각종(各種) 금속(金屬) 이온이 대두유(大豆油)및 그 튀김 면(麵)의 산패(酸敗)에 미치는 영향에 대(對)하여 (Effect of Metal Ions on the Oxidation of Soybean Oil and Its Fried Noodle)

  • 본(本) 실험(實驗)은 대두유(大豆油)와 그 튀김면(麵)에, 한국(韓國) 상수도(上水道) 기준(基準) 또는 물리적(物理的)으로 정제(精製)한 지하수(地下水)에 함유가능(含有可能)한양(量)과 동일(同一)한 양(量)의 철(鐵) ion과 동(銅) ion을 각각(各各)에 첨가(添加)하여 그들에 의한 산패촉진정도(酸敗促進程度)를 측정(測定)하고, 아울러 일반적(一般的)으로 널리 쓰이고 있는 유지(油脂)의 황산화제(抗酸化劑)로서 BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole) 또는 citric acid가 이들 금속(金屬)에 의(依)한 산패촉진정도(酸敗促進程度)를 어느 정도 감소(減少)시키는 가를 비교(比較) 검토(檢討)하였다. 본(本) 실험(實驗)의 결과(結果), 대두유(大豆油)와 그 튀김면(麵)의 경우 모두, 철(鐵) ion 또는 동(銅) ion의 첨가(添加)는 이들 ion이 첨가(添加)되지 않은 경우와 비교(比較)할때 뚜렷한 산패촉진효과(酸敗促進?果)를 보였다. 특히, 동(銅) ion이 첨가(添加)된 경우에 있어서는 시간(時間)이 경과(經過)함에 따라 철(鐵)ion이 첨가(添加)된 경우보다 3배(倍) 내지 6배(倍)의 강(强)한 산패촉진효과(酸敗促進?果)를 보였다. 항산화제(抗酸化劑)인 BHA와 citric acid의 이들 금속(金屬)에 의(依)한 산패촉진(酸敗促進)에 대(對)한 저해작용도(沮害作用度)는 citric acid가 첨가(添加)된 경우가 BHA첨가(添加) 경우보다 컸으며, BHA가 첨가(添加)된 경우 그 효과(?果)는 극(極)히 미약(微弱)하였다. 또한 이들 항산화제(抗酸化劑)의 저해작용도(溫害作用度)는 동(銅) ion의 경우보다 철(鐵) ion의 경우에 더 효과적(效果的)인 것으로 보여진다.

  • 중금속을 함유한 13종의 질산염을 명 농도별로 첨가하여 주정효모 Saccharomyces cerevisine의 주정생산과 발효작용에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 1. 일반적으로 중금속을 함유한 질산염은 그 첨가량이 0.0001mo1. 보다 고농도일수록 Saccharo-myces cerevisiae의 발효작용을 점차 억제하였다. 2. Nickel nitrate, chromium nitrate들의 0.0001 moi.의 첨가는 Saccharomyces cerevisiae의 alcohol 발효작용을 약간촉진시켰다. 3. Cadmium nitrate 0.001mo1. 이상, cupric nit-rate, nickel nitrate, cobalt nitrate 0.01mo1. 이상, 그리고 silver nitrate, mercurous nitrate, manganese nitrate, zinc nitrate, lead nitrate, chromiun nitrate, ferric nitrate, bismuth nitrate 0.1mol. 의 농도에서 Saccharomyces cerevisiae 의 발효작용은 완전히 조지되었다.

원자흡광광도법에 의한 리팜피신의 정량에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Determination of Rifampicin by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry)

  • Rifampicin reacts with cupric ion to produce rifampicin-Cu(II) chelate (2:1) at pH 6.5, which can be extracted with methylisobutylketone (MIBK). Therefore, rifampicin can be quantitatively, determined by measuring the quantity of Cu(II) in the organic phase by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Because higher absorbance ratio was obtained in pH 6.0~7.0, buffer solution at pH 6.5 was used in this measurement. Linear relationship was found between absorbance and concentration in the range of 1.0~4.0${\times}10^{-4}M$. This method might be applicable to the determination of rifampicin in the preparations.

  • The effect of gelatine on the electrodeposition of copper in cupric sulfate-sulfuric acid solution was investi-gated using an ac impedance technique. In the presence of gelatine, the charge transfer resistance was in-creased and the electrical double layer capacitance was decreased. A model was suggested to explain the im-pedance spectra and it fitted well the experimental data. Also the uniformity of deposit thickness was in-creased while the grain size was decreased by the addition of gelatine.

