수요자 중심의 산업안전보건교육 과정 개발을 위한 요구분석 -관리감독자 정기안전보건교육을 중심으로- (Analysis of Educational Needs for Developing a Consumer-oriented Regular Safety and Health Education Curriculum - Focusing on Management Supervisors)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to suggest a direction for consumer-oriented curriculum development by analyzing the priorities of subjects and their preference for educational methods. Methods: The participants included 773 management supervisors and education practitioners in the workplace, and a survey was conducted from April 17 to August 30, 2019. Frequency analysis, t-test, Borich's Needs Analysis, and Locus for Focus Model analysis were performed using Microsoft Excel 2019 and IBM SPSS 21.0. Results: The highest perceived priorities for education subjects were as follows: ① 'CPR and First Aid Practice' and 'Occupational Disaster Prevention and First Aid Basics' in the manufacturing industry; and ② 'Emotional Labor and Job Stress Prevention', 'Occupational Disaster Prevention and First Aid basics, and 'Musculoskeletal Disorder Prevention' in the service industry. 'Collective education' was the most preferred method of education. 'School-type' was preferred for the seating arrangement, and the proper number of trainees was considered to be about 30. Respondents said the contents of the education was a top priority when they applied for education, and curriculum and appropriate textbooks should be considered in calculating the cost of education. Conclusions: Practical subjects and subjects related to major hazards by industry were required for management supervisor education. It was proposed in this study that the contents and operating methods of education be changed so that workers can easily comprehend essential subjects such as the Occupational Safety and Health Act. In conclusion, it is necessary to design the curriculum and apply educational methods suitable for each subject's characteristics in consideration of the priorities for subjects reflected in the needs of trainees.

유기농산물 소비자인식이 재구매의사에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Consumer Awareness of Organic Agricultural Products on Repurchase Intention)

  • Purpose - The number of consumers adopting a lifestyle of health and sustainability has recently increased with the rise of trends in healthy living. The size of the organic agricultural product market has also increased given that these consumers prefer consuming environmentally friendly products that promote family health. However, awareness of organic agricultural products remains insufficient because of the characteristics of the Korean organic agriculture system, which only focuses on food safety inspection. The object of this research is to suggest a policy approach to increase understanding and to expand the purchasing of organic agricultural products by analyzing the influence of customer recognition of such products on their willingness to repurchase. Research design, data, and methodology - This study used binomial logistic regression analysis with the aim of explaining the effects of consumers' socio-demographic characteristics, their awareness of the equivalence arrangement for organic food and of the abolishment of low-pesticide agricultural product certification, and their viewing of negative broadcasts about organic agricultural products on their repurchase intention of such products. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 655 respondents who were in their 20s, lived either in Seoul or in its metropolitan area, and had purchased organic agricultural products. Result - From the results of the analysis, the majority of the respondents recognized organic agricultural products, but they found their prices to be expensive. The majority of the respondents were also aware of the certification system and the reliability of organic agricultural products. However, the results indicate that efforts need to be made to recover consumer trust as many respondents stated that their trust levels in these products were low. In general, those purchasing organic agricultural products were satisfied, but those answering "very satisfied" were not in the majority. Binomial logistic regression analysis results revealed that repurchase intention decreased as consumers viewed a greater number of negative broadcasts about these products. On the other hand, repurchase intention increased as they became more aware of the abolishment of low-pesticide certification. Repurchase intention also increased as income increased, as the number of family members decreased, and when a consumer was a member of a consumer organization. In addition, the older the consumers were who watched the TV programs, the smaller the number of family members that were aware of the abolishment of low-pesticide agricultural product certification and, the higher the income of the consumers aware of organic equivalence arrangement, the greater their repurchase intention. Conclusion - External stimuli, such as negative TV programs on organic agricultural products and the abolishment of the low-pesticide agricultural product certification, relevant social issues and systems, influence consumer repurchase intention. To that end, positive environmental and ecological broadcasting about organic agricultural products would contribute to an increase in purchasing. Additionally, this could be used for promotion and marketing plans as the results indicate that trust in organic agricultural products would cause a positive repurchasing effect.

