  • 비디오 컨퍼런스는 시간적, 공간적으로 분산된 그룹의 의사소통 및 공동작업에 매우 유용하게 활용되고 있다. 이는 이동에 소요되는 시간 및 경제성에서 특히 강점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 SVTE(Shared Virtual Table Environment)를 기반으로 하여, 3D 비디오와 Virtual Reality 기술을 결합한 차세데 비디오 컨퍼런스 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 서로 공유된 공간내에서, 평면상의 2D 화면보다 더욱 사실감 있는 3D 영상을 제공하는 비디오 컨퍼런스 시스템의 구조를 보이고, 제안된 시스템에서 고려되어야 할 영상처리 기법을 설명한다.

An Algorithm for Stable Video Conference System (안정적인 화상회의 시스템을 위한 알고리즘)

  • In previous video conference system, when the number of participants in video conference increases by n, the bandwidth and memory of n2 is required. And also, it brings about increase in traffic and problem of a say during a conference in aspect of transmission of voice data. In this paper, we propose an algorithm of remote video conference using silence detection algerian to resolve the questions such as buffering method of video data in server and heavy traffic detection algorithm to the increase in participants. Video data buffering algorithm is not a method of broadcasting to other client in the server, but this algorithm uses two other methods; the buffering method of receiving compressed video data from clients and the indexing method for acquiring the video data of other participants in clients according to clients' bandwidth and network transmission speed. We apply a voice transmission algerian and a channel management algorithm to the remote video conference system. The method used in the voice transmission algorithm is a silence detection algorithm which does not send silent participants' voice data to the server. The channel management algorithm is a method allocating a say to the participants who have priority. In consideration of average 20 frames and 30ms regardless of a number of participants, we can safely conclude that the transmission of video and voice data is stable.

  • m-to-m 그룹 통신망의 보안은 기본의 m-to-1통신에서는 고려되지 않았던 보안 문제가 발생한다. 이중에서도 통신데이터정보의 비밀을 보장하기 위한 암호화에 사용되어지는 키교환을 어떻게 할 것 인가에 대하여 해결해야 한다. m-to-m 통신상의데이터 암호화는 통신에 참여하는 모든 멤버가 동일한 키를 가져야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Diffie-Hellman 알고리즘을 이용한 그룹상의 키교환 방식을 살펴본 후 효율성면에서 개선한 그룹키교환 방식을 제안한다.

  • This paper presents a successful stand-alone pico-hydro generation system using a high-efficiency interior permanent-magnet (IPM) synchronous generator. A 1-kW 4-pole V-type IPM generator with low voltage regulation is used for laboratory test in stand-alone hydro energy conversion system. It has been found from experimental results that the constant output voltage is supplied stably by the proposed system under wide speed range.

  • In this paper, we propose a region-based segmentation algorithm to extract human face area using a window function and neural networks. Furthermore, we apply the erosion and dilation to remove small error areas. By applying the window function, it is possible to reduce error. In particular, false segmentation of the eye and the lip can be considerably reduced. Experiments show promising results and it is expected that the Proposed method can be applied to video conference and still image compression.

  • The modem multimedia applications which are video Processor, video conference or video phone and so forth require real time processing. Because of a large amount of image data, those require high compression performance. In this paper, the proposed image processing encoder was designed by using wavelet transform encoding. The proposed filter block can process image data on tile high speed because of composing individual function blocks by parallel and compute both highpass and lowpass coefficient in the same clock cycle. When image data is decomposed into multiresolution, the proposed scheme needs external memory and controller to save intermediate results and it can operate within 33㎒.
