The purpose of this paper is to analyze the stock market performances CAR of reorganized firms and study the disclosure effect of completion of reorganization to examine whether there exists significant economic merit for the institutionalized continuation of unprofitable firms. The main results of this paper can be summarized as follows. First, the average stock market performances for +12 months after the completion of reorganization compared to those for -6 months before the proposal of reorganization show consistently negative returns. Second, to see whether there exist significant differences between the stock market performances of reorganized firms and those of normal firms with similar characteristics, CAR's measured from -6 months before the proposal of reorganization to +12 months after the completion of reorganization are statistically tested, which results in significantly negative values starting +5 months after the completion of reorganization. Finally, to see the disclosure effect of the news of completion of reorganization, daily CAR's are measured and tested, which shows positive values only for -20 days and -19 days before the disclosure, and shows negative values for the whole periods up to +20 days after the disclosure. The results of the paper imply consistently that the reorganized firms have no better performances compared to the similar normal firms, and the performances do not improve even after the completion of reorganization, which casts serious doubts upon the current forms of the institutionalized continuation of unprofitable firms.

In a continuation of investigation on Cordyceps militaris, thirteen compounds were isolated from the $CH_2Cl_2$ and n-BuOH-soluble fraction of C. militaris. They were identified as twelve diketopiperazines such as cyclo($\small{L}$-Gly-$\small{L}$-Pro) (1), cyclo($\small{L}$-Ala-$\small{L}$-Pro) (2), cyclo($\small{L}$-Ser-$\small{L}$-Pro) (3), cyclo($\small{L}$-Val-$\small{L}$-Pro) (4), cyclo($\small{L}$-Thr-$\small{L}$-Pro) (5), cyclo($\small{L}$-Pro-$\small{L}$-Pro) (6), cyclo($\small{L}$-Thr-$\small{L}$-Leu) (7), cyclo($\small{L}$-Tyr-$\small{L}$-Ala) (8), cyclo($\small{L}$-Phe-$\small{L}$-Ser) (9), cyclo($\small{L}$-Phe-$\small{L}$-Pro) (10), cyclo($\small{L}$-Tyr-$\small{L}$-Pro) (11) and brevianamide F (13), and an amino acid, tryptophan (12). Their structures were identified on the basis of chemical evidences and spectroscopic analysis including 1D-NMR ($^1H$, $^{13}C$), 2D-NMR (HSQC, HMBC) and MS spectral data. Among the isolated compounds, compounds 1, 2, 6-11 are first reported from C. militaris.

A wavelet method is applied to the analysis of gravity potential. One scaling function is proposed to generate wavelet. The scaling function is shown to be replaced to the Green’s function in gravity potential. The upward continuation can be expressed as a wavelet transform i.e. convolution with the scaling function. The scaling factor indicates the height variation. The multiscale edge detection is carried by connecting the local maxima of the wavelet transform at scales. The multiscale edge represents discontinuity of the geological structure. The multiscale edge method is applied to gravity data from Masan and Changwon.

'Movement System' is made of the interaction of user and architectural spaces related to each other in order. 'Movement' meant in movement system is possible only in the status of user and architectural space together. Movement created and disappeared by the user is not subordinated to the existing architectural space but becomes the main element of formating movement system. It is required that movement conception applied to architecture should be derived from the essence of movement and this study presents the movement system. To explain the formating process of movement system, A. N. Whitehead's process philosophy theory is at the basis and transformed in architectural aspects. On basis of these theoretical backgrounds, the process of making movement system can be explained. There are unit movement, unit object, and elements for movement process as the basic requirements for movement system, each unit is apprehended by individual operation and the nexus is composed by associative operation of apprehended units. This nexus becomes the object of a new subject and forms multiple nexus. Relation of unit movement and unit object and nexus are apprehended as the continuation and extensive continuum is made. At that time, movement with multiple phases set inbetween systems and extended multiplied. Through above study, movement system is applied to Korean traditional houses.

2002 was the first year that the export of Korean TV programs exceeded the import. Particularly, there is no doubt that dramas, as for a genre, dominated the market, from 64.3% in 2001 to 93.6% in 2003. Especially, the increasing demand from the Chinese block such as Taiwan, China and the neighbor countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the preference of Korean drama in Japan shows the continuation of booming Korean wave. Questions frequently asked in this current circumstance may be what kind of dramas are better to be exported and to which country Korean dramas are exported. Based upon those needs, this paper examines the determining factors of Korean drama exports to foreign countries. Especially, this study examines the internal factors to the drama influencing export by countries. For this study, 594 Korean dramas aired on MBC and exported between 2002 and 2005 will be analysed by chi-square analysis.

