15), followed by ego strength (4.06), attending to health (3.87), general health knowledge (3.56), and the lowest degree was specific health knowledge (3.20) 4) There was statistical significant differences between demographic factors and self-care agencies, expecially, gender (t=28.65), grade (F=3.79), pocket money (t=5.72), and height (F=9.82) 5) The statistical relationship between perceived health status, self-esteem, and self-care agencies were found to have a positive correlation. 6) Self-care agencies among adolescents was the highest factor predicting self-esteem (15%). Conclusion: The relationship between perceived health status, self-esteem, and self-care agencies revealed a significant positive correlation among adolescents. Therefore, nursing intervention for adolescents needs to develop self-esteem programs to increase self-care agencies
