적외선 열화상기법을 이용한 콘크리트 터널 라이닝의 비파괴 시험에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Non-Destructive Test of Concrete Tunnel Lining Using Infrared Thermography Technique)

  • The interest of diagnosis and maintenance of construction is increasing due to the collapse of infastructures. To obtain the complete, reliable and reproducible data ont he state of the entire structure, various non-destructive techniques are available, Especially, specific constructional characteristics of tunnels make the application of non-destructive tests more difficult. Despite of the complications of these conditions, non-destructive techniques should be capable of providing a description of the state of the tunnel lining, without the removal of the tunnel installations. In this paper, the infrared thermography technique using the difference of surface temperature was studied. The optimum equipment was selected and introduced, the principle, testing method and data anlaysis were investigated. Also, through the case study for inspection of concrete tunnel lining, this technique has proven to be a valuable non-destructive test for detecting the defects such as crack, leakage of water and exfoliation of concrete. The applicability and usefulness of this technique for estimation of concrete tunnel lining have been conformed.

  • Recently, the construction of road, subway, railroad, and microtunnel for electricity supplement have been increased because of increasement of traffic in urban area, increasement of industrial transportation, and the network between cities in Korea. The deterioration of tunnel structure may occur by various internal and external factors and particularly, tunnel structures tend to contact with either underground water or harmful ions. Therefore, leakage sometimes occurred through the cracks and joints of concrete lining. The leakage in tunnel may affect the durability of concrete lining. In this study, to evaluate the durability and deterioration of concrete lining in tunnel structures, we were performed the various experiments for compressive strength. Compressive strength obtained from nondestructive inspection and compressive strength test varies according to the concrete lining conditions.

  • 유지관리 계측은 터널 구조물의 지속적인 안전성 확인과 최적의 유지관리가 되도록 객관적이고 연속적인 자료제공을 목적으로 한다. 최근 들어 각종 터널에 적용하는 사례가 급속하게 증가되고 있으나, 현재까지 터널에서 장기간 측정된 계측실적도 적고, 합리적인 분석방법 연구도 전무한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 장기간 계측이 수행된 지하철 풍화대 통과 터널의 계측결과를 회귀분석하여 터널의 최종 지보재인 콘크리트 라이닝의 응력과 철근응력의 상관관계를 파악하였다. 또한, 터널 콘크리트 라이닝의 응력과 안전성의 분석을 통하여 유지관리 계측 빈도 및 관리 기준치의 현장 적용성을 검토하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the various characteristics of the 53-years old railway tunnel linning concrete. The nondestructive technique such as the surface hardness method and the ultrasonic method, the extent of carbonation by the phenolphthalein indicator, and the chemical analysis due to XRD/XRF are considered Also the concrete core was cut in two pieces per tunnel for the exact evaluation of strength. On the basis of the experimental result, it is concluded that the durability and the serviceability of old tunnel linning concrete are affected by the initial mixing condition and the environmental effect.

  • 터널라이닝에 대한 필요성 여부에 대한 논란은 지속적으로 되고 있으나, 대부분의 터널기술자들은 라이닝의 필요성에 대하여 동의하고 있다. 따라서 설계 및 시공상의 라이닝 특성을 고려한 콘크리트 라이닝 품질향상방안 수립을 위하여 근본적인 문제점을 파악하고 해결하는데 도움이 되고자한다. 본 논문에서는 균열발생량이 상대적으로 많은 대단면 4차로 터널을 대상으로 하여 콘크리트라이닝 시공에서부터 터널운용전 발생되는 초기균열에 대한 발생원인 분석을 실시하고, 국내 콘크리트 라이닝 시공특성을 파악하기 위한 사례조사를 실시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 하여 균열발생 최소화를 위한 시공개선방안을 제안하고, 개선방안에 대한 라이닝 콘크리트 타설모형실험 및 강재거푸집내 콘크리트의 유동분석을 수행하여 고품질 콘크리트 라이닝시공을 위한 제안방안의 효율성을 검증하였다.

