Electrochromic (EC) devices are capable of reversibly changing their optical properties upon charge injection and extraction induced by the external voltage. The characteristics of the EC device, such as low power consumption, high coloration efficiency, and memory effects under open circuit status, make them suitable for use in a variety of applications including smart windows and electronic papers. Coloration due to reduction or oxidation of redox chromophores can be used for EC devices (e-paper), but the switching time is slow (second level). Recently, with increasing demand for the low cost, lightweight flat panel display with paper-like readability (electronic paper), an EC display technology based on dye-modified $TiO_2$ nanoparticle electrode was developed. A well known organic dye molecule, viologen, was adsorbed on the surface of a mesoporous $TiO_2$ nanoparticle film to form the EC electrode. On the other hand, ZnO is a wide bandgap II-VI semiconductor which has been applied in many fields such as UV lasers, field effect transistors and transparent conductors. The bandgap of the bulk ZnO is about 3.37 eV, which is close to that of the $TiO_2$ (3.4 eV). As a traditional transparent conductor, ZnO has excellent electron transport properties, even in ZnO nanoparticle films. In the past few years, one-dimension (1D) nanostructures of ZnO have attracted extensive research interest. In particular, 1D ZnO nanowires renders much better electron transportation capability by providing a direct conduction path for electron transport and greatly reducing the number of grain boundaries. These unique advantages make ZnO nanowires a promising matrix electrode for EC dye molecule loading. ZnO nanowires grow vertically from the substrate and form a dense array (Fig. 1). The ZnO nanowires show regular hexagonal cross section and the average diameter of the ZnO nanowires is about 100 nm. The cross-section image of the ZnO nanowires array (Fig. 1) indicates that the length of the ZnO nanowires is about $6\;{\mu}m$. From one on/off cycle of the ZnO EC cell (Fig. 2). We can see that, the switching time of a ZnO nanowire electrode EC cell with an active area of $1\;{\times}\;1\;cm^2$ is 170 ms and 142 ms for coloration and bleaching, respectively. The coloration and bleaching time is faster compared to the $TiO_2$ mesoporous EC devices with both coloration and bleaching time of about 250 ms for a device with an active area of $2.5\;cm^2$. With further optimization, it is possible that the response time can reach ten(s) of millisecond, i.e. capable of displaying video. Fig. 3 shows a prototype with two different transmittance states. It can be seen that good contrast was obtained. The retention was at least a few hours for these prototypes. Being an oxide, ZnO is oxidation resistant, i.e. it is more durable for field emission cathode. ZnO nanotetropods were also applied to realize the first prototype triode field emission device, making use of scattered surface-conduction electrons for field emission (Fig. 4). The device has a high efficiency (field emitted electron to total electron ratio) of about 60%. With this high efficiency, we were able to fabricate some prototype displays (Fig. 5 showing some alphanumerical symbols). ZnO tetrapods have four legs, which guarantees that there is one leg always pointing upward, even using screen printing method to fabricate the cathode.
The potential candidates for IT-SOFCs cathode materials, $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}Co_{0.8}Fe_{0.2}O_{3-{\delta}}$ (BSCF) and $La_{0.6}Ba_{0.4}Co_{0.2}Fe_{0.8}O_{3-{\delta}}$ (LBCF) powders, were synthesized by a EDTA-citrate combined method from $Sr(NO_3)_2$, $Ba(NO_3)_2$, $La(NO_3)_3{\cdot}6H_2O$, $Co(NO_3)_2{\cdot}6H_2O$, $Fe(NO_3)_3{\cdot}9H_2O$, citric acid and $EDTA-NH_3$. The cathode performance of symmetrical electrochemical cells consisting of BSCF-GDC or LBCF-GDC composite electrodes and a GDC electrolyte was investigated using by AC impedance spectroscopy at the temperature range of 500 to $700^{\circ}C$. It was found that a single phase perovskite could be successfully synthesized when the precursor is heated at $850^{\circ}C$ for 2 h. Due to thermal expansion mismatch between BSCF and GDC, the composite cathodes with lower GDC content than 45 wt% were peeled off from the GDC electrolyte and their electrode polarization resistance was estimated to be high. The thermal expansion coefficient of BSCF-GDC composites was decreased with increasing the GDC content and the electrode peeling off did not occur in BSCF-45 and 55 wt% GDC composites. BSCF-45 wt% GDC composite electrode showed the lowest area specific resistances (ASR) of 0.15 and $0.04{\Omega}{\cdot}cm^2$ at 600 and $700^{\circ}C$, respectively. On the other hand, LBCF-GDC composite cathodes showed higher ASR than the BSCF-45 and 55 wt% GDC and their cathode performance were decreased with the GDC content.
Polymer electrolytes consisted of $BF_3LiMA$ and 300 (PEGMA300) or 1100 (PEGMA1100) g $mol^{-1}$ of PEGMA were prepared and the electrochemical properties were characterized. Interestingly, the AC-impedance measurement shows $1.22{\times}10^{-5}S\;cm^{-1}$ of room temperature ionic conductivity from PEGMA1100 based solid polymer electrolytes while $8.54{\times}10^{-7}S\;cm^{-1}$ was observed in PEGMA300 based liquid polymer electrolytes. The more suitable coordination between lithium ion and ethylene oxide (EO) unit might be the reason of higher ionic conductivity which can be possible in PEGMA1100 based electrolytes since it has 23 EO units in monomer. The lithium ion transference number was found to be 0.6 due to the side reactions between $BF_3$ and lithium metal expecially for longer time but 0.9 was observed within 3000 seconds of measuring time which is strong evidence of a single-ion conductor.

