The purpose of this paper is to examine whether there are relationships of substitutability or complementarity between the call demand of fixed telecommunication and mobile telecommunication services. In order to clarify the relationships, we suggest a model of call demand of fixed telecommunication service which incorporates the variables representing the diffusion of mobile telecommunications subscription and estimate it with relevant time series data. Finally it is shown that there is complementary relationship between the call demand of fixed telecommunication and mobile paging services, and it is also found that there is substitutable relationship between the long distance call demand of fixed telecommunication and mobile phone services.

This paper complements the work of Courtney et al. in viewing learning organizations as inquiring systems. Hegelian inquiring systems are based on the dialectic. Dialectic can not exist without dialogue. The guarantor of this system is conflict. Hegelian inquiring systems would facilitate multiple and contradictory interpretations of reality. Hegelian synthesis of two opposing models-thesis and antithesis-is the epitome of open systems and double-loop learning. Knowledge gained from the Hegelian inquiring systems may result in an entirely new strategic direction to organizations. This paper reviews some guidelines and principles of Hegelian learning organizations and IT support of it. Also it proposes the immediate deployment of Hegelian learning organizations in the wicked business environments and finally suggests the development of new, flexible information technologies and systems for Hegelian organizations.

한국어에서 보조사로 인해 발생하는 격 모호성(case ambiguity) 문제를 해결하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 이 알고리즘은 용언의 하위범주화 사전, 용언과 그 용언의 보어가 되는 체언간의 선택 제약, 체언의 의미 정보를 제공하는 시소러스 등의 구문.의미 지식과 더불어 몇 가지의 휴리스틱 규칙을 이용하며, 필수 보어의 생략이 흔한 한국어의 특성에 잘 대응한다. 중규모의 하위범주화 사전 및 시소러스를 이용한 실험에서 만족할 만한 성능을 보였다.Abstract An algorithm is proposed for the resolution of case ambiguity caused by the use of auxiliary postpositions in Korean language. The algorithm utilizes verb dictionary which provides subcategorization information and selectional restrictions, and the thesaurus as well as a set of simple heuristic rules. The algorithm is appropriate for Korean language where required complements are often omitted. The algorithm performed successfully in an experiment using medium-sized subcategorization dictionary and thesaurus.

In this paper, we design the GA-fuzzy precompensator of a Power System Stabilizer for Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor(TCSC-PSS) for enhancement of power system stability. Here a fuzzy precompensator is designed as a fuzzy logic-based precompensation approach for TCSC-PSS. This scheme is easily implemented by adding a fuzzy precompensator to an existing TCSC-PSS. And we optimize the fuzzy precompensator with a genetic algorithm for complements the demerit such as the difficulty of the component selection of fuzzy controller, namely, scaling factor, membership function and control rules. Nonlinear simulation results show that the proposed control technique is superior to conventional TCSC-PSS in dynamic responses over the wide range of operating conditions and in convinced robust and reliable in view of structure.

This study aims at the observation of some analytical levels-especially those of syntactico-semantical- of the visual expressions in general. As far as the syntactical parts are concerned, there were two steps to be approached. One is to select the paradigms according to the Saussure-Hambidgean suggestions, the other to derive syntagmas from what is called the 'chaos-system', one of nonlinear dynamics. In result, paradigms could be acquired 5 sorts with its so many varieties, as visual templates(VT), supplemented by their reciprocals(R) and complements(CLE), and syntagmas five orbits from each constant c=0 to c=10. In additional, in connection with semantic parts, the study introduced a Gremasian model of discourses and narratives for the interpretation of signifiers. By this, we could cover the conjunctive relationships(+) and the disjunctive(-) of the whole structure of visual expression. Finally, we certified that the above could be fully approved in terms of recent worldly cognitive scientic psychological discoveries.

In this paper, we solve the following four graph equations $L^k(G)=H{\oplus}J$; $M(G)=H{\oplus}J$; ${\bar{L^k(G)}}=H{\oplus}J$ and ${\bar{M(G)}}=H{\oplus}J$, where J is $nK_2$ for $n{\geq}1$. Here, the equality symbol = means the isomorphism between the corresponding graphs. In particular, we shall obtain all pairs of graphs (G, H), which satisfy the above mentioned equations, upto isomorphism.

In this paper, we present robust reliable H$\infty$ controller design methods of continuous and discrete uncertain time delay systems using LMI (linear matrix inequality) technique, respectively. Also the existence conditions of state feedback control are proposed . Using some changes of variables and Schur complements, the obtained sufficient conditions are transformed into an LMI form. The closed loop system by the obtained controller is quadratically stable with H$\infty$ norm bound for all admissible uncertainties, time delay, and all actuator failures occurred within the prespecified set. We show the validity of the proposed method through numerical example.

This paper considers the synthesis of non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ state feedback controllers for singular systems and static state feedback controller with multiplicative uncertainty. The sufficient condition of controller existence, the design method of non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller, and the measure of non-fragility in controller are presented via LMI(linear matrix inequality) technique. Also, through singular value decomposition, some changes of variables, and Schur complements, the sufficient condition can be rewritten as LMI form in terms of transformed variables. Therefore, the obtained non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller guarantees the asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed loop singular systems within a prescribed degree. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the design method.

The chromosomes of two similar lymnaeid snail species, Austropeplea ollula from Korea and "Lymnaea"sp. introduced to Australia, were karyologically investigated by using an air-dry method. The diploid chromosome number found in A. ollula was 32, and that of "Lymnaea" sp. was 30. The mitotic chromosome complements of A. ollula were 5 metacentric, 9 submetacentric, and 2 subtelocentric pairs. "Lymnaea" sp. had 5 metacentric, 8 submetacentric, and 2 subtelocentric pairs. Austropeplea ollula is distinguishable from "Lymnaea" sp. by their chromosome numbers.
