  • This study was for reasonable gathering by a fabric and a skirt length. So the purpose of this study was to show the basic data to forecast the gathering effect of gathered skirt which was more aesthetical and suitable for a use in time of making pattern. To find the reasonable gathering amount by a length of gathered skirt and a fabric the methods of this study were divided on three types-five kinds of the gathering amounts three kinds of fabrics and three kinds of skirt ength-so forty five kinds of the samples were made. As the visual evaluation of the gathered skirt were practiced bgy these factors. The following are the results of this research. 1. For this research of fabrics the gathering amounts which were shown visually the most aesthetical silhouette in the same material and skirt length were decided on 1.5 times or 2.0 times. On the other side 0.5 times and 2.5 times of gathering amount were got a low estimation visually 2. Except in case the skirt length was 40cm and gathering amount were 1.0 times and 1.5 times in the same gathering amount and length of skirt it was estimated that wool fabric was most aesthetical silhouette fabric. On the other hand it was got low estimation which the cotton was not good for draping effect because it was got the lowest estimation level in all cases. 3. Considered as a whole in the same gathering amount and fabric the fabric widths for gathering which were shown the most aesthetical silhouette were estimated the length of 60cm in cotton fabric 80cm in polyester fabric and 40cm in wool fabric. Therefore as a fabric was weighty a length of a skirt was shorten so, it was estimated visually more beautiful.

  • To compare data on the speech act of requests from two different methods, a study was conducted in which both native and non-native speakers of English participated as subjects, and data were collected by means of actual e-mail writing and DCT (discourse completion test). The analysis of requests from the two different data-gathering methods showed that despite some similarities, considerable differences existed between e-mail and DCT requests in several important aspects of requests such as amount of talk, directness level, downgraders and supportive moves which play an important role in making a given request sound less imposing and more polite. Also it was shown that requests of non-native speakers differed considerably from requests of native speakers in terms of the four aspects of requests across type of data-gathering methods. Based on the findings, some suggestions were made for both further research and L2 classrooms.

  • This paper presents a neural network model representing complex hydro-thermo-dynamic characteristics of a steam generator in nuclear power plants. The key modeling processes include training data gathering process, analysis of system dynamics and determining of the neural network structure, training process, and the final process for validation of the trained model. In this paper, we suggest a training data gathering method from an unstable steam generator so that the data sufficiently represent the dynamic characteristics of the plant over a wide operating range. In addition, we define the inputs and outputs of neural network model by analyzing the system dimension, relative degree, and inputs/outputs of the plant. Several types of neural networks are applied to the modeling and training process. The trained networks are verified by using a class of test data, and their performances are discussed.

  • The data gathering delay and the network lifetime are important indicators to measure the service quality of wireless sensor and actuator networks (WSANs). This study proposes a dynamically cluster head (CH) selection strategy and automatic scheduling scheme of collectors for prolonging the network lifetime and shorting data gathering delay in WSAN. First the monitoring region is equally divided into several subregions and each subregion dynamically selects a sensor node as CH. These can balance the energy consumption of sensor node thereby prolonging the network lifetime. Then a task allocation method based on genetic algorithm is proposed to uniformly assign tasks to actuators. Finally the trajectory of each actuator is optimized by ant colony optimization algorithm. Simulations are conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method and the results show that the method performs better to extend network lifetime while also reducing data delay.

  • The amount of acoustic data gathered from the acoustic data gathering system is increased dramatically as the acoustic data gathering system become various and highly effective. It is needed to transmit this acoustic data to analysis environment for precise analysis. In this gathering/analysis system, it is also needed the stable transmitting as well as highly perfect security. But the existing system using the conveying method needs a lot of time. In case of using networks, the low speed networking vulnerable in the stable transmitting and the information security is impossible to materialize. In this paper, I would like to propose a transmitting and management system sending a massive gathering acoustic data in the unsecurity and low speed networking environment. The implemented system is to transmit the acoustic data safely in low speed networking environment and secure the acoustic data from various threats.

  • The detailed production traceability information is a fundamental element in successful introduction and revitalization of traceability system. In this paper, we propose a production traceability information gathering system which is based on handwritten data digitalization technology in agro-livestock products. By the proposed system, we can effectively gather the detailed production traceability information with digital pen and the management ledger of paper document type by only writing the ledger. The server of the system generates the same digital image as the ledger and converts the handwritten data into digital text to insert the data into the database. Because the system is superior to data gathering system based on PC, PDA and touch screen in mobility, usability, data input speed, suitability in agro-livestock environment, it is possible to effectively gather traceability information of high quality by users even if they have low information ability and insufficient time to input data. We expect that the handwritten data digitalization technology is used to gather document based information in stage of manufacturing, distribution and marketing. In addition, this technology is applied to implementing advanced traceability system with RFID/USN based systems.

  • The paper is devoted to the detailed description of the distributed system for gathering data from Windows-based workstations and servers. The research presented in the beginning demonstrates that neither a solution for gathering data on attacks against Windows based PCs is available at present nor other security tools and supplementary programs can be combined in order to achieve the required attack data gathering from Windows computers. The design of the newly proposed system named Colander is presented, too. It is based on a client-server architecture while taking much inspiration from previous attempts for designing systems with similar purpose, as well as from IDS systems like Snort. Colander emphasizes its ease of use and minimum demand for system resources. Although the resource usage is usually low, it still requires further optimization, as is noted in the performance testing. Colander's ability to detect threats has been tested by real malware, and it has undergone a pilot field application. Future prospects and development are also proposed.

  • In this paper, we study mobile data collector (MDC) based data-gathering schemes in wireless sensor networks. In Such networks, MDCs are used to collect data from the environment and transfer them to the sink. The majority of existing data-gathering schemes suffer from high data-gathering latency because they use only a single MDC. Although some schemes use multiple MDCs, they focus on maximizing network lifetime rather than minimizing packet delay. In order to address the limitations of existing schemes, this paper focuses on minimizing packet delay for given number of MDCs and minimizing the number of MDCs for a given delay bound of packets. To achieve the minimum packet delay and minimum number of MDCs, two optimization problems are formulated, and traveling distance and traveling time of MDCs are estimated. The interior-point algorithm is used to obtain the optimal solution for each optimization problem. Numerical results and analysis are presented to validate the proposed method.

  • By means of compressive sensing (CS) technique, this paper considers the collection of sensor data with spatiotemporal correlations in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In energy-constrained WSNs, one-dimensional CS methods need a lot of data transmissions since they are less applicable in fully exploiting the spatiotemporal correlations, while the Kronecker CS (KCS) methods suffer performance degradations when the signal dimension increases. In this paper, an appropriate sensing matrix as well as an efficient sensing method is proposed to further reduce the data transmissions without the loss of the recovery performance. Different matrices for the temporal signal of each sensor node are separately designed. The corresponding energy-efficient data gathering method is presented, which only transmitting a subset of sensor readings to recover data of the entire WSN. Theoretical analysis indicates that the sensing structure could have the relatively small mutual coherence according to the selection of matrix. Compared with the existing spatiotemporal CS (CS-ST) method, the simulation results show that the proposed efficient measurement method could reduce data transmissions by about 25% with the similar recovery performance. In addition, compared with the conventional KCS method, for 95% successful recovery, the proposed sensing structure could improve the recovery performance by about 20%.
