The purpose of this study was to analyze the organizational framework and contents of the clothing design section of the middle school textbook of Technology & Home-economics(1) of the revised curriculum in 2009. The scope this study lies in external characteristics such as framework, contents and the like from the Home Economics area of textbooks by seven publishers chosen from those that were authorized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in 2012. The result showed that the seven textbooks have the same top Unit 'Juvenile Life' and mid-Unit 'Clothing and Self-expression' but that smaller units were different and diverse in content. In the small unit 'Clothing and Self-expression' of the clothing design section, contents are structured to be put into practice by understanding and exercising the concept; the contents are offered as design theories, clothes design, clothing, and activities/investigation. Hanbok (Korean traditional clothes) clothing was proposed in all textbooks in an order of the right way for Hanbok clothing, names of Hanbok, kinds of Hanbok and the order of wearing Hanbok. Accordingly, this study found the seven textbooks were constructed corresponding to the revised curriculum 2009 for the clothing design section of Technology & Home-economics(1). This study suggests students can build their own insight for viewing society, the country and the world as well as appreciate their own importance in establishing consciousness if they go forward in solving the various problems they face in home life by grafting practical reasoning.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the teachers' recognition on the optimization of the educational contents of Clothing & Textiles in subjects of :he Practical Arts or the Technology & Home Economics in the course of elementary, middle and high schools. The statistical data for this research were collected from 203 questionnaires of teachers who work on elementary, middle and high schools. Mean. standard deviation, percentage were calculated using SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. Also. these materials were verified by t-test, One-way ANOVA and post verification Duncan. The results were as follows; First, The equipment ratio of practice laboratory were about 24% and very poor in elementary schools but those of middle and high school were 97% and 78% each and higher than elementary schools. Second, More than 50% of teachers recognized the amount of learning 'proper'. The elementary school teachers recognized the mount of learning in 'operating sewing machines' too heavy especially, the same as middle school teachers in 'making shorts': the same as high school teachers in 'making tablecloth and curtain' and 'making pillow cover or bag'. Third, All of the elementary, middle and high school teachers recognized the levels of total contents of clothing and textiles 'common'. The 80% of elementary school teachers recognized 'operating sewing machines' and 'making cushions' difficult especially. The same as middle school teachers in 'hand knitting handbag by crochet hoop needle', 'the various kinds of cloth' and 'making short pants'. The same as high school teachers in 'making tablecloth or curtain'. Fourth, Elementary school teachers recognized 'practicing basic hand needlework' and 'making pouch using hand needlework' important in the degree of educational contents importance. Middle school teachers recognized 'making short pants unimportant. High school teachers considered the contents focusing on practice such as 'making tablecloth and curtain' and 'making pillow cover or bags' unimportant. My suggestions were as follows; Both laboratories and facilities for practice should be established for making clothing and textiles lessons effective in Practical Arts in elementary schools. The 'operating sewing machines' which were considered difficult should be dealt in upper grade, re-conditioning to easier or omitted. The practical contents should be changed to student-activity-oriented and should be recomposed in order to familiar with students' living. It was needed to various and sufficient supports for increasing the teachers' practical abilities.
This study investigated the perception of upcycling for sensitive university students in regards to fashion trends. It was conducted through questionnaires delivered to male and female college students who majored in clothing related subjects from June 2012 to June 2013 in Gwangju. The contents for this research are general details, seriousness of environmental resources, awareness of upcycle, and purchasing intention for upcycling products. Most of the respondents said that recycling of resources is absolutely necessary due to the impact of environmental pollution and the consumption of resources. On the contrary, the experience of the respondents which purchased recycling products was low. The awareness of also was low, upcycling, internal upcycling brands and internal consumption groups, however, the decisions for subsequent purchases were positive. The reasons for the unsatisfactory of upcycling of products were due to quality and price. The reaction for many upcycle goods had the best question response rate in daily supplies part; subsequently, this study suggested 3 items, apparel products, fashion accessories, and daily supplies. In addition, a group which contains people who expend more for clothing had a lower awareness of upcycle and purchasing intention than other groups that contained some people who expend less. The results of the study can be used in data that recognize the necessary of upcycle education for university students, and develop educational programs. It can also encourage the purchase of upcycle products that reduce the consumption of resources.

The purpose of this research are (1) determining the basic concepts of clothing field which are included in the middle and high school home economics education curriculum ; (2) comparing the extent of need to those three groups; (3) classifying the basic concepts into units; (4) ana-lyzing the extent of need by units and providing basic data for curriculum revision. The data collecting methods of this research is questionair and the contents of this are the same. The subjects are 1085 students, 402 teachers and 80 professors. The data was analyzed by one-way ANOVA, scheffe test and factor analysis. The results were as follows: (1) 43 basic concepts were determined. (2) While the extent of need in the teachers and professors was high, that of students was me-dium or lower than the other two groups. (3)The extent of need to 40 concepts among three groups were significantly different. (4)According to the results from the factor analysis 7 units were formed. (5)‘Accurate dressing’was the most needed thing among three groups.

