원자적으로 균일한 평판 위에서 움직이는 물 액적에 대한 분자동역학 시뮬레이션 (A Molecular Dynamics Simulation for the Moving Water Droplet on Atomistically Smooth Solid Surface)

  • The variation in the shape of water droplet moving on atomistically smooth solid surface in the presence of a constant body force is simulated using molecular dynamics simulation. We investigated how the advancing and receding contact angle of the moving water droplet changes on a solid surface having various characteristic energies. From the MD simulation results, we obtained the density profile defined as the number of water molecules at a given position. Then, assuming the water droplet periphery to be a circle, we calculated the contact angles by using a nonlinear fitting of the half-density contour line. The present simulation clearly shows the different profile of the advancing and receding contact angle for these three different interaction potential between the water droplet and the solid surface.

  • The Job of Milling in the Local Skill Contest in 1996 was to assemble parts into a complete whole of the parts number 1, 3, 4 worded by Milling Machine and the parts number 2 worked by Machining Center. In the parts of Milling Machine, the Job was to work 45$^{\circ}$angle working, T-slot, dovetail, the correct position drilling, rimming, boring, etc. In the Machining Center, there were the way of calculation of point of contact of 'R' contour curved line and lots of working elements. So, it was possible to work the parts and assemble them within the time limit only through the program to be made out in the way to shorten working hours.

고려청자(高麗靑磁)의 형태분석(形態分析) (매병(梅甁)의 균제성(均齊性) 연구(硏究)) (Analysis of the Koryo Celadon Shape (The Symmetry Study on the Maebyong))

  • The typical characteristic shape of the Koryo inlaid celadon Maebyong was reviewed and the symmetry of S curve was analyzed by the method of geometric basis. The contours of Maebyongs sampled were drawn and divided with geometric rectangular proportion. The analytical results showed the static and dynamic symmetric of the vase and the ratios of height and base of the rectangles established for the analysis of their shapes were almost 1:1, 1:${\sqrt{2}}$ and 3:5(known as the Golden Ratio). The excellent beauty of the curve was principally caused by the balanced and harmonius division of the proportional rectangles. The contour line was developed along with the logarithmic spiral modified and introduced lately into the shape of Yi dynasty's liquor bottle.

  • Presented in this paper is a new fast and robust algorithm generating NC tool path for 2D pockets with islands. The input shapes are composed of line segments and circular arcs. The algorithm has two steps: creation of successive offset loops and linking the loops to a tool path. A modified pairwise technique is developed in order to speed up and stabilize the offset process, and the linking algorithm is focused on avoiding thin-wall cutting and minimizing tool retractions. The proposed algorithm has been implemented in C++ and some illustrative examples are presented to show the practical strength of the algorithm.

  • Electro-pneumatic valves are an electro-mechanical device which convert electric signal into pneumatic flow rate or pressure signal. Recently, the development tendency of electro-pneumatic valve is to make the valve with more compact and less electric power consumption style. To make the valve such as a style, the role of solenoid part is very important. This paper is used in the finite-element method for the purpose of evaluating the magnetic property of solenoid and analyze flux distribution of solenoid theoretically. From flux contour line which is obtained by numerical analysis, it verified that the plunger shape and physical property of solenoid part have influence on saturation phenomenon and leakage of magnetic fluxs. This paper made an experiment on the measurement of dynamic response time and force in order to confirm the propety of analytic result, and confirmed a good agreement between analysis results and experiment results.

Treatment of Nasal Bone Fracture using Wire Fixation in a Horse

  • A 7-year-old, 453 kg, thoroughbred-cross mare showed depression, severe nasal bleeding, diffuse swelling, and distortion of the facial contour. Physical and radiographic examinations revealed an open nasal bone fracture. Surgery was conducted under sedation with the horse in a standing position. Two holes were drilled directly above and below the fracture line. The nasal bone was raised to the normal position by inserting a periosteal elevator through the holes. Orthopedic wire was used to secure the fractured nasal bones through the holes. The horse recovered from sedation without complication. Sutures were removed three weeks after surgery. The nasal bone fracture appeared well-recovered morphologically and the recovery was confirmed by radiography. A wire fixation method is recommended to treat nasal bone fracture in a horse.

Topographic Relief Mapping on Inter-tidal Mudflat in Kyongki Bay Area Using Infrared Bands of Multi-temporal Landsat TM Data

  • The objective of this study is to develop a method to generate micro-relief digital elevation model (DEM) data of the tidal mudflats using multi-temporal Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) data. Field spectroscopy measurements showed that reflectance of the exposed mudflat, shallow turbid water, and normal coastal water varied by TM band wavelength. Two sets of DEM data of the inter-tidal mudflat area were generated by interpolating several waterlines extracted from multi-temporal TM data acquired at different sea levels. The waterline appearing in the near-infrared band was different from the one in the middle-infrared band. It was found that the waterline in TM band 4 image was the boundary between the shallow turbid water and normal coastal water and used as a second contour line having 50cm water depth in the study area. DEM data generated by using both TM bands 4 and 5 rendered more detailed topographic relief as compared to the one made by using TM band 5 alone.

