  • Goodman([3]) presented the question of finding a best possible upper bound of the form $t(G)\;+\;t(G^c)$, where t(G) denote the number of triangles in given graph G. In this, the form of squares of degrees is appeared and many researches have been pursued as an application related to this. Here, we would like to deal with corollary related to the results of Nikiforov([6]).

  • The purpose of this paper is to obtain the commutativity of a gamma dominion for a commutative gamma semigroup by using Isbell zigzag theorem for gamma semigroup and we prove some gamma semigroup identities are preserved under epimorphism. Moreover, we extend epimorphism, dominion and Isbell zigzag theorem for partially ordered semigroup to partially ordered gamma semigroup.

  • In this article, we investigate the solution of the inverse problem for one dimensional heat equation with Neumann and Robin boundary conditions, that is, we determine the temperature and source term with given initial and boundary conditions. Three radial basis functions(RBFs) have been used for numerical solution, and Homotopy perturbation method for analytic solution. Numerical solutions which are obtained by considering each of the three RBFs are compared to the exact solution. For appropriate value of shape parameter c, numerical solutions best approximates exact solutions. Furthermore, we have shown the impact of noisy data on the numerical solution of u and f.

  • The purpose of this study was to find a future direction for improving computational estimation instruction through examining the contents of computational estimation included in the 2015 revised elementary school mathematics curriculum and elementary school mathematics textbook and teacher's guide. Through this, several suggestions was made as follow. Firs, it is necessary to emphasize the computational estimation across all grade groups. Second, it is necessary to teach the computational estimation strategies systematically. It was found that it is necessary to reinforce the activities related to computational estimation in the computation related units.

  • Motivated by the field experimental designs in agriculture, the theory of block designs has been applied to several areas such as statistics, combinatorics, communication networks, distributed systems, cryptography, etc. An explicit formula and its fast computational algorithm for a class of symmetric balanced incomplete block designs are presented. Based on the formula and the careful investigation of the modulus multiplication table, the algorithm is developed. The computational costs of the algorithm is superior to those of the conventional ones.

  • A simple and efficient numerical optimization approach for the lightweight optimal design of composite laminated beams is presented in this paper. The proposed procedure is a combination between the finite element method (FEM) and a global optimization algorithm developed recently, namely Jaya. In the present procedure, the advantages of FEM and Jaya are exploited, where FEM is used to analyze the behavior of beam, and Jaya is modified and applied to solve formed optimization problems. In the optimization problems, the objective aims to minimize the overall weight of beam; and fiber volume fractions, thicknesses and fiber orientation angles of layers are selected as design variables. The constraints include the restriction on the first fundamental frequency and the boundaries of design variables. Several numerical examples with different design scenarios are executed. The influence of the design variable types and the boundary conditions of beam on the optimal results is investigated. Moreover, the performance of Jaya is compared with that of the well-known methods, viz. differential evolution (DE), genetic algorithm (GA), and particle swarm optimization (PSO). The obtained results reveal that the proposed approach is efficient and provides better solutions than those acquired by the compared methods.