This paper describes the development of lithium rechargeable cell. $LiCoO_2$ is recently recognized as a suitable cathode active material of a high voltage, high energy lithium rechargeable batteries because $Li^+$ ion can be electrochemically deintercalated/intercalated from/to $Li_xCoO_2$. The transition metal oxide of $LiCoO_2$ was investigated for using as a cathode active material of 4V class Li rechargeable cell. $LiCoO_2$ cathode was prepared by using a active material of 85 wt%, graphite powder of 12 wt% as a conductor and poly-vinylidene fluoride of 3 wt% as a binder. The electrochemical and charge/discharge properties of $LiCoO_2$ were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge. The open circuit voltage of prepared $LiCoO_2$ electrode exhibited approximately. potential range between 3.32V and 3.42V. During the galvanostatic charge/discharge, $LiCoO_2/Li$ cell showed stable cycling behavior at scan rate of 1mV/sec and potential range between 3.6V and 4.2V. Also its coulombic efficiency as function of cycling was 81%~102%. In this study the $LiCoO_2/Li$ cell showed the available discharge capacity of 90.1 mAh/g at current density of $1mA/cm^2$ and cell discharge voltage range between 3.6V~4.2V.

As the occupancy rate of the flash memory increases in the storage media market for the embedded system and the semi-conductor industry grows, the demand and supply of flash memory is increasing by a big margin. They are especially used in large quantity in the smart phones, tablets, PC, SSD and Soc(System on Chip) etc. The flash memory is divided into the NOR type and NAND type according to the cell arrangement structure and the NAND type is divided into the SLC(Single Level Cell) and MLC(Multi Level Cell) according to the number of bits that can be stored in each cell. Many tests have been performed on NOR type such as BIST(Bulit-In Self Test) and BIRA(Bulit-In Redundancy Analysis) etc, but there is little study on the NAND type. For the case of the existing BIST, the test can be proceeded using external equipments like ATE of high price. However, this paper is an attempt for the improvement of credibility and harvest rate of the system by proposing the BIST for the MLC NAND type flash memory of Finite State Machine structure on which the pattern test can be performed without external equipment since the necessary patterns are embedded in the interior and which uses the MLC NAND March(x) algorithm and pattern which had been proposed for the MLC NAND type flash memory.

