We propose a new photorefractive demultiplexer(DMUX) for WDM communicaytion system using a wavelength selectivity and demultiplexing properties of a volume holographic grating filters formed in $LinbO_3$ crystal doped with 0.015wt.% Fe. The wavelength selectivity properties of the filter are analyzed and experimentally investigated as a function of the following parameters : the crossing angle of the two writing beams, the reading-beam angle and writing-beam size. In addition, applying these wavelength selectivity properties and the multiplexing technique for recording multiple-exposure filters with equal diffraction efficiency, some preliminary experimental results are presented for use as DMUX.

Style is considered a pivotal construct in sociolinguistic variation studies. While previous studies have examined style in traditional forms of language such as speech, very little research has examined new and emerging styles such as computer-mediated discourse. Thus, the present study attempts to investigate style in the online communication mode of chat. In so doing, the study compares text-based online chat with speech and writing. Online chat has been previously described as a hybrid form of language that is close to speech. Here, the exact nature of online chat is elucidated by focusing on contraction use. Differential acquisition of stylistic variation is also examined according to English learning background. The empirical component consists of data from Korean speakers of English. Data is taken from a written summary, an oral interview, and a text-based online chat session. A multivariate analysis was conducted. Results indicate that online chat is indeed a hybrid form that is difficult to delineate from speech and writing. Text-based online chat shows a somewhat similar rate of contraction to speech, which confirms its hybridity.. Lastly, some implications of the study are given in terms of the learning and acquisition of style in general and in online contextual modes.

Since 2001, we have taught computer in elementary school to become the advanced country of IT in the 21C. However, people criticized that ICT education which is consisted mainly of the computer skills is not appropriate for information literacy education. In 2005, "ICT Education Guide Rev." is published. Thereafter, information literacy education has systematic frame. The experts emphasize the importance of performance assessment. Computer education can become the problem solving education if the performance assessment carried out. However, it is not successful without the good rubrics for performance assessment In this paper, we developed the rubrics for performance assessment for "presentation document writing".

정보화시대에 요구하는 인재는 문제를 인식하고 이런 문제를 풀기 위해 다양한 전문가들과 함께 창의적인 사고를 통해 해결책을 제시하는 인물이다. 정보영재교육의 목표 역시 창의적 인재를 기르는 데 있으나, 프로그래밍과 알고리즘 교육은 특정 프로그래밍 언어의 사용법이나 문법 위주의 교육, 정렬 및 탐색과 같은 알고리즘 그 자체에 치중함으로서 이러한 목표에 도달하고 있지 못하다는 지적이 많다. 이에 본 논문에서는 창의적인 알고리즘을 설계하고 개발하는데 필요한 사고력, 즉 사고 과정에 대해 안내하고 생각하는 알고리즘적 사고력을 기르기 위한 방안으로 실생활 주제의 이야기 쓰기를 활용하는 교수 학습 프로그램을 제안하였다. 반성적 사고와 창의성을 기르는 데 효과적인 것으로 알려진 이야기 쓰기 활동에서 출발하여 사건 요소 추출과 시간적 질서 분석하기, 순서도로 알고리즘 표현하기, 동료 학습자와 토의하기 등의 과정을 통해 알고리즘적 사고력을 향상시킬 수 있도록 하였다.

The development and use of computer mediated communications (CMC) as a tool for teaching and learning English has grown considerably in recent years. The purpose of this study is to investigate factors related to learners' participation, achievement, and satisfaction in EFL classes using web-based bulletin boards. The total number of 77 university students participated in this study. Three domains and eight independent variables investigated in this study were a learner-related domain (attitudes toward CMC, intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, attitudes toward writing), an interaction-related domain (student-student interaction, teacher-student interaction), and an environmental domain (physical support and design of the web site). In order to determine interrelation of variables correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used. The results of this study showed that the factors predicting a learner's participation were instrumental motivation, attitudes toward writing, and teacher-student interaction. The factors explaining a learner's achievement were learner's participation and attitudes toward writing, and the factors predicting a learner's satisfaction were integrative motivation, student-student interaction, teacher-student interaction, physical support and learner's participation.

The purpose of this paper is to give much interests and motivation to students, and besides, is in order to enhance the efficient, systematic writing guidance through to use varied information and materials, and furthermore to consider the method of writing guidance to make use of the Web.

