Development of Lorentz Force Type Integrated Motor-bearing System in Dual Rotor Disk Configuration (두 장의 원판형 회전자를 갖는 로렌츠형 자기 베어링 내장 전동기의 개발)

  • Tn this paper. dual rotor disk configuration with a coreless stator is proposed for the Lorentz force type integrated motor hearing system. An experimental compensation for the effects of high order harmonics is performed using the digital controller of the experimental setup. The runout profile and rotor unbalance are also identified by the extended influence coefficient method. The experimental results confirm that this compensation scheme effectively attenuates the rotor vibration all over the operating range of rotational speed.

  • The distribution, ultrastructure, and cytochemical properties of microbodies (peroxisomes) from the main roots and mature leaves of Panax ginseng were studied by electron microscopy included the activity of catalase in 3, 3'-diaminobenzidine (DAB) medium at pH 9, using glutaraldehyde-fixed tissues. The microbodies, which are about $0.5{\sim}1.5{\mu}$ diameter, were described from mesophyll cells of mature leaves and storage cells and cambial cells of main roots. The microbodies of the ginseng include the coreless, homogeneous matrix, in which catalase activities are present.

  • 현재 Passive component 중의 하나인 트랜스포머의 소형화가 큰 이슈로 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기판의 와전류 효과의 영향을 줄이기 위해 LTCC기판을 이용하여 트랜스포머를 설계하고, 1:1 및 1:n의 권선 수를 갖는 두 코일의 인덕턴스 및 상호 인덕턴스를 시뮬레이션 하였다. 트랜스포머의 최대 크기는 2.55mm $\times$ 1.1 mm 이고 선폭은 50um 선간 간격은 50um이고, 기둥의 높이는 40um이다. MEMS 기술을 사용하여 기판 커플링과 저항손을 줄임으로서 8.5GHz 에서 0.33dB의 낮은 삽입 손실을 나타냈다.

  • An axial-flux permanent-magnet machine(AFPM) topology with coreless winding is proposed. In the proposed AFPM configuration. the winding consists of a hexagon-shaped coils encapsulated in fiber-reinforced epoxy resin. Due to the lack of the iron core. the overall machine structure has high compactness and lightness. The simplified design calculation of the back emf was obtained. In this study, motor design was carried out using the software package Maxwell. This paper discusses the basic design of coil winding of AFPM motor. Experimental results were taken form a prototype machine rated 0.4 Nm, 2000 rpm.

  • Small wind turbines are becoming a viable technology option to supply electricity to landowners. These systems provide energy security, product relatively no environmental harm, and in an appropriate setting can be quite cost-competitive with traditional electricity options. This paper is dealing with the methods how to overcome such inconvenience and with the analysis of characteristic and a field test with a prototype of the stand alone wind turbine was performed. The method applies to small systems, equipped with a coreless axial-flux permanent magnet(AFPM) generator in the turbine, a dc-dc converter and batteries. The analysis concentrates on the effect of the load on the power-wind speed curve of the turbine. The system is designed for direct driven, coupled with turbine and generator with a rated power of, 3kW.

  • A design and fabrication result of a ultra-small brushless DC motor is presented. The outer diameter of the motor is 3mm. This motor is designed to 3 phase coreless winding, and operated with synchronous type driver. The experimental results for back EMF value, static torque and speed characteristics are presented and discussed.

  • This paper present the characteristic improvements of one-coil coin type vibration Motor. Rotor is consist of coreless coil and 4 segment commutator. Magnet is 4 pole, z direction magnetized. This one-coil coin type vibration motor has simple mechanical structure and good efficiency. So production cost is lower than other having 2 or more coils coin type motor but it has the weak points. That is small vibration magnitude and dead zone. Modifying the shape of rotor, vibration magnitude is increased. To avoid the dead zone we attached more magnetic body on rotor. As result we show the optimal position of magnetic body.

  • Recently most machineries have been small size and mobile type. And human body insertion type endoscope and micro robot technology has been developed. Then the motors used in this field are developed in micro size such as about 2mm in diameter. The structure of this motor is similar to a general brushless DC(BLDC) motor but because of small size there is no position sensor such as hall sensor. In this paper, a design and fabrication result of an ultra-small brushless DC motor is presented. This motor is designed to 3-phase coreless winding and operated with sensor-less type driver. Test results confirmed the feasibility of the proposed motor drive system design.

  • This paper deals with the design and characteristic analysis of a coreless an axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) motor. Axial-flux permanent magnet motors prove to be the best candidate for application in electric vehicles (EVs) as direct-drive wheel motors, as in comparison with conventional motors they allow design with higher compactness, lightness and efficiency. Recently, issues regarding environment and the diversification of dependence in oil are watched with keen interest. In this theses, through the simulation of AFPM for low and high torque which has stator in the center and two rotors each side, understand its specialty, with this, make a prototype motor and design drive which can enhance the motors stability in low speed. Especially, specialty of motors torque power output will be mainly talked and based on this, possibility of application in EVs will be inspected by the theoretical study and the test.

A Method for Reducing the Number of Metal Layers for Embedded LSI Package

  • We have successfully demonstrated a high-pin-count and thin embedded-LSI package to realize next generation's mobile terminals. The following three design key points were applied: (i) Using Cu posts, (ii) Using the coreless structure, (iii) Using a Cu plate as the ground plane. In order to quantitatively determine the contribution of the three points, the five-stage process for reducing the number of metal layers is described by means of the electrical simulation. The point-(i) and (ii) are effective from the viewpoint of the power integrity (PI); that is, these points play important roles in reducing the number of metal layers, and especially the point-(ii) contributes at least twice as the point-(i). The point-(iii) is not effective in the PI, but has a few effects on the signal integrity (SI). For reducing the number of metal layers, we should, at first, pay attention whether the PI characteristics fulfill the specification, and then we should confirm the SI characteristics.
