  • In this paper we show that every left derivation on a semiprime Banach algebra A is a derivation which maps A into the intersection of the center of A and the jacobson radical of A and hence every left derivation on a semisimple Banach algebra is always zero.

  • Let A be a Banach algebra and B a semisimple annifilator Banach algebra. Then every homomorphism from A into B with range is continuous. Also we obtain condition s for the automatic continuity of homomorphism with dense range.

  • Nagata[3] and Higman[1] showed that nil-algebra of the nilindex n is nilpotent of finite index. In this paper we show that the bounded degree of the nilpotency is less than or equal to $2^n-1$. Our proof needs only some elementary fact about Vandermonde determinant, which is much simpler than Nagata's or Higman's proof.

  • In this paper, for any non-empty subsets A, I of a pseudo BCI-algebra X, we introduce the concept of pseudo p-closure of A with respect to I, denoted by ApcI, and investigate some related properties. Applying this concept, we state a necessary and sufficient condition for a pseudo BCI-algebra 1) to be a p-semisimple pseudo BCI-algebra; 2) to be a pseudo BCK-algebra. Moreover, we show that Apc{0} is the least positive pseudo ideal of X containing A, and characterize it by the union of some branches. We also show that the set of all pseudo ideals of X which ApcI = A, is a complete lattice. Finally, we prove that this notion can be used to define a closure operation.

  • Given operators X and Y on a Hilbert space H, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator A such that AX = Y. In this article, we investigate compact interpolation problems for vectors in a tridiagonal algebra. Let L be a subspace lattice acting on a separable complex Hilbert space H and Alg L be a tridiagonal algebra. Let X = $(x_{ij})\;and\;Y\;=\;(y_{ij})$ be operators acting on H. Then the following are equivalent: (1) There exists a compact operator A = $(x_{ij})$ in AlgL such that AX = Y. (2) There is a sequence {$\alpha_n$} in $\mathbb{C}$ such that {$\alpha_n$} converges to zero and $$y_1\;_j=\alpha_1x_1\;_j+\alpha_2x_2\;_j\;y_{2k}\;_j=\alpha_{4k-1}x_{2k\;j}\;y_{2k+1\;j}=\alpha_{4k}x_{2k\;j}+\alpha_{4k+1}x_{2k+1\;j}+\alpha_{4k+2}x_{2k+2\;j\;for\;all\;k\;\epsilon\;\mathbb{N}$$.

  • The purpose of this research is to find an extension of the renowned Chernoff theorem on standard operator algebra. Infact, we prove the following result: Let H be a real (or complex) Banach space and 𝓛(H) be the algebra of bounded linear operators on H. Let 𝓐(H) ⊂ 𝓛(H) be a standard operator algebra. Suppose that D : 𝓐(H) → 𝓛(H) is a linear mapping satisfying the relation D(AnBn) = D(An)Bn + AnD(Bn) for all A, B ∈ 𝓐(H). Then D is a linear derivation on 𝓐(H). In particular, D is continuous. We also present the limitations on such identity by an example.

  • A hereditary $C^{*}$-subalgebra B of a $C^{*}$-algebra A is said to be full if B is not contained in any proper closed two-sided ideal in A, so each hereditary $C^{*}$-subalgebra of a simple $C^{*}$-algebra is always full. It is well known that every $C^{*}$-algebra is strong Morita equivalent to its full hereditary $C^{*}$-subalgebra, but the strong Morita equivalence of a $C^{*}$-algebra A and its hereditary $C^{*}$-subalgebra B does not imply the fullness of B, ingeneral. We present the following lemma for our computational convenience in the course of the proof of the main theorem. Note that $L_{B}$, $L_{B}$$^{*}$ and $L_{B}$ $L_{B}$$^{*}$ are all .alpha.-invariant whenever B is .alpha.-invariant under the action .alpha. of G.a. of G.a. of G.a. of G.f G.

  • Given operators X and Y acting on a separable complex Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator A such that AX=Y. In this article, we show the following: Let $Alg\mathcal{L}$ be a tridiagonal algebra on a separable complex Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ and let $X=(x_{ij})\;and\;Y=(y_{ij})$ be operators in $\mathcal{H}$. Then the following are equivalent: (1) There exists a normal operator $A=(a_{ij})\;in\;Alg\mathcal{L}$ such that AX=Y. (2) There is a bounded sequence $\{\alpha_n\}\;in\;\mathbb{C}$ such that $y_{ij}=\alpha_jx_{ij}\;for\;i,\;j\;{\in}\;\mathbb{N}$. Given vectors x and y in a separable complex Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator A such that Ax=y. We show the following: Let $Alg\mathcal{L}$ be a tridiagonal algebra on a separable complex Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ and let $x=(x_i)\;and\;y=(y_i)$ be vectors in $\mathcal{H}$. Then the following are equivalent: (1) There exists a normal operator $A=(a_{ij})\;in\;Alg\mathcal{L}$ such that Ax=y. (2) There is a bounded sequence $\{\alpha_n\}$ in $\mathbb{C}$ such that $y_i=\alpha_ix_i\;for\;i{\in}\mathbb{N}$.

  • The intuitionistic fuzzification of a subalgebra in a BCK/BCI-algebra is considered, and related results are investigated. The notion of equivalence relations on the family of all intuitionistic fuzzy subalgebras of a BCK/BCI-algebra is introduced, and then some properties are discussed.
