A major factor in making current hospital gowns is how to manage patients from the standpoint of hospitals. This shows that hospital gowns have not been considered as an apparel for a specific purpose with a design that considers the psychological composure of patients. This study, along with a meticulous analysis of the pattern design of domestic hospital gown suggests a design philosophy that can be of emotional help to patients. The analysis of hospital gowns in terms of motif is that the corporate identity of the hospital in question, along with the lettering symbolizing the hospital is conspicuous. The motif shown in the pattern also has a brightness contrast and two-way pattern. This study suggests hospital gown patterns as follows. First, on the basis of color dynamics, utilize repetition arrangement, camaieu arrangement and faux camaieu arrangement. Second, make use of warm colors in order to enhance trust between patients and medical staff. Last, use green color as a dominant color for the hospital to be felt of as a convenient space. Utilizing these three factors in the future design of hospital gowns will assist in the development of new hospital gowns that render a psychological composure.

패션은 한 시대와 지역의 일상적이고 보편적인 미의식을 표현하는 문화 요소로서, 신발 역시 우리나라만의 미의식을 반영하는 패션의 하나라는 관점에서 전통 화(靴)에 나타난 미적 특성을 통해 그 안에 내포되어 있는 미의식을 분석해 보고자 하였다. 미적 특성은 형식적인 면에서 곡선과 직선, 단순한 형태, 대비되는 색상과 소재 등 각 요소들의 균형 있는 사용이, 내용적인 면에서 신분과 지위의 상징으로서의 활용과 사상적 의미 부여가 특징적으로 나타났다. 미의식은 첫째, 곡선과 직선의 절충(折衷)으로 한 가지 요소에 치우침이 없이 서로의 특징을 수용하여 균형을 이루는 중용(中庸)의 미를 추구했다는 점이다. 둘째, 무심(無心)과 기교(技巧)의 조화(調和)로 형태와 색상, 소재에 대한 표현을 적절히 조절하여 비움과 채움을 자연스럽게 나타냈다는 점이다. 셋째, 정신과 물질의 합일(合一)로서 전통 화가 신분과 지위를 나타내는 표식으로 활용되었으나 물질에 정신적인 의미를 부여함으로써 기운생동(氣韻生動)의 가치를 추구했다는 점이다.

The purpose of this study was to examine and fully understand the transformation of female's ideal beauty through time based on word analysis. Word selection was made from the very exemplary Women's magazines : Yuhwon, Jubu-Saengwhal, and Yuhsung-Dongah. Further, in order to research the understanding of female's ideal beauty, a random research was done on 445 women, ranging from the ages 20's through 60's. From the result, a frequency analysis was performed to further analyze the meaning of ideal beauty to each sector of the age groups for different time periods : the 1980's and the 1990's. To the 20's, beauty awareness was defined by the word ‘intelligence’, however, the 1980's endorsed confidence with composure and calmness where as the 1990's preferred beauty to be defined by ‘refinement and goal oriented’. The 30's selected ‘individuality’ marked with confidence in character, but there was a shift from ‘mature intelligence’ in the 1980's to ‘professionalism’ in the 1990's. The 40'E chose mediocrity and commonness, however, likewise, a sense of ‘earnestness’ for life and family was looked upon as beautiful. For the 50's, comfort with a reserved tenure was frequently noted and for the 60's, women chose ‘health and independence’ as describing ideal beauty. The results from the research are justifiable because the articles are in a neutral perspective and are from the representative women's magazines. This research proved that the younger the age group, the more exterior beauty was considered, as opposed to the older generation who found inner beauty to be of most importance.

To realize the above concepts of underground space, several underground facilities are concentrated upon and around subway stations in harmony with underground pedestrian walkways. As a result, the reduction of transit time and pedestrian distance make it easy to get to an object. In this study, underground space is considered not just as pedestrian walkways, but as space for various activities and as a positive element in connection with its circumstances. The purpose of the study is to understand underground space's elements and develop more aesthetic and efficient design of the space to give mental composure and familiarity to users. The development of underground connection space is one of the methods to improve the quality of the whole downtown area. This paper studied the general characteristics of connection space and space improvements after spot inspections and suggested several aspects useful for substantial design as essential data for development of underground connection space.

The hearing aid chip described in this paper is an analog & digital mixed system. The design focuses on the$\mu$DSP core. This $\mu$DSP core includes internal time delays to two inputs from front and rear microphones. The paper consists of two parts; one is the composure and signal processing algorithm of digital hearing aids and the other is Verilog HDL codes for$\mu$DSP cores. All digital modules in the design were coded and synthesized by Verilog HDL codes which were verified by Mentor Graphics and Synopsis semiconductor chip design tools.

Purpose: This study was explored the experiences of the middle-aged women and tried to understand their lived experiences. Method: The data was collected from 9 participants living in Seoul from Sep. to Dec. 2003. Collection of data was by means of in-depth interviews. The analysis of the data was made the phenomenological analytic method suggested by Colaizzi(1978). Result: The 10 themes were extracted in this study ; sense of emptiness, repentance of one's past, decline of physical functions, lost one's youth, worry of children, thinking about future, importance of husband, importance of job, composure of mind, content with present life. Conclusion: Therefore, the helpful program should be developed and applied to extend positive lived experiences, and relieve or exclude negative lived experiences for the middle aged women.

In the political and economic circles of our society, the security and secretary is always accompanying the society leaders, like shadows. The job of the security and secretary is a very difficult one that requires comprehensive and extensive capability and talent. From results of the prior studies, qualities of the security and secretary are divided into three groups. i.e. personal qualities, mental qualities and physical qualities. Each quality can be summarized as follows. Firstly, personal qualities mean honesty, responsibility, initiative, work ethic, sense of duty, modest attitude, kindness and loyalty. Secondly, mental qualities represent agility & composure, judgement, adaptability, memory, prediction, accuracy & reliability, observation and secret. Finally, physical qualities such as health, cleanliness, decent appearance, good feeling voice, physical strength and Martial arts for Protection. The security and secretary equipped with the above three requisites can be said to be the most ideal the security and secretary whom this age want and need.

이 연구에서는 진정한 '수학수업'의 맥락에서 수학퍼즐을 어떤 방법으로, 어떤 관점에서 제시할 것인지 논의하였다. 우선, 수학퍼즐의 일반적인 특징을 추출하고 수업 안팎에서의 다양한 활용을 조사하였다. 둘째로, 수학퍼즐을 의미 있게 전달하기 위한 수업방법을 논의하였다. 셋째로, 수학퍼즐을 어떠한 관점에서 다룰 것인지를 논의하였다. 마지막으로, 수학 퍼즐을 통한 수업은 학생들에게뿐 아니라 교사들에게도 '수학에 있어서의 여유'를 경험하게 해 준다는 점에 그 중요한 가치가 있음을 지적하였다.

Purpose: This study was done to explore the meaning of joys and sorrows in mothers of children with Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS). Methods: The participants were 9 mothers who each had a child with MPS. Data were gathered using in-depth interviews. The interviews were recorded and transcribed verbatim. Data were analyzed using Colaizzi method. Results: The significant results from analyzing the interviews can be grouped into 12 concept descriptions, and 5 theme clusters. The essential theme clusters for the experience of the mothers were 'hopelessness about this rare disease', 'guilt because of the disease being hereditary, 'endless courses of treatment', 'wounds in the relationship', and 'relative composure of mind'. Conclusion: The finding of this study offer profound information on joys and sorrows experienced by mothers of children with MPS and provide basic data for developing nursing intervention strategies for the mothers of children with rare diseases.