전문의약품 소비자광고가 생활습관 변화에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (The Impact of Direct-to-Consumer Advertising of Prescription Medications on Healthy Lifestyle)

  • 전문의약품 소비자광고가 미국에서 급속도로 증가함에 따라 광고가 소비자의 생활습관 변화에 미치는 영향에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 전문의약품 소비자광고에 대한 대부분의 선행 연구들이 광고가 소비자 수요에 미치는 영향에 초점을 맞추고 있는데 반해 소비자 행동 특히 건강관련 생활습관 변화에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구는 드물다. 본 연구는 2000년에서 2004년 사이의 미국 소비자 조사와 대중적인 소비자 잡지들에 실린 전문의약품 소비자광고들 중 고지혈증, 고혈압, 당뇨, 비만 치료제 광고를 데이터베이스화한 자료를 이용하여 개별 소비자 수준에서의 광고 노출을 산출하고, 규칙적인 운동, 운동 빈도, 식이 조절 행동에 미치는 영향을 선형확률모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과 고지혈증, 고혈압, 당뇨, 비만 등의 만성질환을 보유한 소비자들이 이들 치료제 광고에 노출되어 규칙적인 운동을 할 확률은 감소하는 것으로 나타났으나, 식이조절을 할 확률은 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 개별 질환 치료제 광고 수준에서 광고 노출의 영향을 살펴본 결과, 고지혈증 보유자들의 경우 고지혈증 치료제 광고 노출이 증가할수록 주당 운동 빈도가 증가할 확률이 높아지는 것으로 나타났으나 고혈압, 비만 환자인 경우 이들 각각의 치료제 광고의 노출이 증가할수록 주당 운동 빈도와 식이 조절을 할 확률이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교육 수준이 낮은 소비자의 경우 광고 노출이 이들이 규칙적으로 운동을 하는데 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 전문 의약품 소비자광고가 소비자와 관련 질환에 따라 다른 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 전문의약품 소비자광고가 소비자의 건강한 생활습관 향상에 도움이 되도록 하기 위해서는 꾸준한 모니터링이 중요하며, 전문의약품 소비자광고에 건강한 생활습관을 유도할 수 있는 메시지를 포함하도록 규제하는 것이 필요하다.

미국 근로자 가계의 의료보험지출과 영향요인 (Determinants of Out-of Pocket Health Insurance Expenditure by the Employed in the US.)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the factors associated with health insurance expenditures of the employed in the US. The data were from the 1994 Consumer Expenditure Surrey and the sample selected was admits aged 18 to 64 who were either a single head of household or part of a married couple. Results of Tobit regression indicated that age, education, and occupation of household head, region of residence, number of earners, homeownership(as a proxy for wealth), total expenditure(as a proxy for income), health care expenditures(as a proxy for health status) are significantly related to out-of-pocket health insurance expenditures by the employed.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine internet agent of IT(Information Technology) in health care industry Since IT is essential for corporate strategy in service management, this section examines IT in health care service, especially from the view of 'Agent Technology' that has been recently issued. Intelligent agent is a new paradigm for developing software applications. More than this, agent-based computing has been hailed as 'the next significant break-through in software development' and 'the new revolution in software'. And health care service is a non-mechanic, human-based service. This paper reviewed what possible suggestions or advices can be made to the health care service. Since many health care services using internet have been attempted over the recent years, this study will hopefully be able to come up with good suggestions from many aspects. Thus, information inequality between producer(physician) and consumer(patient) in health care service will be decreased through the introduction of agent technology.

일부농촌 중학생의 건강흥미분석 -수동중학교 건강교육 내용개발을 중심으로- (An analysis of the Health Interests of rural middle school students. - Development of health education content in Soo - Dong school -)