제천시 영상 조감도 생성 및 3차원 시뮬레이션 기술개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Technique Develop for Perspective Image Generation and 3 Dimension Simulation in Jecheon)

  • 제천지역의 다양한도시의 형태를 입체적으로 조망해 볼 수 있도록 하기 위하여 입체 지형조감도를 작성하였고, 이를 시공간에서 동영상으로 보여주기 위하여 3차원 시뮬레이션을 실시할 수 있도록 하였다. 입체 조감도의 제작은 투시기법을 이용한 이미지 제작 기법을 이용하였으며, 그 기본재료가 되는 영상들은 다음과 같이 준비하도록 하였다. 준비영상으로는 우리나라 아리랑 위성의 EOC 영상을 이용하도록 하였으며, 국립지리원에서 국가기본도로 제작한 1/5,000 수치지도의 등고선으로부터 추출하여 임의로 오차가 보정된 DEM 생성과 1/1,000 수지지도의 도로 래이어 벡터 파일로 제작된 도로선을 분류하여 대상지의 3차원 영상위에 중첩시켜 처리하는 것으로 하였다. 특히 이번 연구에 사용한 도심지역의 도로망 구성 데이터는 새주소 부여를 위해 제작된 1/1,000축척의 간선도로를 최대한 이용함으로서 새주소에서 사용하게 될 주소체계와의 연계성을 크게 염두에 두어 제작하도록 연구하였다.

진피-지방 이식술을 이용한 하안면부 비대칭의 교정 (Correction of Lower Face Asymmetry using Dermofat Graft)

  • Purpose: To correct the facial asymmetry and to achieve symmetry and balance, not only the soft tissue restoration of deficits but also creation and facial contour line such as mandible border and angle is important. Micro fat graft has limitation such as high resorption rate and somewhat limited ability to emphasize the rigid bony characteristics of the mandible angle due to its innate soft consistency. We have investigated the advantages of dermal fat graft over micro fat graft to correct asymmetry of the lower face in patients who had undergone mandibular reconstruction or distraction, using comparative analysis. Methods: Total of 12 patients were enrolled in our study: 6 micro fat graft and 6 dermal fat graft. Postoperative results were compared and analyzed at immediate postoperative period and more than 1 year later in each group with photographs, and analysised with image J program. Result: No complications were noted both in the micro fat type and the dermal fat type of procedures such as fat necrosis or micro calcifications. All of the patients who received micro fat graft, however had considerable amount of fat resorption after the procedure which led to two additional fat graft procedures. Although minor contour obliteration due to contracture was seen in patients who had undergone dermal fat graft procedure, no definite resorption was found even after more than one year follow-up. Results of dermal fat graft patients were satisfactory in terms of mandible angle symmetry. Secondary revision was necessary in one case due to overcorrection using dermal fat graft. Conclusion: The dermal fat graft has many advantages over the conventionally more popular micro fat graft to correct asymmetry of the lower face following mandible reconstruction owing to its lower resoption rate, more effective in emphasizing the natural curvilinear anatomical contours of the mandible angle and body and lower complication rates such as fat necrosis or micro calcifications.

안면 수기 마사지 후 안모의 변화 (The Change of Facial Contouring after Facial Massage)

  • 본 연구는 안면수기 마사지 시술 후 얼굴 부피 및 두께의 안모 변화를 평가하기 위해 20~40대 여성 10명을 선정하여 주 2회, 20회의 시술을 10주간 진행하였으며, Vivid 9i$^{(R)}$ laser scanner(Minolta, Tokyo, Japan)를 사용해서 마사지 관리 전과 마사지 관리 후의 부피 변화를 비교하였다. 결과, 수기 마사지 후 얼굴 부피는 평균 $731mm^3$ 정도로 다소 감소하였으며(p>.05), 광대뼈 부위의 두께는 평균 0.40mm로 감소하였고(p<.05) 저작 부위의 두께 변화는 평균 0.44mm로 감소하였다(p<.05) 이에 얼굴 수기마사지에 의한 안모 변화는 부피와 광대뼈 및 저작 부위에서 변화가 나타났음을 알 수 있다. 이는 비침습적이면서 비교적 안전한 방법으로 비대칭 및 저작근 비대 등으로 인한 얼굴형 변화를 개선하는데 긍정적 효과를 줄 것으로 사료된다.
