  • This study investigated composition elements and estimation of image in lobby from user viewpoint that is the central space of local cultural institution, and spectator mainly utilizes. Progress process of study develops investigation device including literature investigation, professional panel and lobby space image measurement tool through on-the-spot probe and, executed supporting research to spectator. As the result of the study, first, lobby space image exerts absolute effect to local cultural institution image-building, and is grasped on constituent that floor, ceiling, entrance and lighting and decoration is important in image-building of lobby space. Second, the image of the important lobby space was grasped in order of convenient image(M = 3.98) bright image(M = 3.87), and cozy image(M = 3.80). Third, the results on investigating semantic structure of the lobby image, emotional factor, styling factor, spatial factor, and peculiar factor are composed of important factors that decides image of lobby space. Fourth, as the result of image analysis for lobby space, the degree of satisfaction for the local cultural institution was entirely low against the importance. In particular, the image for convenience, individuality, locality and dignity was not sufficient in all the three places. Therefore, lobby design of local cultural institution shall also suggest more various lobby space image from culture oriented viewpoint.

  • This study aimed at analyzing physical characteristics of art-walls which is a focal point in contemporary interiors of the apartment houses. The factors for the analysis were types of apartments, positions, widths, compositions of elevation, and materials of art-walls. 89 art-walls were selected for the analysis ranging from $76m^2$ to $187m^2$. The result shows that wood was mostly applied to art-walls in small types of apartment in combination with other materials, and the composition of elevation was asymmetric. If the width of art-walls became smaller, the elevation was dominantly designed with symmetrical grid using tiles. Tiles turned out to be the general material for the single-applied material. However, if more than two materials were applied to art-walls, wood was chosen as the main material. Regardless of the types of apartment, big-sized art-walls were usually designed in the living room, and two different types of materials were applied to the walls. It reveals that art-walls of apartment houses have been planned and designed with focuses on the living room in the housing space. To make a modular panel for the art-walls, 400mm and 800mm sizes were both suggested, 400mm for the smaller composition, and 800mm for the larger composition of the art-walls. A Wall image is becoming more essential to the living space these days, because it can be both decorative and also supportive to residents' various individualities. Therefore, it is expected that further researches on art-walls are continuously performed, and also various designs of art-walls based on the modular system are developed in the near future.

  • Since lamb is a commodity, producers cannot control the price of the product they sell. Therefore, managing production costs is a necessity. We explored the study of elasticities as a tool for basing decision-making in sheep production, and aimed at investigating the composition and elasticities of lamb production costs, and their influence on the performance of the activity. A representative sheep production farm, designed in a panel meeting, was the base for calculation of lamb production cost. We then performed studies of: i) costs composition, and ii) cost elasticities for prices of inputs and for zootechnical indicators. Variable costs represented 64.15% of total cost, while 21.66% were represented by operational fixed costs, and 14.19% by the income of the factors. As for elasticities to input prices, the opportunity cost of land was the item to which production cost was more sensitive: a 1% increase in its price would cause a 0.2666% increase in lamb cost. Meanwhile, the impact of increasing any technical indicator was significantly higher than the impact of rising input prices. A 1% increase in weight at slaughter, for example, would reduce total cost in 0.91%. The greatest obstacle to economic viability of sheep production under the observed conditions is low technical efficiency. Increased production costs are more related to deficient zootechnical indexes than to high expenses.

  • MgO-CaO protective layers with various composition were prepared by electron beam evaporation to improve the characteristics of conventional pure MgO thin films as a protective layer for AC-PDP. The maximum deposition rate of pure MgO was 1025 $\AA$/min and decreased with increasing [(CaO/(MgO+CaO)] ratio of evaporation starting materials. From XRD analyses, a trend of peak shift to the lower 2$\theta$ angle side was shown as CaO content increased and it stoped when the concentration of CaO was 0.13, which corresponds to the maximum solubility of CaO in MgO. The optimum composition of the protective thin films was Mg 47.1 at%, Ca 1.3 at%, O 51.6 at%, and firing voltage, memory margin and deposition rate of the film with this composition was 176 V, 0.5 and 515 $\AA$/min, respectively.

  • This study designed to elucidate free amino acid composition and calcium, iron contents in extractive cooking. broth of boiled-dried anchovy. Composition of the free amino acid in boiled-dried anchovy, in large and medium one appeared the same tendency. Abundant free amino acid of boiled-dried anchovy were histidine, alanine, lysine, leucine, glycine and glutamic acid in order. The total free amino acid was greatly extracted from cooking broth when boiled at 30 minutes. Free amino acid, such as histidine, alanine, lysine, leucine and glutamic acid had abundant in cooking broth. The calcium and iron contents in broth were little difference between large and medium one. Calcium and iron contents were highest in cooking broth when boiled at 30 minutes. Panel test on general accetability was very good in the boiling at 30 minutes.

  • In this study, $Bi_2O_3-B_2O_3-ZnO$ glass system, which was expected to have similar properties with PbO containing glass system, was selected as a PbO replaceable potential composition because the atomic weight and ionic radius of Bi is similar to those of Pb. Glasses with different modifier/former ratio were prepared by melting the raw ingredient mixtures in $Bi_2O_3-B_2O_3-ZnO$ system, and the thermal and electrical properties of the sintered samples were examined. The glass transition temperatures and the dielectric constant of the glass pellets were between 350 $^{\circ}C{\sim}$500 $^{\circ}C$ and 15-35, respectively.

  • An evolutionary optimization process involving genetic algorithm and combinatorial chemistry was employed in an attempt to develop titanate-based red phosphors suitable for tri-color white light emitting diodes We screened a eight-cation oxide system including $(K,Li,Na)_x(Y,Gd,La,Eu)_yTi_zO_{\delta}$ in terms of luminescent efficiency. The combination of genetic algorithm and combinatorial chemistry was proven to enhance the searching efficiency when applied for phosphor screening. As a result, the composition was optimized to be $(Na_{0.92}Li_{0.08})(Y_{0.8}Gd_{0.2})TiO_4:Eu^{3+}$, The luminance of this phosphor was 110 % of that of well-known scheelite variant phosphor at an excitation of 400 nm.

  • The $Zn_2SiO_4:Mn$ phosphors were prepared using polymer matrix technique in order to improve the performance of green emitting phosphors for plasma display panel(PDP). $Zn_2SiO_4:Mn$ phosphor exhibits a strong green emission around 520-530 nm. The emission intensity and particle size of powders were controlled by sintering temperature and raw material composition. The zinc silicate $Zn_2SiO_4:Mn$ single phase were obtained at lower temperature than prepared by solid-state reaction method. PL luminance of $Zn_2SiO_4:Mn$ phosphor was similar to the commercial material.

  • Demographic transition drives changes in consumer demand for food products. This study examines how rising incomes and population trends affect spending on food purchased for home. The objective of this study is to characterize the relationships between selected socio-demographic factors and food selection among South Korean households. Panel data from Rural Development Administration (RDA) in South Korea in 2010 was used (n=971). Household food purchases were classified into one of the five food groups from Composition of Foods of RDA. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the effects of household size and income based on the expenditure share on each food group. All statistical analyses were performed using SAS/ PC version 9.3. Results show that household socio- demographic characteristics have a strong influence on food purchasing, with the purchase of vegetables and fruit, and processed food and pre-packaged being particularly sensitive.