  • Vinylation of highly hindered ${\beta}$-acetoxyvinyl mercurials with olefins in acetonitrile at room temperature in the presence of cupric chloride, as a reoxidant for the palladium, and a catalytic amount of $LiPdCl_3$ gave the corresponding conjugated dienes in moderate to good yields. The (E) or (Z) geometry in vinyl mercurials was retained in the vinylated products. The reaction was tolerant of a wide variety of functional groups ($CO_2$R, CN, OR, OAc) on either the vinyl mercurial or olefin compounds.

  • Copper inhibited PSII-mediated O2 evolution (H2OlongrightarrowDCIP, H2OlongrightarrowSiMo) but not PSImediated O2 uptake(DCIP. Asc.longrightarrowMV) in isolated Chinese cabbage chloroplasts. Copper toxicity on PSII-mediated O2 evolution was higher at alkaline condition than at acidic condition and was inhanced by light illumination after copper treatment. The increased toxicity by light illumination was not recovered by subsequent dark treatment. The inhibitory effect of copper on H2OlongrightarrowDCIP reaction was higher than that on H2OlongrightarrowSiMo reaction. This result suggests that there may be another inhibitory site of copper on PSII other than water oxidizing side of PSII.

초등과학에서 미량화학(SSC)을 이용한 황산구리 결정 만들기의 새로운 방법 (New Methods of Producing Copper Sulfate Crystals Using Small-Scale Chemistry(SSC) in Elementary School Science)

  • This study examined how to produce new methods of copper (II) sulfate crystallization by using a small-scale chemistry tool such as small-scale reaction surface and petri dish. The making of copper(II) sulfate is included in the 5th grade elementary science textbooks. Various copper(II) compounds were reacted with a 2 M sulfuric acid solution. The result of this study is as follows: Seven small amounts of copper(II) compounds were reacted with a few drops of 2 M sulfuric acid solution at room temperature to make a copper(II) sulfate crystal of triclinic shape. Using the petri dish method, a copper(II) sulfate crystal could be identified within one hour of reacting copper(II) hydroxide, copper(II) carbonate, copper(II) nitrate, copper(II) perchlorate, cupric(II) formate from a few drops of 2 M sulfuric acid solution at room temperature. When using the lap top method for copper(II) perchlorate, cupric formate, a proper crystal could be identified within one hour as well. SSC methods were used for the first time to make a copper sulfate crystal via chemical reaction. We can make a copper(II) sulfate crystal using a simple method which is easier, safer and saves time in class. And since a small quantity of chemicals are being used in SSC chemical methods, waste is greatly reduced. This lessens the amount of environmental problems caused by the experiment. This can be helpful in preserving nature. In addition the cost of chemical and laboratory equipment is greatly reduced because it uses material that we find in our daily lives. There will be continued study of small-scale methods such as improvement of new programs, study and training of teachers, and securing SSC tools. I would like to suggest such as SSC methods are applicable in elementary School Science. I would like it to become a wide spread program.

  • 그물구조 다공성 금속을 황산과 황산구리 수용액을 전해질로 사용하여 전기화학적으로 제조하였으며, 이때 균질 전착에 영향을 미치는 구리이온 농도에 대해 살펴보았다. 전해질 중의 황산에 대한 구리이온의 농도비가 감소하면 전해질의 점성이 감소하여 전기전도도의 향상을 가지고 오며, 분극도(polarizability)의 상승을 유발시켜 균일 전류밀도 분포력(throwing power)을 향상시키는 효과를 나타내었다. 그물구조 다공성 금속을 제조하기 위한 최적의 조건은 한계 전류밀도와 균일 전류밀도 분포력을 고려하여 결정되어야 하며, 인가전류가 $10mA/cm^2$일 때 0.2M $CuSO_4\cdot\;5H_2O+0.5\;H_2SO_4$임을 확인하였다.

Protective Effect of Caesalpinia sappan L. on Hydrogen Peroxide

  • In this study, we demonstrated the antioxidant effect of the Caesalpinia sappan L. extract through the scavenging effect against 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical and the protective effect on protein damage and PC12 cells against cupric ion/hydrogen peroxide. Its IC/sub 50/ value of the scavenging effect against DPPH radical was 7.7 ㎍. Protection of its extract against oxidative bovine serum albumin (BSA)damage induced by hydrogen peroxide was more effective than that of vitamin C. The protective effect on PC12 cells by hydrogen peroxide was shown to be more potent in is extract than in vitamin C. DNA fragmentation analysis also supports this result.