  • The purpose of this study was undertaken to determine the health interests by middle school students in Soo-Dong Myun. It was planned that this data would help nursing help students who is under the community health nursing pratice in Soo-Dong, and development of health education programmes. The instrument used which was orginially the Health Interest Inventory by Ramsdell, was modified. This study involed 358 students ranging from 1 st year to 3 rd year and was carried out from September 1 to 30, 1979. The results obtained as follows ; 1. Comparing students health interests by grade, there was a high interested areas were$\ulcorner$Dental health$\lrcorner$,$\ulcorner$Mental health$\lrcorner$, and$\ulcorner$Alcohol, drugs and smoking$\lrcorner$On the other hand the least interested areas were$\ulcorner$Family health$\lrcorner$and$\ulcorner$weight control$\lrcorner$There was a difference between 2 nd and 3 rd year by grade mean score. In the health areas, all grade students are interested in$\ulcorner$Nutrition$\lrcorner$.$\ulcorner$control & preventive disease$\lrcorner$and$\ulcorner$consumer health$\lrcorner$. 2. Comparing students health interests by sex. the tank order of health interests was similar to both sex, The most interested areas were$\ulcorner$Mental Health$\lrcorner$,$\ulcorner$Dental health$\lrcorner$. and$\ulcorner$Alcohol, drugs, and smoking$\lrcorner$. The least interested areas were$\ulcorner$Family health$\lrcorner$and$\ulcorner$weight control$\lrcorner$. There was no sinificant difference by sex. But in the health areas. girls are interested in$\ulcorner$Nutrition$\lrcorner$and$\ulcorner$Control and preventive disease$\lrcorner$. and boys are interested in the$\ulcorner$Safety education$\lrcorner$. 3. There was a highest correlation between$\ulcorner$Family health$\lrcorner$area and$\ulcorner$personal grooming$\lrcorner$, the lorvest correlation between$\ulcorner$consumer health$\lrcorner$area and the combined $\ulcorner$Family health$\lrcorner$and$\ulcorner$Weight control$\lrcorner$.

노인들의 건강식품 관련 문제 경험에 대한 대응 행동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reaction towards Damage Related to Health Foods among the Elderly)

  • This study examined the level of reaction towards damage related to health foods and the factors affecting this reaction among the elderly. Data were collected from 269 elderly individuals living in Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju and Busan. Frequencies, chi-square tests, and a multinomial logistic regression analysis were performed using the SPSS v. 14.0 program. When asked about their reaction towards damage related to health foods, approximately 48% of the respondents answered 'no response', 34% answered 'private response', and 18% answered 'public response'. Multinomial logistic regression analysis revealed that education level and awareness of health food price were significant factors influencing 'private response', and concerns about health foods and awareness of damage redemption were significant factors for 'public response'. These results imply that consumer education for elderly to prevent damage derived from the purchase and consumption of health foods is required.

  • The development of food science in the near future probably depends on the advance in functional food science. Actually, a number of substances and products with potential for disease risk reduction rather than simply for health maintenance have been investigated for their body-modulating functions. Some of them have been applied in practice to the industrialization of functional foods in terms of foods for health uses. Health is becoming a more important aspect of food. Consumers increasingly see the link between food and health, thus generating growing levels of consumer interest in more actively managing their diets and, by implication, their health. there is demand from consumers and strong manufacturer push towards the development of food as medicine. Pharmaceutical companies are currently focused on the medical aspects of food as medicine, but it is expected that there will be an increase in the rate of active ingredients for lifestyle application.

  • Health is an important topic of 21st century and its meaning has been changed in the direction of more inclusive and diverse way. The meaning of health became 'Community Property' to find in the social relations, and true health is considered to be made when forming 'sense of self' through their role in social relations. The community is the basic mechanism that builds social relationship, therefore it is an essential element to realize the health of modern society. In the modern concept of community, imaginal link is considered more important than physical spatial boundaries, and there is a tendency to depend more on the inter-relationship within it. This is based on the concept of health and community that formed in the changed paradigm, this study covers the concept of health community through a new approach.

우리나라 건강 불균등의 요인과 지역별 비교 - 청소년을 중심으로 (Income-related health inequalities across regions in Korea - a case of adolescents)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to estimate income-related health inequalities among adolescent population across regions in Korea. Methods: Data of 8,456 adolescents from 1998, 2001, 2005, 2007 Korean Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were used for the analysis. True health status was proxied by self-rated health and overweight status. Per capita income was computed from household monthly average income adjusted by consumer price with base year 2005. Adolescent health inequalities were estimated by Concentration Index (CI) across income and space. Results: Ill health score was related with age (p<0.0001), gender (p=0.0155) and income (p<0.0001). Negative relationship between income and ill-health indicated that higher income group tended to enjoy better health and less overweight. These evidences suggested ill health were accumulated on the economically disadvantaged adolescents. The size of health inequalities (ill-health score) were estimated as CI=-0.057 and CI=-0.030 across income groups and regions, respectively. Comparable measures of within region health disparities were also observed. Conclusion: Since health disparity among adolescent population was small compared to adult population, lessening adolescent health inequality could be a helpful way of mitigating health disparities in later stage. Considering life stage of adolescents, school system and local communities could play important roles toward adolescent health distribution. Although health disparity between regions existed, health disparity within a region should not be neglected.