This study was conducted to get reasonable and abundant hydrological time series of monthly flows simulated by a best fitting stochastic simulation model for the establishment of rational design and the rationalization of management for agricultural hydraulic structures including reservoirs. Comparative analysis carried out for both statistical characteristics and synthetic monthly flows simulated by the multi-season first order Markov model based on Gamma distribution which is confirmed as good one in the first report of this study and by Harmonic synthetic model analyzed in this report for the six watersheds of Yeong San and Seom Jin river systems. 1.Arithmetic mean values of synthetic monthly flows simulated by Gamma distribution are much closer to the results of the observed data than those of Harmonic synthetic model in the applied watersheds. 2.In comparison with the coefficients of variation, index of fluctuation for monthly flows simulated by two kinds of synthetic models, those based on Gamma distribution are appeared closer to the observed data than those of Harmonic synthetic model both in Yeong San and Seom Jin river systems. 3.It was found that synthetic monthly flows based on Gamma distribution are considered to give better results than those of Harmonic synthetic model in the applied watersheds. 4.Continuation studies by comparison with other simulation techniques are to be desired for getting reasonable generation technique of synthetic monthly flows for the various river systems in Korea.

This paper is a continuation of the investigations started in the paper by Akbarov, S.D., Guliyev, H.H and Yahnioglu, N. (2016) "Natural vibration of the three-layered solid sphere with middle layer made of FGM: three-dimensional approach", Structural Engineering and Mechanics, 57(2), 239-263, to the case where the three-layered sphere is a hollow one. Three-dimensional exact field equations of elastodynamics are employed for investigation and the discrete-analytical method is employed for solution of the corresponding eigenvalue problem. The FGM is modelled as inhomogeneous for which the modulus of elasticity, Poison's ratio and density vary continuously through the inward radial direction according to power law distribution. Numerical results on the natural frequencies are presented and discussed. These results are also compared with the corresponding ones obtained in the previous paper by the authors. In particular, it is established that for certain harmonics and for roots of certain order, the values of the natural frequency obtained for the hollow sphere can be greater (or less) than those obtained for the solid sphere.

Epilepsy is a chronic cerebral. disease resulting from a variety of factors, which is a syndrome with chief complaint of recurrent seizure caused by abnormal electrical discharge of cerebral nerve cell, while the clinical result showed that epilepsia occurs more frequently in pediatrics. A Child having the chief complaint of recerrent vomiting for 2 months undergone the brain and abdominal C.T, MRI, and gastric endoscopy, when the child was normal. While vomiting gas too serious to administer a medicine, a cyclic vomiting repeated with its discontinuation for 2-3 days after continuation for 10 days. As a result, the child visited the ambulatorium of our hospital and then was hospitalized and treated over two times, when there was a remarkably improvement. There was no any particular complaint for 1 year and 2 months, then, the child complained moderate headache. For thjs reason, we performed again electroencephalography, when there appeared in epilepsia opinion. Since then, we have experienced a case of autonomic nervous seizure which was significantly improved by anticonvulsant, and a therapy by using the phlegm resolvents and central stimulants for treating epilepsy(豁痰醒腦治癎法) as an oriental medicine. Therefore, it is to report both treatment view of oriental medicine and analysis on Oriental and Western medical literatures.

In continuation of our studies on essential oils of Angelica genus(Umbelliferae), We report on the components of essential oils obtained from the root of Angelica tenuissima Nakai(藁子). Oils were obtained from the dried roots by steam distillation and fractionated by column chromatography. Each isolate or fraction was identified by GC, GC-MS and spectral analysis. Essential oils of the root of A. tenuissima(Gaoben) were found to contain $\alpha-pinene,\;camphene,\;\beta-pinene,\;myrcene,\;\alpha-phellandrene,\;\Delta-3-carene,\;p-cymene,\;limonene,\;\gamma-terpinene,\;terpinolene,\;4-vinylguauacol,\;\gamma-elemene$, one aromatic compound, three unidentified sesquiterpene alcohols, butylidenephthalide, senkyunolide and Z-ligustilide which was the most abundant compound comprising 75% of the whole oil. Also butylphthalide and hydroxybutylidenephalide were tentatively identified.
