  • In the previous comparative studies of international competitiveness conducted before 2003, Korean construction productivity had been estimated to be lower (or poor) than that of developed countries such as US, UK, and Japan. However, the amount of international contracts Korean has won increased substantially, and Korean construction has progressed with creating two skyscrapers such as Petronas Tower and Burj Dubai. At this point we need to reevaluate what we are capable of. In this paper, we evaluated international competitiveness of our construction industry comparing to advanced countries by analyzing labor productivity. For evaluating construction competitiveness we measured labor productivity using the value of construction work in US dollar per hour based on domestic and foreign statistical data and analyzing completion days per a story and the ratio of underground floors to ground floors of buildings in Korea and Japan. As a result, although our construction productivity is not yet competitive with the US and Japan yet, we excel the UK.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop curriculum for the Department of Computer Application Based Army Contracts. Because the Army contract department is a retraining undergraduate degree program targeting noncommissioned officers in service, its curriculum has no choice but to differ from those of other departments. The curriculum of the Department of Computer Application focuses on the reeducation of noncommissioned officers in service and consumers of education. In addition to the subjects related to the scientific and informational movement of the military, the subjects needed to qualify for the second-degree military counsellor certificate are reflected in the curriculum, which is a first for regular universities. The appropriate curriculum of the Department of Computer Application will be proposed including subjects for noncommissioned officers to cultivate leadership skills for managing subordinates and various subjects road map of department specializations will be also developed.

  • Today\\`s wide variety of component-based development environments supports the component framework that can be used only for the specific type of components. And many researches have shown that it is necessary for the component-based development environment to support recursive component composition, various kinds of component composition patterns and the multi-tier component architecture for the real benefits of software component composition. In this paper we propose the component composition specification which can not only specify the interaction contracts between components but also supports recursive component composition, and we also propose the component composition model based on this component composition specification. The proposed component composition specification can express the contractual properties that existing component specification techniques cannot specify, and it can be also used to implement the component architectures with multi-tier concept and the tool for component composition through supporting the various kinds of component composition patterns.

  • Construction Management means a comprehensive plan of given the resources and the operation of the elements to complete the construction within the construction period. The construction period of these shall be determined by calculation based on reliable initial business. However, in actual field, inaccurate task duration is determined to the intuitive judgments of representative, reference of a similar project construction period of the past. As previous studies for the improvement of existing methods, This study presented a standard model that can be utilized in the early stages of construction projects for the TBM method operating by diameter (2.6m, 3.0m, 3.5m, 5.0m, 8.0m), and This study presented and calculated construction period which can estimated quickly the entire outline the construction period Therefore, When performing TBM construction work in the future, the total construction period which presented and analyze by TBM diameter, can be used as a useful material which plan and manage construction contracts, construction estimating, construction planning to the basic planning stage, and the basic design stage.

  • In this paper, value relevance of the level of dependence on separate accounts in non-life-insurance companies is studied. As noted by Shim et al. (2015), the separate accounts of insurance companies consist of contracts with different attributes from the general accounts, so it is likely that firm value will vary depending on the insurer's dependence on the separate accounts. Thus, in this paper, an empirical analysis has been conducted using quarterly financial data and stock price data from domestic listed non-life-insurance companies from 2011 to 2018. The analysis shows that variables representing the level of dependence on separate accounts have a significant negative relevance to firm value. These results may suggest that changes in the proportion of a non-life-insurer's separate accounts may result in a change to its firm value under the same net assets and net income scales in aggregate accounts. This study provides management implications for the operation of separate accounts from the perspective of maximizing firm value. In addition, this study suggests that disclosure system improvement would be necessary to more directly report the operational performance of the separate accounts.

  • Bitcoin-based blockchain technology provides an infrastructure that enables anonymous smart contracts, low-cost remittances, and online payments. However, the block-chain technology that implements the bitcoin has scalability constraints in tradeoffs between throughput and latency. To solve these problems, the Byzantine fault tolerant block-chain technique has been proposed. This technique improves throughput without increasing latency by selecting a leader and constructing many microblocks that do not contain proofs of work within the existing block by the leader. However, this technique may be less secure than existing techniques in selecting the reader. In this paper, we propose a technique for scalability of the blockchain technology by using microblock technology and parallel execution technique. Within one microblock there is information about several transactions. In the proposed scheme, the throughput of the microblocks can be increased by performing concurrently.

  • This study introduced the new technologies that are expanding the realm of electronic commerce to the Internet and small business. Each of the key components of electronic commerce(contracts, signatures, notaries, payment systems and adult trails)are supported in the new electronic commerce. Electronic commerce is more than just handling purchase transactions and funds transfers over the internet. Despite Electronic commerce's past roots in transactions between large corporations, banks, and other financial institutions, the use of the internet as a way to bring Electronic commerce to the individual consumer has led to shift in viewpoint. Over the past few years, both the press and the business community have increased their focus on Electronic commerce involving the consumer Effective payment system should be established for the internet commerce. In this study, we examined the current development and application of Electronic payment system. Two different payment systems are used and under application. One is IC-card type of payment system which has gained popularity in England, Hong-Kong, and many other countries as a substitution of cash. The other type of payment system is e-cash, which is used more conveniently for the payment through internet. The question of which method is better fitted for the internet commerce should be evaluated in the view of cost and benefit since the associated technology is still under evolution. This study conducted a study on Secure Payment Method & Security Technology of Electronic Commerce

  • This study analyzed the contracts for library remuneration, amount of the remuneration, average amount of the remuneration in relation to kinds of libraries, distribution of the remuneration, and types and publication year of the works to be collected remuneration based on the data during 2004~2014 from the KORRA. As results, current library remuneration system has limitations for libraries to digitize and transmit to the public their collections, Also, there are some limitations to the protection for copyright holders because the amount of the remuneration collected from libraries has declined and non distribution remuneration has been so high. This study suggested that the library remuneration system needs to be revised considering the scope of library materials to be digitized and predicted frequency of use. Also, the better practical solution to protect copyright holders is not a raise of the library remuneration but the efficient use of the non distribution remuneration.

  • Recently the arts and cultural sector is drawing attention as a new growth engine of the Korean economy. The paper is empirically analyzed on the gender wage differentials in the arts and cultural sector and specially focused on decomposing the wage differentials between the manufacturing sector and the arts and cultural sector. Our results may be partly useful for explaining the existing phenomenon of the arts and cultural sector in Korean labor markets, for example, young, highly educated, part-time contracts, less gender discrimination, etc. The results might provide somehow the policy directions of reducing the gender wage differentials.

  • This study was aimed to establish a workable strategies to operate KESLI consortium reliably. To encourage the research purposes, it was mainly investigated international literature on current challenges for the e-journals consortium in comparison with the domestic implications. Major issues and challenges are divided to six items by scholarly communication changes and e-journals percentage increase, a big deal for a contract -based consortium pricing model in vogue, a consortium of the price hikes and making budget difficulties, use the standard statistics by the results of the use, archiving and archive security uncertainty, and contracts public availability of such external conditions. As a result, the international challenges of E-journals consortium was similar to KESLI, but the depth of information and research on domestic was weaker than the international research. To see more research and a rational perception based on scientific evidence and alternatives that enable KESLI working in the field was needed to be.
