The furniture industry of the northern region of Gyeonggi Province consists of several regional complexes which was just autogenously, that is, not based on the organized and planned movements cultivated and clustered, so it stays small businesses. This fact certainly requires to find right courses for future policy direction, in order to develop the furniture industry centering in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province internationally competitive. Consequently the aim of the present study was to investigate the characteristics of the furniture industry in the northern region of Gyeonggi Province first and to present right development directions for the innovation of the structure of furniture industry according to the change of the times, i.e. to connect the industry, university and the authorities concerned well and to strengthen the technology level of furniture industry accordingly. In addition, this requires education and training of the excellent designers being able to create high added-value industrial sectors, including finding a new Korean national brand which should preoccupy the global market. Furthermore, the high-tech furniture industrial complex specialized in manufacture, distribution and marketing such as the division of work between business to business should be built and finally a Korean traditional & unique furniture culture should be created on the basis of a cultural approach of furniture industry. It would be the timing for entire business sectors related to Korea's furniture industry to establish an international standard certification like ISO, in order to upgrade the quality of furniture steadily while keeping our own tradition, and this belongs to a meaningful attempt for the high-tech lifestyles and the improvement in the quality of life of customers.

Methods that industrial spies use to smuggle core technology out are becoming more intelligent, technological, and complex, thus resulting in more serious damages. In particular, defense industries in which involve national core technology as well as institutions including labor force are industries that are in a greater need of the convergence security. Defense Industry develops, experiments, and produces defense security supplies for national security protection. Defense industry involves a number of security elements such as military secret, industrial secret, core technology labor force, defense industry supply, critical national facility, and information communication system. Defense industry security is a complex of military security and industrial security which is convergence security that integrates all security elements of defense industry. Therefore, defense industry security is a typical ideal model for convergence security. Research on defense industry security is relatively insufficient compared to research of security in other industrial fields. In order to prevent core technology of denfese industry from leaking and to protect technical professionals and institutions, research and action on defense industry security from convergence security perspective are therefore essential at this point of time.

Palladium dichloro complexes catalysed the oxidation of cyclopentene by dioxygen in tetralin solvent at ambient temperature. Cyclopentanone formed mainly together with autoxidation products from both cyclopentene and tetralin. The oxidation seems to proceed by co-oxidation mechanism, where tetralin was first oxidized to its hydroperoxide which then oxidized cyclopentene to cyclopentanone. Mechanism of the other by-products formations has been discussed.

There are crafts industry has a complex nature of the artistic and cultural features. In this study, we investigate the status of the craft industry for cultural goods. Based on this study of what is likely a problem with the craft industry and research, we propose away to melt complex ways.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial distribution and the linkage characteristics of the warehousing industry in Busan and to provide the policy implications for the warehousing industry in Korean port hinterland. We surveyed the warehousing firms in Busan. Categorizing the warehousing industry into industry types, sizes, and organization types on the basis of the survey, we attempted the point pattern analysis and the proximity analysis using the GIS. The warehousing industry in Busan had changed from a small single-unit firm to a medium or a large firm with a head office or branches. These were distributed in hinterland of North Harbor, South Harbor & Gamcheon Harbor, and Sin-Pyoung & Jang-Rim industrial complex and Sasang Industrial Complex constituting the spatial agglomeration. The warehousing industry in Busan formed the linkages with other sectors of the same logistics to provide manufacturing industries with various other services as well as storage services. The linkages were largely formed in the local scope with spatial proximity, generating the economic gains of agglomeration, which were transformed into the efficiency of the warehousing industry in the local scope to gradually expand the spatial dimensions of the linkages.

The purpose of this study is addressing the process of developing industrial complex in North Korea, especially in Gaeseong. The Gaeseong Industrial Complex(GIC) is the first project which is completed in North Korea by South Korean company. LH, the main developer of the project successfully made the various procedures, master planning, land acquiring, developing, attracting investment, managing SOC, for making the industrial complex competitive using its own know-how and experiences in South Korea. The New development experience of LH in Gaeseong Industrial Complex case would indicate various implications to us for making another developing project in North Korea.

This study was carried out to investigate the effect of enzyme complex on odor emission from swine slurry and the process of making swine liquid manure. Ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations were significantly decreased by using the enzyme complex of liter per ton level of liquid swine slurry in the manure storage tank according to the time. Characteristics of liquid swine slurry were affected by the enzyme complex, total nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen contents were reduced compare with control. Ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations in the finishing pig building and offensive odor compound on the boundary line of swine farm were significantly decreased by spraying in swine finishing building. In conclusion, the results obtained from this study suggest that using the enzyme complex of liter per ton level of liquid swine slurry for making liquid swine manure may improve the quality of swine liquid fertilizer and reduce odor emission. Also farm scale enzyme complex treatment may improve air quality in finishing pig building and deduce offensive odor compound of swine farm.

This study estimated the regional economic effects by development of the logistics complex in Incheon New Port, applying the regional Input-Output tables in Incheon. And thereby, we tried to find some strategic implications on the priority to induce more effective industries for activated operation of the logistics complex in ports. According to the results, development of Incheon New Port will generate 2,579 billion KRWs(2.2 billion USDs) of production and 1,783 KRWs(1.5 billion USDs) of value-added annually. And we expect it to induce 38.8 thousand jobs, which is over the national average on the input-output table. By the business type, port logistics industry will contribute to develop regional economy more than any other ones in Incheon. We suggest business firms in port logistics industry to be induced to the logistics complex in Incheon New Port strategically. Until now, development of the logistics complex in Incheon New Port are planned to be postponed to 2015 when construction of the berth facilities, the access sea routes and the hinterland highways are completed. We suggest to invest more public fund, to induce the private capital, and then, to develop the logistics complex in Incheon New Port earlier in an appropriate scale.
