Electronic Industries Association has set a standard format called CDIF(CASE Data Interchange Format) for exchanging information between CASE tools from 1991. If data used on a CASE tool is represented in CDIF format, then any other CASE tools can use the data by translating CDlF format into their own format. In order to do so, each CASE vendor must provide a translator program from CDIF to its own data format or from its own data to CDIF format. In this thesis, we have implemented a source code generator for translating CASE data format into CDIF format only if they provide how data is stored. This automatic program generator generates CDIF statements using data format used in CASE tools, meta information about stored data and CDIF meta information. In the thesis, the automatic program generator has been implemented with Java and Oracle DBMS with JOBC interface in Sun O/S environment.

In this paper, we proposed the vehicle data format of digital tachograph to improve the vehicle data format of the MOLIT(Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport). The vehicle data collection and analysis is currently available through digital tachograph mandatory installation for commercial vehicles. And public agency is used the vehicle data format as a transmission format defined by MOLIT's guideline for their vehicle data processing. However, Vehicle data format is different for each manufacturer and MOLIT's vehicle data format is also need to advance. We confirmed the proposed the vehicle data format improved based on the vehicle data format of MOLIT through the system implementation and experiment in this paper.

GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology is a necessary function to support location based on service by using GPS in the mobile environment. These mobile systems have basic functional limitations such as a low rate of processing, limited memory capacity, and small screen size. Because of these limitations, most of the mobile systems require development of a reduced digital map to overcome problems with large-volume spatial data. In this paper, we suggest using the reduced digital map format in order to use location based on service in a PDA environment. The processing of the proposed data format consists of map generation, redefinition of layers, creating polygons, and format conversion. The proposed data format reduces the data size by about 98% comparing with DXF format based on the digital map of Busan.

This paper is related to optimization in the image data format, which can make a great effect in performance of data compression and is based on the wavelet transform and JPEG2000. This paper established a criterion to decide the data format to be used in wavelet transform, which is on the bases of the data errors in frequency transform and quantization. This criterion has been used to extract the optimal data format experimentally. The result were (1, 9) of 10-bit fixed-point format for filter coefficients and (9, 7) of 16-bit fixed-point data format for wavelet coefficients and their optimality was confirmed.

The multimedia community needs an environmental data representation and interchange mechanism which not only satisfies the requirements of today's systems, but can be extended to meet future data sharing needs. This mechanism must allow for the standard representation of, and access to data. The SEDRIS STF(SEDRIS Transmittal Format)provides environment data users and producers with a clearly defined interchange specification. In this paper I develop data converter commercial data(3DS MAX) format to standard interchange format and vice verse without losing semantic of information content using SEDRIS standard interchange format.

Recently financial institutions and large retailers have a large amount of personal information leakage accident occurred one after another, and the damage is a trend of increasing day by day. Regulation such as enforcing the encryption of the personal identification information are strengthened. Efficient technology to encrypt personal information is Format-preserving encryption. Typical encryption expand output data length than input data length and change a format. Format Preserving Encryption is an efficient method to minimize database and application modification, because it makes preserve length and format of input data. In this paper, to encrypt personal information efficiently, we propose newly Format Preserving Encryption using Block cipher mode of operation.

The KORMARC format for authority data defines the ales and conventions (tags, indrators, subfield codes and coded value) that idenbfy the data elements in KORMARC authority records. This document is intended for the use of personel involved in the creation and maintenance of authority records as well as those involved in the deslgn and maintenance of systems for the communication and praxsmg of authority records. The format is developed on the basis of USMARC f o m t for authority data. And for the compatibility, the KORMARC format for bibliographc data is taken into account.

Purpose - In recent years, new retail innovations have emerged in the Japanese eyeglasses industry and grown as a retail format. The purpose of this study is to establish the process model of retail format creation by examining how a retailer creates a retail format and under what kind of environmental conditions. Research design, data, and methodology - This study pointed out the weakness of the concept of the retail format in existing research on the retail format in existing research on the retail format variation theory and suggested the concept of "Formula" to analyze an individual retailer. This study categorized the subjects categorize the subjects of retail format creation into four categories, and analyzed JINS which is the retail format leader in the Japanese eyeglass industry. This study used secondary data because it is valid. Results - This research found "product handling skill," "changes to consumer purchasing patterns," and "competitive interaction" as environmental factors influencing retail format creation. This study highlighted how JINS adapted those environmental factors to create their original formula and suggested the process model of retail format creation through the JINS case study. Conclusions - This study discussed two theoretical implications and three managerial impressions which were derived from the JINS case study. This study also discussed limitations and further research issues.

Bibliographic information-based MARC format is using in 66 countries, and it has been keeping the position of acknowledged information system in many national libraries. But the development of exchange format about integrated database to run integration the factual information and bibliographic information integrative is necessary. Actually factual information and bibliographic information are required frequently in the library. This paper was to extract the element field of factual information that will be expanded at the libraries, and to make the basic data of integrated database-based interactive format through comparative analysis of varied record format to be used around the world.

This describes the standardization plan of data format (track 2) in magnetic stripe card and message format between terminal and host computer. The track 2's data format is composed of PAN and additional data based on ISO 3554. In the present social status of Korea, the VISA B message format is recommended.