This study was conducted to identify a problem of Industrial Arts$.$Home Economics subjects, and to improve its curriculum contents. In order to have accomplished the above objectives, the experts were gained about ideas and methods about organization of the curriculum contents of Industrial Arts$.$Home Economics subjects. In second questionnaire, based on the curriculum contents of Industriasl Arts$.$Home Economics subjects draw from the above review of literatures, the opinions of the experts were investigated about review of literatures, the opinions of the experts were investigated about the selection of the contents of Home Economics, Industrial Arts, respectively. The selected data in first questionnaire was manipulated by the frequency and percent. The curriculum contents in second questionnaire was selected above the sum total 80 in Home Economics subjects and above the sum total 61 in Industrial Arts subjects. The distinction of curriculum contents selected by the each domain were as follows. (1) The daily life as a consumer and the importance of home management were emphasized in the curriculum contents selected in the domains of consuming and management. (2) The vocational investigation, the course education, and the development of the young generation were emphasized in the curriculum contents selected in the domains of the family living and human development. (3) The basic Knowledge of nutrition and cooking and the contents related to the food choice were emphasized in the curriculum selected in the nutrition and food. (4) The choice and care of clothing a proper personal appearance, and the contents related to the machinery and tools were emphasized in the curriculum contents selected in the clothing and textiles. (5) The economical aspects of housing, the contents of the reasonable housing choics, and the contents for vital skills were emphasized in the housing and instruments.
The purpose of this study was to develop a pragmatic fashion internship program as a following study of 'An analysis of the consciousness of the professors and college students for the fashion industry internship'. The methods of the quantitative analysis and some case studies were used for this study. The results of this study were as follows : Internship program has 6 steps ; ready, introduction, selection, operation, reputation, management. It will help professors and college students to execute the program systematically. The contents of the fashion internship program model for professors were as follows: 8 recruiting methods to find internship companies, the contents of the internship agreement, 6 types of internship, the contents of the recommendation letter, advanced education contents for a fashion internship, e-mentoring program model, a curriculum of the cultural study and the major course, evaluation standard elements of the intern students, the methods of evaluation etc.

The purpose of this research is to analyse the composition of theories and practical activities in clothing and textiles in Technologyㆍ Home economics textbooks in the 7th National Curriculum and find out learning requirement of students in the area. For this research, a survey was conducted using questionnaires with 280 high school students living in Daegu and the rate of response was 78.9%. The results of this study are as follows. 1. After analysing the curriculum of Practical Arts subject in elementary school and Technology´ Home Economics subject in secondary school, we could find out that more emphasis is put on practical activities in elementary school and high school. On the other hand, theories are considered more important in middle school. 2. Students have similar preference both for theories and for practical activities as a way of learning in class and show positive responses to practical activities unless they´re giving too much pressure as a part of performance test. 3. According to their learning requirement. several teaching-learning contents in clothing and textiles in Technology Home economics are selected such as materials,. clothes designs, how to set dressed well, how to make a reasonable purchase on clothes, and the process of manufacturing various clothes, etc. Therefore it would be desirable to provide the students with the learning opportunity to the extent where even the students who haven´t chosen the selected-advanced course can take part in class actively.

The article surveys the technique and characteristics of contemporary fashion exhibitions in terms of fashion museography and fashion curation. The article reviewed both a literature study on the history of fashion exhibition focused on the display technique as well as a case study of domestic and international contemporary fashion exhibitions. The results of the article is as follows. Fashion brand exhibitions are about building competitive business advantage by planning differentiated contents. It gives viewers a brand fantasy and increases brand loyalty. This type mainly displays the latest collections on the commercial purpose as well as uses diverse mediums and high technology to make a spectacular space that provides an immersive experience to the viewer. Second, the museum fashion exhibition focuses on the roles of fashion in terms of social, cultural and artistic aspects that also focus on public education. The presentation technique emphasizes careful collection conservation rather than celebrate fashion business. The article is to encourage a further scholar discourse of fashion curatorial practice and theory.

The education status of the body make-up foundations for teenage girls was evaluated and their purchase & wearing behaviors and the level of satisfaction were studied to analyze the relationship between education level and wearing satisfaction. The research was conducted for 728 middle and high school girls in Seoul and Incheon area, by the questionnaire method. The collected data was analyzed by SPSS. Frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, $X^2$-test, t-test, and ANOVA were performed. Among various foundation education contents learned in home economics class, most students were aware of the kind of underwear, the fiber content & management methods, laundry methods, and the kind and function of foundations. While more than 80% of all respondents didn't know about the size of foundations. As a results, most of students realized the influence of foundation wearing on the human body, selection methods for brassiere and girdle according to form and age, and matters to be attended to wear brassiere and girdle. The education standard, practical use, and awareness degree on the side effects, and the need for foundation education were positively related each other. Therefore, it is very important to educate teenage girls in the fast growth period the right selection of foundation and its effect on body health, in order to provide normal growth and healthy body.

This studies were carried out in order to develope environmentally-friendly fiber materials and substitute resources of Paper mulberry. Various plant fibers such as New Zealand flax, Indian mallow, Kuzu vine and Yucca were used as raw materials of hand-made papers. We rotted these 4 kinds of plant fibers and removed non-cellulose. After rotting, the pulping rate(%) and the length of fibers in pulps were measured. The physical characteristics of papers made of various plants fiber were investigated and the probabilities of practical use were considered. The results were as follow: The non-cellulose contents of plant fibers were $30{\sim}40%$ and those contents must be lower down to 8% to be able to manufacture the hand made papers. The lignin in pulps were removed almost and the hemicellulose were partially removed to reach up to appropriate level of the pulp rates and fiber lengths. The more hemicellulose removed, the finer fiber thickness were and rapidly the lower Hanji tensile strength were. But the tear strength of these plants of hand-made papers do not decreased so much as tensile strength. So the property of 4 types of plant fibers might be of great advantages to make hand-made papers. Both tensile and tear strengths of Hanji of New Zealand flax, Indian mallow, Kuzu vine and Yucca were higher than Paper mulberry hand-made paper. When 30% of mulberry paper were mixed, the mixing effect showed maximum. Because of the functions of all plant fiber hand-made papers showed better than those of Paper mulberry hand-made paper, 4 types of plant fibers could be substitute Paper mulberry.
