  • Influential trend that widely reflected the software engineering industry is service oriented architecture. Vendors are migrating towards cloud environment to benefit their organization. Companies usually offer products and services with a goal to solve problems at customer end. Because customers are more interested in solution of their problem rather than focusing on products or services. In software industry the approach in which customers' problems are solved by providing services is known as software as a service. However, software development life cycle encounters enormous changes when migrating software from product model to service model. Enough research has been done on the overall development process but a limited work has been done on the factors that influence requirements elicitation process. This paper focuses on those changes that influence requirement elicitation process and proposes a systematic methodology for transformation of software from product to service model in a successful manner. The paper then elaborates the benefits that inherently come along with elicitation process in cloud environment. The paper also describes the problems during transformation. The paper concludes that requirement engineering process turn out to be more profitable after transformation of traditional software from product to service model.

  • In the conventional computing environment, users use only a small number of software systems intensively. So it had been enough to check and guarantee the functional correctness and safety of a small number of giant systems in order to protect the user systems and their information inside the systems from outside attacks. However, checking the correctness and safety of giant systems is not enough anymore, since users are using various software systems or web services provided by unskilled developers. To prove or guarantee the safety of software system, a lot of research has been conducted in diverse areas of computer science. We will discuss the on-going approaches for guaranteeing or verifying the safety of software systems in this paper. We also discuss the future research challenge which must be solved with better solutions in the near future.

  • Integration systems help users consume services more effectively. However, previous integration systems can only enable predefined service cooperation to satisfy users, which is difficult to achieve user-centric service composition in dynamic environments. Therefore, in this paper, a dynamic service integration system is proposed to automatically combine services based on usage history. With this system, services can be dynamically composed to meet users' needs and information can be flexibly transited among heterogeneous services.

  • Mobile cloud computing (MCC) has revolutionized the way in which the services can be obtained from the cloud service providers. Manifold increase in the number of mobile devices and subscribers in MCC has further enhanced the need of an efficient and robust authentication solution. Earlier, the subscribers could get cloud-computing services from the cloud service providers only after having consulted the trusted third party. Recently, Tsai and Lo has proposed a multi-server authenticated key agreement solution for MCC based on bilinear pairing, to eliminate the trusted third party for mutual authentication. The scheme has been novel as far as the minimization of trusted party involvement in authenticating the user and service provider, is concerned. However, the Tsai and Lo scheme has been found vulnerable to server spoofing attack (misrepresentation attack), de-synchronization attack and denial-of-service attack, which renders the scheme unsuitable for practical deployment in different wireless mobile access networks. Therefore, we have proposed an improved model based on bilinear pairing, countering the identified threats posed to Tsai and Lo scheme. Besides, the proposed work also demonstrates performance evaluation and formal security analysis.

  • As robotic technology expands into various fields, robots need to execute some complicated tasks in diverse environments. However, the previous robotic software solutions were limited to independent systems. We can not adapt to diverse functionalities and environments. This makes it hard to provide rapid and effective services and leads to costs and losses in the development process. To overcome these problems, we propose a robot software framework with behavior trees based on ROS2. This framework simplifies complex robot behaviors through behavior trees and makes it easy to modify, extend, and reuse robot behaviors. Furthermore, ROS2 standardizes connections between software modules, enhances the robot's flexibility, and enables independent development and testing of software. Our framework aims to provide a foundation for high-quality robot service provision by supporting the modularity, reusability, independent development, and testing required by intelligent robots that need to provide services in various environments.

  • Internet of Things (IoT) technology, which provides services by connecting various objects in the real world and objects in the virtual world based on the Internet, is emerging as a technology that enables a hyper-connected society in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Since IoT technology is a convergence technology that encompasses devices, networks, platforms, and services, various studies are being conducted. Among these studies, studies on measures that can measure service quality provided by IoT software are still insufficient. IoT software has hardware parts of the Internet of Things, technologies based on them, features of embedded software, and network features. These features are used as elements defining IoT software quality measurement metrics. However, these features are considered in the metrics related to IoT software quality measurement so far. Therefore, this paper presents a metric for reusability measurement among various quality factors of IoT software in consideration of these factors. In particular, since IoT software is used through IoT devices, services in IoT software must be designed to be changed, replaced, or expanded, and metrics that can measure this are very necessary. In this paper, we propose three metrics: changeability, replaceability, and scalability that can measure and evaluate the reusability of IoT software services were presented, and the metrics presented through case studies were verified. It is expected that the service quality verification of IoT software will be carried out through the metrics presented in this paper, thereby contributing to the improvement of users' service satisfaction.

  • As the requirement on the quality of the system has increased, the reliability is very important part in terms of enhance stability and to provide high quality services to customers. Many statistical models have been developed in the past years for the estimation of software reliability. We consider the functions for NHPP software reliability model and time series model in software failure data. We estimate parameters for the proposed models from three data sets. The values of SSE and MSE is presented from three data sets. We compare the predicted number of faults with the actual three data sets using the NHPP software reliability model and time series model.

  • In ubiquitous environments, invisible devices and software are connected to one another to provide convenient services to users. In order to provide such services, we must have mobile devices that connect users and services. However, the types of available services have thus far been limited due to the limited resources of mobile devices. This paper proposes a solution to the resource limitation problem of mobile devices by presenting a context-based collaboration system that allows mobile devices to share various nearby resources. Our system has a feature to enable personalized resource sharing by dynamically re-configuring user's preference and resource information.

  • Location based services based on positions of moving objects are expanding the business area gradually. The location is included all estimate position of the future as well as the position of the present and the past. Location based routing service is active business application in which the position information of moving objects is applied efficiently. This service includes the trajectory of past positions, the real-time tracing of present position of special moving objects, and the shortest and optimized paths combined with map information. In this paper, we describes the location based routing services is extend in distributed web GIS environment. Web GIS service systems provide the various GIS services of analyzing and displaying the spatial data with friendly user - interface. That is, we propose the efficient architecture and technologies for servicing the location based routing services in distributed web GIS environment. The position of moving objects is acquired by GPS (Global Positioning System) and converted the coordinate of real world by map matching with geometric information. We suppose the swapping method between main memory and storages to access the quite a number of moving objects. And, the result of location based routing services is wrapped the web-styled data format. We design the schema based on the GML. We design these services as components were developed in object-oriented computing environment, and provide the interoperability, language-independent, easy developing environment as well as re - usability.

  • Recently, smart devices for various services have been developed using converged telecommunications, and the markets for near field communication mobile services is expected to grow rapidly. In particular, the realization of mobile NFC payment services is expected to go commercial, and it is widely attracting attention both on a domestic and global level. However, this realization would increase privacy infringement, as personal information is extensively used in the NFC technology. One example of such privacy infringement would be the case of the Google wallet service. In this paper, we propose an zero-knowledge proof scheme and ring signature based on NTRU for protecting user information in NFC mobile payment systems without directly using private financial information of the user.