[ $PSCF3737(Pr_{0.3}Sr_{0.7}Co_{0.3}Fe_{0.7}O_3)$ ] is a good candidate cathode material for IT-SOFC(intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell) because of high MIEC(mixed ionic electronic conductor) conductivity. In this study, the characteristics of PSCF3737 was investigated and optimizations of sintering temperature and thickness for $PSCF3737(Pr_{0.3}Sr_{0.7}Co_{0.3}Fe_{0.7}O_3)$ was carried out. Impedance responses were divided into two parts by frequency region. Middle frequency part (${\sim}10^2\;Hz$) was concerned with oxygen reduction reaction on surface and low frequency part (${\sim}10^{-1}\;Hz$) was related with oxygen diffusion. The reasonable sintering temperature and thickness of cathode were $1200^{\circ}C$ and about $27\;{\mu}m$ with regard to EIS(electrochemical impedance spectroscopy). ASR(areas specific resistance) of optimized cathode is $0.115\;{\Omega}\;cm^2$ at $700^{\circ}C$.

In this paper, we introduce the contactless power transmission device for transmitting the power with the resonant characteristic of the cavity resonator. When transmitting the power, the contactless power transmission device begins to work in the condition where the transceiver adheres closely. The transceiver is electrically separated because there is no conductive terminal outside and the size of the receiver required for the electric power transmission can be minimized. The cavity resonator comprises slots for the input port and output port in the upper side conductor plate of the cavity and forms the input port and output port using the stripline structure at this upper part. The some of output port is separated from it and the electric power receiver is formed thus the union can be possible. The rest except electric power receiver become the electric power transmitter, which includes the input port of stripline-slot coupling, cavity, and the slot of the output port. If the transmitter and the receiver are combined, they become the form in which the electricity is transferred from the input port to the output port in a cavity resonator. The center frequency of the contactless power transmitter manufactured is 5.782 GHz. and $S_{21}$ is measured as -1.07 dB. It is confirmed that the high electric power transfer rate is approximately 78 %.
The electrical conductivity of the Niobium Oxide-Lead Oxide systems containing 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, and 10.0 mol% of Lead Oxide has been measured in a temperature range 700${\sim}$$1100^{\circ}C$ under oxygen partial pressure of 2.0 ${\times}$$10^{-1}$${\sim}$1.0 ${\times}$$10^{-5}$ atm. The electrical conductivities of the system decreased with increasing PbO mol% and varied from $10^{-5}$ to $10^{-1}$$ohm^{-1}$$cm^{-1}$. The activation energy for conductivity was about 1.70 eV. The oxygen pressure dependence of electrical conductivity revealed that the system was a mixed conductor between ionic and electronic conductivities at high oxygen pressures and a n-type electronic conductivity with oxygen pressure dependence of -1/4 order at low oxygen pressures. The defect structure and electrical conduction mechanism of the system have been discussed with the data obtained.

In this paper, the front end module (FEM) was proposed for 2.4GHz WLAN band by LTCC multilayer application. The FEM was composed of power amplifier IC, switch IC, and LTCC module. LTCC module consists of output matching circuit and lowpass filter as Tx part, bandpass filter as Rx part. Design of output matching circuit for LTCC was used matching parameter from output matching circuit based on lumped circuit on the PCB board. The dielectric constant of LTCC substrate is 9. The substrate was composed of total 26 layers with each 30um thickness. Ag paste was used for the internal pattern as the conductor material. The size of the module is $4.5mm{\times}3.2mm{\times}1.4mm$. The fabricated FEM showed the gain of 21dB, ACPR of less than -31dBc first side lobe and Less than -59dBc second side lobe and the output power of 23Bm at P1dB.

The only method used in the power stations in order to deliver generated electric power is 6 kV XLPE (or CV) single core cables. Among many kinds of accidents happening in the power stations, the outbreak of fire due to the deterioration of live cables causes enormous socioeconomic losses. From the installation of the cables, the management and diagnose should be thoroughly made. Even though it differs depending on the installations and usage conditions, the cross-sectional area of cables is in shortage. The excessive allowable temperature caused from the current causes the deterioration of cables. In order to prevent an unexpected breakdown of live cables, we have invented a device to monitor and diagnose the status of cables. We have installed our device in the Korea Western Power Co., Ltd.. In this paper, we present our research results in situ that we have obtained by measuring the temperature of sheath, changing with the surrounding circumstances, especially ambient temperatures. We also show our study results of characteristics for temperature of sheath surface and load current at the ambient temperatures of $40^{\circ}C-10^{\circ}C$.