Purpose: This study aims to make it easier for anyone to write an autobiography by utilizing AI technology, allowing individuals to reflect on their lives and reaffirm their identity, ultimately enhancing their self-esteem. Through this research, the necessity of promoting mental health for the elderly is emphasized, and it seeks to provide foundational data contributing to new approaches for improving quality of life. Methods: Basic data for program development were collected in April 2024. Subsequently, the AI beta version was used to identify issues, which were then addressed and improved upon. Results: The results of this study are as follows: First, it was confirmed that structuring the autobiography writing program and providing clear guidelines are essential. Second, the importance of the role of conversation companions and the need for their prior training were emphasized. Third, ensuring the accessibility and ease of participation in the program was shown to enhance participant engagement. Fourth, further empirical research is necessary to verify the effectiveness of the program. Conclusion: This study confirmed that an autobiography writing model utilizing an AI-based platform can contribute to improving older adults' mental health. Older adults who struggle to use digital devices can become more comfortable with them through this program. Additionally, autobiographical writing activities that involve reflecting on their lives and narrating their stories according to various themes provide older adults with the opportunity to achieve a sense of self-integration. Finally, if this program is disseminated in a manner that suits the characteristics of older adults, it can play a significant role in improving their mental health.

This paper describes an attempt to integrate flip teaching into a language classroom by adopting wikispaces as an online learning platform. The purpose of this study is to examine student perceptions of the effectiveness of using video lectures and wikispaces to foster active participation and collaborative learning. Flipped learning was implemented in an English writing class over one semester. Participants were 27 low intermediate level Korean university students. Data collection methods included background questionnaires at the beginning of the semester, learning experience questionnaires at the end of the semester, and semi-structured interviews with 6 focal participants. Because of the significance of video lectures in flip teaching, oCam was used for making weekly online lectures as a way of pre-class activities. Every week, online lectures were posted on the school LMS system (moodle). Every week, participants met in a computer room to perform in-class activities. Both in-class activities and post-class activities were managed by wikispaces. The results indicate that the flipped classroom facilitated student learning in the writing class. More than 53% of the respondents felt that it was useful to develop writing skills in a flipped classroom. Particularly, students felt that the video lectures prior to the class helped them improve their grammar skills. However, with respect to their satisfaction with collaborative works, about 44% of the participants responded positively. Similarly, 44% of the participants felt that in-class group work helped them interact with the other group members. Considering these results, this paper concludes with pedagogical suggestions and implications for further research.

In this paper, we propose a block mapping technique applicable to NAND flash memory. In order to use the NAND flash memory with the operating system and the file system developed on the basis of the hard disk which is mainly used in the general PC field, it is necessary to use the system software known as the FTL (Flash Translation Layer). FTL overcomes the disadvantage of not being able to overwrite data by using the address mapping table and solves the additional features caused by the physical structure of NAND flash memory. In this paper, we propose a new mapping method based on the block mapping method for efficient use of the NAND flash memory. In the case of the proposed technique, the data modification operation is processed by using a blank page in the existing block without using an additional block for the data modification operation, thereby minimizing the block unit deletion operation in the merging operation. Also, the frequency of occurrence of the sequential write request and random write request Accordingly, by optimally adjusting the ratio of pages for recording data in a block and pages for recording data requested for modification, it is possible to optimize sequential writing and random writing by maximizing the utilization of pages in a block.

본 논문은 유아 및 저학년 초등학생의 쓰기 학습을 위한 쓰기 학습용 애플리케이션을 설계하였다. 유아들은 어린 나이에 수동적인 글쓰기를 시작하고 전통적으로 사용된 '정사각형 글씨 교본'의 정형화된 연습으로 학습에 흥미를 잃는다. 쓰기 학습용 애플리케이션은 전통적 글씨 연습의 틀에서 벗어나, 게임 형태의 콘텐츠로 재미를 유지하도록 메인화면, 메뉴, 실행 화면 등의 내용을 기술하였고 설계하였다. 그리고 유아들은 수동적인 글쓰기로 인해 올바르지 못한 쓰기 자세를 형성한다. 이는 어린 아이들의 손에 무리가 가게 된다. 학생용 애플리케이션과 함께 설계한 홀더는 손에 힘이 없는 아이들이 쉽고 편안하게 필기구를 잡는 습관을 기르기 위한 것으로 지렛대 메커니즘을 응용하였다. 다양한 손의 크기에 대응하여 조절할 수 있도록 중지 받침대 조절 기능으로 다양한 연령대가 사용할 수 있다. 학습용 게임 애플리케이션의 재미와 홀더의 효과 등의 내용을 기술하였고 모바일에서 또 다른 아이들의 쓰기 방법을 제안한다.
