  • We obtain an asymptotic behavior of the loss probability for the GI/PH/1/K queue as K tends to infinity when the traffic intensity p is strictly less than one. It is shown that the loss probability tends to 0 at a geometric rate and that the decay rate is related to the matrix generating function describing the service completions during an interarrival time.

  • The recent completions of free-form spatial structures provide us a very attractive form. To realize such an extraordinary shape, it is absolutely necessary that the connector systems have to be investigated the characteristics of the systems and analyzed with a practicable method. In this context, this research consists of not only literature research but also numerical analysis with selected connector systems, which was adopted in real free-form spatial structures. For numerical analysis, especially, finite element analysis (FEA) is performed with a various test parameter using a commercial program ANSYS. Consequently, the general characteristics of node connectors the moment-rotation-curves are presented by considering a large deformation effect as well as a multi-linear material properties.

  • By forming completions of families of noncommutative polynomials, we define a notion of noncommutative continuous function and locally bounded Borel function that give a noncommutative analogue of the functional calculus for elements of commutative $C^{*}$-algebras and von Neumann algebras. These notions give a precise meaning to $C^{*}$-algebras defined by generator and relations and we show how they relate to many parts of operator and operator algebra theory.

  • Cofinite graphs and cofinite groupoids are defined in a unified way extending the notion of cofinite group introduced by Hartley. These objects have in common an underlying structure of a directed graph endowed with a certain type of uniform structure, called a cofinite uniformity. Much of the theory of cofinite directed graphs turns out to be completely analogous to that of cofinite groups. For instance, the completion of a directed graph Γ with respect to a cofinite uniformity is a profinite directed graph and the cofinite structures on Γ determine and distinguish all the profinite directed graphs that contain Γ as a dense sub-directed graph. The completion of the underlying directed graph of a cofinite graph or cofinite groupoid is observed to often admit a natural structure of a profinite graph or profinite groupoid, respectively.

  • This paper investigates a new proof of standard completeness (i.e. completeness on the real unit interval [0, 1]) for the uninorm (based) logic UL introduced by Metcalfe and Montagna in [15]. More exactly, standard completeness is established for UL by using nuclear completions method introduced in [8, 9].

  • It is impossible to do real verification on design spaces before their completions due to the characteristics of building and interior space designs. So, in designing spaces, designers should reflect their real experiences in their lives into their design works. 3D games where GPU and other kinds of advanced technologies have bee applied first show their leads in technologies have bee applied first show their leads in technologies about 5 years than VRML. Those games which are produced reflecting real environment as it is could be regarded as the most excellent tool in their completeness level of physical environment due to their characteristics. This means that if 3D game engines employing GPU are used effectively they could be used as a presentation tool for virtual spaces. This study studies the expressions of virtual constructions through 3D game engines employing GPU, not in VRML-based virtual spaces on Webs but in immersion-type virtual spaces.

  • Recently, various types of ships are facing with a challenge to adopt the high efficient and environment-friendly power generating systems. For the reduction of exhaust emissions, improvement of thermal efficiency, and lowering the noise and vibration levels, fuel cells are gaining the much more interests. This paper projects the future marine fuel cell market on the basis of considering the historical world shipbuilding and marine engine market. To do this, the number of total ship is, at first, obtained by forecasting the number of annual new shipbuilding orders and completions. Finally, fuel cell market is forecasted by obtaining the engine capacity for annual world total number of ships and engine orders.

A Study on the Analysis of Lime Mortar Composition for the Preservation of Myung Dong Cathedral Church - Focused on the East Brick Wall - (명동성당 외부 벽돌벽의 보수.보존을 위한 석회몰탈 성분 분석에 관한 연구 - 동쪽 벽면 보수 공사를 중심으로 -)

  • The bricks in Myung Dong Cathedral Church are now deteriorated by the weather such as temperature, humidity, and winds. Thus it is necessary to replace the old bricks to the restored bricks for the load bearing capacity as well as to prevent the penetrations of rains from outside. However the mortar composition is not well defined at this moment and there are literary about the mortar completions. Thus it is necessary to verify the mortar compactions between old bricks and results to bring the restoring the mortar for the replace of new bricks. The particles of mortar was collected from Myung Dong Cathedral Church and particle size was analyzed by the mortar and pestle and mechanicle floater. The X-ray diffraction and XRF of each particles are analyzed. The quartz and feldspar such as albite, kaolinite are observed in large particles(>1mm). However, the clicite was observed at lower than $43{\mu}m$ particles. In XRF analysis, the $SiO_2\;and\;K_2O$ are observed at large particles$(1mm-208{\mu}m)\;and\;CaCO_3$ is observed at small particles$(208-43{\mu}m)\;and\;CaCO_3$ is observed at small particles($208-43{\mu}m$). This is well coincide with XRD results. The optimum volume ratio of lime mortar would be 1: 2 ($CaO: SiO_2$).

  • In the construction industry, projects are becoming increasingly large and complex, involving multiple subcontractors. Traditional centralized coordination techniques used by the general contractors become less effective as subcontractors perform most work and provide their own resources. When subcontractors cannot provide enough resources, they hinder their own performance as well as that of other subcontractors and ultimately the entire project. Thus, construction projects need a new distributed coordination approach wherein all of the concerned subcontractors can reschedule a project dynamically. To enable the new distributed coordination of project schedule changes, I developed a novel agent-based compensatory negotiation methodology, which allows software agents to simulate negotiations on behalf of their human subcontractors. This research formalizes the necessary steps that would help construction project participants to increase the efficiency of their resource use, which in turn will enhance successful completions of whole projects.

  • This Studies interpret Kim Ki-duk's film in terms of shamanistic world views. In this studies, the ritual properties of Kim Ki-duk's film were trying to reveal. To do this, Kim Ki-duk's entire 14 works were analysed. Specifically, shamanistic characters, their actions, themes, ways of storytelling, mis-en-scenes, and visual settings were focused on. The results show, fantastic and ritual properties were represented directly and the very archetypes of Korean cultural shamanistic symbols were embedded in his films. Shamanistic symbols and narratives in Kim Ki-duk's films were related to the main themes of harmony between suppressing men and suffered women. This symbols and narratives could be interpreted through the sacrifices of characters, exorcistic behaviors, expressions of death etc. In the long run, as visionary or anti-realistic author, Kim Ki-duk has been performing shamanistic ceremonies(in Korean "Gut") with his whole works. With these findings, processes from preparations to completions of Gut-Pan (Shamanistic ceremony) in Kim Ki-Duk's works were tried to reconstruct.
