In swash plate type axial piston hydraulic pump and motor, the piston shoe is periodically pressurized with square function shape by supply pressure load as rotation of cylinder barrel. Therefore the recess pressure on bottom part of piston shoe is suddenly increase through orifice in the piston shoe. In this study, we simulated that the frequency response of the recess pressure against with change of supply pressure with analysis tool. Also, we evaluate the dynamic response characteristics of overbalanced hydrostatic bearing with change of the orifice diameter.
The thermal system like a combustion chamber is believed to experience a significant instability problem with vibration in case that the thermal energy or the acoustic energy are transformed into a different form through a relevant path. This study deals with a numerically- predicted, Thermoacoustic instability in a Rijke tube by using a non-linear model for a heat source. The heating part where the energy transformation occurs actively is modeled after simulating two-dimensional cylinder case with constant surface temperature, and a nonlinear model that accounts for the transfer function of magnitude- and phase-characteristics is properly implemented so as to be dependent on the pulsation strength in the tube. The heat source model is observed to result in equivalent Thermoacoustic instabilities in the Rijke tube except low flow-rate cases in which the natural convection is dominant.

In this paper, it is demonstrated that, with the distribution of lowest order concentrated(discrete) singularities of delta function nature, the solution to the linear free surface problem can be obtained with a remarkable degree of accuracy. The linear boundary value problem is formulated subject to boundary conditions for the determination of strengths of singularities; the simple sources above(not on) the free surface and the vortices on the body surface. Three sample calculation were performed` the flow about a submerged vortex of known strength, the flow past a submerged circular cylinder, and the flow around a hydrofoil section. The convergence of the numerical procedure is achieved with a relatively small number of elements. The final results are compared with those of the published works, and are considered very satisfactory.
For the measurement of mass flow rate at a wide range of operation conditions, it is required that the critical nozzle gas different diameters, since the mass flow rate through the critical nozzle depends on the nozzle supply conditions and the nozzle throat diameter. In the present study, both computational and experimental investigations are performed to explore the variable critical nozzle. Computational work using the 2-dimensional, axisymmetric, compressible Navier-Stokes equations are carried out to simulate the gas flow through variable critical nozzle. In experimnet, a cylinder with several different diameters is inserted into the critical nozzle to vary the nozzle throat diameter. Computational results are compared with the experimented ones. The computed results are in close agreement with experiment. It is found that the displacement and momentum thickness of variable critical nozzle are given as a function of Reynolds numbers. The discharge coefficient of the variable critical nozzle is predicted using an empirical equation.
For a single stage two cylinder rotary compressor, an analytical study has been made on the discharge gas pulsation. Discharge system of the twin rotary compressor consists of lower and upper mufflers and connecting passage holes between them, and cavities on both sides of the motor and passages between them. Acoustic modeling for the discharge system by transfer matrix method gives acoustic impedances at discharge valves so that gas pulsation at the valve sections can be obtained from discharge mass velocity. Since the mass velocity and the pressure pulsation at the valves are affected by each other, iteration should be made for convergence. Gas pulsations at other sections can also be calculated by using transfer matrix.
Dental implant is increasingly used to recover the mastication function of tooth. Several types of implant were designed to give an optimal stress distribution in surrounding bony regions. In this study, six types of implant were investigated using finite element method and it was studied i) how the variation of cortical bone thickness affects the stress distribution in surrounding bony regions depending upon implant types, ii) which type gives the best characteristics in the sence of stress distribution and stability. The hybrid-type implant with cylinder and screw gave the optimum properties in view of stability and response to the variation of cortical bone thickness.
In recent, the marine engine of a large size is being realized a lower speed, longer stroke and a small number of cylinders for the energy saving. Consequently the variation of rotational torque became larger than former days because of the longer delay-time in fuel oil injection process and an increased output per cylinder. It was necessary that algorithms have enough robustness to suppress the variation of the delay-time and the parameter perturbation. This paper shows the structure of hybrid F-NFC against the delay-time and the perturbation of engine parameter as modeling uncertainties, and the design of the robust speed controller by hybrid F-NFC for the engine. And, The Parameter values of linear equation are determined by RC-GA for F-NFS. The hybrid F-NFC is combined the F-NFC and PID controller for filling up each.

An accurate adaptive mesh refinement based on the CIP method is proposed and it is applied to solve the two dimensional advection equations. In this method, the level set function is employed to refine and merge the computation cells. To enhance the accuracy of the solution, the spatial discretization is made by the CIP method. The CIP method has many advantages such as the third order accuracy, less diffusivity, and shape conserving. The mathematical formulation and numerical results are also described. To verify the efficiency, accuracy, and capability of the proposed algorithim, two dimensional rotating slotted cylinder and idealized frontogenesis are numerically simulated by the present scheme. As results, it is confirmed that the present method gives an efficient, reasonable solution in the advection equation.
A theoretical analysis was conducted of convective instability driven by buoyancy forces under transient temperature fields in an annular porous medium bounded by coaxial vertical cylinders. Darcy's law and Boussinesq approximation are used to explain the characteristics of fluid motion and linear stability theory is employed to predict the onset of buoyancy-driven motion. The linear stability equations are derived in a global domain, and then cast into in a self-similar domain. Using a spectral expansion method, the stability equations are reformed as a system of ordinary differential equations and solved analytically and numerically. The critical Darcy-Rayleigh number is founded as a function of the radius ratio. Also, the onset time and corresponding wavelength are obtained for the various cases. The critical time becomes smaller with increasing the Darcy-Rayleigh number and follows the asymptotic relation derived in the infinite horizontal porous layer.

The integral equation method to solve the boundary-value problem of a 2-dimensional body oscillating in the presence of a free surface generally breaks down at and near irregular frequencies due to the hypothetical flow inside the body. In this paper singularity distributions were extended to an inner free surface to remove the irregular frequency as Ohmatsu's work in 1978, and the solution for the above problem was found by using stream function. For various bodies including Lewis form cylinders, the hydrodynamic forces were calculated numerically at various wave numbers. From the results we concluded that the irregular frequencies can be removed even for the Lewis form cylinder as Ohmatsu done for circular cylinders, and calculated hydrodynamic forces by the present method are little higher than those of Ohmatsu's when the singularities are put on the inner free surface of the body. We specially point out that the solution for heaving motion converges in an oscillatory manner but not for swaying and rolling motions.