Numerical modelling of internal blast loading on a rock tunnel

  • Tunnels have been an integral part of human civilization. Due to complexity in its design and structure, the stability of underground structures under extreme loading conditions has utmost importance. Increased terrorism and geo-political conflicts have forced the engineers and researchers to study the response of underground structures, especially tunnels under blast loading. The present study has been carried out to seek the response of tunnel structures under blast load using the finite element technique. The tunnel has been considered in quartzite rock of northern India. The Mohr-Coulomb constitutive model has been adopted for the elastoplastic behaviour of rock. The rock model surrounding the tunnel has dimensions of 30 m x 30 m x 35 m. Both unlined and lined (concrete) tunnel has been studied. Concrete Damage Plasticity model has been considered for the concrete lining. Four different parameters (i.e., tunnel diameter, liners thickness, overburden depth and mass of explosive) have been varied to observe the behaviour under different condition. To carry out blast analysis, Coupled-Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL) modelling has been adopted for modelling of TNT (Trinitrotoluene) and enclosed air. JWL (Jones-Wilkins-Lee) model has been considered for TNT explosive modelling. The paper concludes that deformations in lined tunnels follow a logarithmic pattern while in unlined tunnels an exponential pattern has been observed. The stability of the tunnel has increased with an increase in overburden depth in both lined and unlined tunnels. Furthermore, the tunnel lining thickness also has a significant effect on the stability of the tunnel, but in smaller diameter tunnel, the increase in tunnel lining thickness has not much significance. The deformations in the rock tunnel have been decreased with an increase in the diameter of the tunnel.

터널 폼 공법에서 강제양생이 콘크리트강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of a Heated Curing on Concrete Compressive Strength for Tunnel Form Construction)

  • The Tunnel Form(T/F) system instead of traditional euro form has been tried to reduce construction duration and to improve concrete quality in reinforced concrete wall type apartment construction. To find the relationship for concrete compressive strength between cylinder mold and slab, the different curing locations of concrete cylinder mold in the room have been investigated. The test results showed that the compressive strength of the cylinder concrete with middle-upper location in the room was most near concrete compression strength with respect to slab concrete strength.

콘크리트 궤도 터널 내 KTX 차량의 실내소음 특성 분석 (Analysis of Interior Noise for KTX in Tunnel with Concrete Track)

  • The interior noise of KTX in tunnel is becoming the problem since the commercial operating in April 2004. The major sources of interior noise for High speed train ate known as the aerodynamic noise and rolling noise generally. We measure the noise and vibration inside KTX in tunnel in order to find the cause of the interior noise of KTX. The analysis results show that the interior noise of KTX in tunnel with concrete track is increased sharply by a low frequency below 80Hz that is the natural frequency of the KTX carbody. We know that the booming noise inside KTX in tunnel with concrete track is generated by aerodynamic noise outside ganqway and rolling noise at the carbody natural frequency.

  • Field measurements were carried out in this study to investigate the behavior of cut and cover tunnel such as the distribution and the magnitude of the earth pressure during back fill process of the ground material. Three kinds of measuring instruments, such as the earth pressure load cell, the concrete strain gauge and the reinforcing bar meter of embedded type in concrete structure were installed and measured. Earth pressure load cells, installed after construction of the tunnel lining, measure the outside forces acting on the tunnel lining with radial directions. Three load cells were installed at the crown, the right and the left shoulder of the tunnel, respectively. Three sets of reinforcing bar meter were installed in the double reinforcements of the tunnel lining and their locations were the same with the position of the earth pressure load cells. Concrete strain gauge was installed only one site of the upper compressive part at the tunnel crown. Based on the measuring results in the field, the deformation and the earth pressure acting on the tunnel lining were investigated with the back fill process of the ground material. Considerations on the validity of the measuring results were paid. For the analysis of measurements, after dividing back fill process into three steps, various factors which affect on the behavior of tunnel lining were investigated at each step.

터널라이닝 구조재로서 SFRC 적용에 관한 연구 (Application of SFRC as a lining material in tunnels)

  • 산지가 70%를 차지하고 있는 우리나라 지형특성상 고속도로 건설에 비례하여 터널연장의 증가는 필연적이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 터널 내,외부의 온도차이에 의한 균열에 저항할 수 있도록 하기위해 터널 입,출구부에 설치되는 철근콘크리트 라이닝의 시공성 및 안전성,경제성을 확보할 수 있는 방안으로 강섬유보강 콘크리트(Steel Fiber Reinforcement Concrete, SFRC)의 적용성에 대해 연구하였다. SFRC의 특징을 조사하고 터널 갱구부 라이닝 구조부재로서 구조해석과 현장 시험시공을 통해 SFRC의 적용방안과 차후 확대 적용을 위한 개선방안을 제시하였다.
