In this paper, fuzzy-neural network is proposed to identify the Activated Sludge Process(A.S.P) in sewage treatment such as "IF-THEN" type fuzzy rules and using various learning methods and improved complex method, the performance index of the identified model is improved. The proposed FNN has the neural network structure of which the connection weights have particular meanings for obtaining fuzzy inference rules and for tuning membership functions. And based on the identified model, graphic simulator which can analize nonlinear characteristics of A.S.P and generate control strategy for A.S.P is being developed.developed.

In this study design and construction technique for joint-less integral abutment for short to mid span bridges was developed. Expansion of superstructure due to thermal effect was absorbed in the flexible pile-type abutment in stead of expansion joint in the conventional bridges. Design method for pile subject to vertical and horizontal force was proposed. Backfill, approach slab and details of its connection joint with pavement was also proposed.

This paper deals with stand-alone Photovoltaic system(SPVS) with charger/discharge controller. Main power source of SPVS are generally solar cel and battery. Therefore SPVS can be classified into variable types in accordance with connection type between battery and solar cell. SPVS with charger/discharge controller which can operate solar cell a maximum power point is suggested and designed with instantaneous controller. And system operating characteristics are verified by experiment with a laboratory prototype in this paper.

This paper deals with the problem of predicting order statistics in samples from a Rayleigh population when an outlier is present. Bayesian predictive distribution and prediction bounds of the p-th order statistics is obtained where an outlier of type $\theta\delta$ is present. In this connection, some identies are derived.

This paper has been studied a interworking signalling protocol between two hybrid networks by analyzing Satellite B-ISDN architecture, DSS2 Layer 3 Signalling protocol, B-ISUP protocol, S-BISUP protocol stack and so on. Also in the paper, messages and primitives have been defined for B-ISDN's Connection Type, Ownership and each protocol in order to connect point-to-multipoint. And then this paper has designed basic call procedures for OBP Satellite B-ISDN NNI interworking protocol, verified and implemented them.

A 15-year-old girl underwent successful surgical correction of double-outlet right ventricle [S.D.L.] subaortic ventricular septal defect, patent foramen ovale, and pulmonary hypoplasia with valvular stenosis. The operation consisted of an internal baffling connecting the left ventricle to the aorta through the ventricular septal defect. The pulmonary stenosis was corrected with the method of connection the right ventricle to the pulmonary artery bifurcation using the Hancock valve[18mm] contained conduit. This rare type of DORV seemed to be suitable for corrective surgery, and the patient`s condition is very good until present time (post operative 7 months).

We experienced one case of TAPVC patient who was 39 years old man with mild dyspnea on exertion and easy fatigability. He was the oldest patient among TAPVC which was reported in Korea. Preoperative echocardiogram, cardiac catheterization and angiogram revealed supracardiac type TAPVC drained through left innominate vein. An anastomosis between common pulmonary venous trunk and left atrium, pericardial patch closure of ASD and ligation of left vertical vein were performed with extracorporeal circulation. The postoperative course was uneventful and discharged with excellent general condition and has been well during 8 months follow-up.

Warranty cost usually involves complex factors paticularly when the product concerned consists of a great deal of parts. In spite of that it can be assessed by means of rather simple mathematical expression, it is possible to realistically appraise the sensitivity to any type of quality policy. This paper thus presents the mathematical concept related to the warranty cost and the general relationship showing that quality policy can be established in connection with the economic quality level.

UDN is expected to be a type of network capable of satisfying the requirements various 5G services, such as the peak data rate, connection density, and area traffic capacity. Technical challenges for 5G UDN, such as interference management, resource management, mobility management, load balancing, and energy efficiency are discussed. In addition, candidate technologies for solving these challenges, and their related standardization trends, are summarized in this article.
