Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the intention of early application users in consideration of the characteristics of digital finance-based MyData service users. It is expected that user characteristics will affect the intention to use MyData service, which has not yet been advanced, and accordingly, it will examine how the characteristics of the initial users of MyData service and the intention to use it are connected. Design/methodology/approach The model used in this study is a value-based adoption model (VAM), and a lot of research has been conducted on information technology and online user acceptance and continuous use intention of online users. VAM has been proven useful through empirical analysis in many studies. The value-based acceptance model is a method of analyzing the intention to use Benefits and Sacrifices as the main elements of perceived value. It can be said to be a model that can analyze the benefits of use and the sacrifices to be made. Findings According to the analysis results of this study, it was found that usefulness, enjoyment, and reliability, which are the benefits of MyData service apps, had a positive effect on perceived value, which is partially consistent with existing research results. However, it was found that complexity, which is the sacrifice of MyData service apps, negatively affects perceived value and security has no negative impact. The results of security are considered to be complementary to financial institutions because MyData service deals with financial data based on personal information, and the research hypothesis is rejected because users' demands are relatively low. Therefore, MyData service apps should do more to increase benefits (usefulness, enjoyment, and reliability) than to reduce sacrifice (complexity) to users.
Health promotion program utilizing traditional korean medicine(TKM) is very unique modality uncommonly conducted throughout the world. Korea's TKM public health services went through initial stage from 2001 and spread throughout the country by 2003. 35 public health centers in the nation is appointed as 'TKM health promotion HUB' and in operation from 2007. But the program is still in the early state and evaluation of usage, satisfaction, and community service is still in demand. This study aims to verify current situations of TKM public health service by examining public awareness, usage, and satisfaction and suggest improvements based on findings. 2.5% of local residents were sampled and 1739 were chosen as subjects. Knowledge, attitude, satisfaction and others for TKM public health service were examined. TKM treatment service was most widely utilized(13.2%), followed by CVA prevention program(5.2%). For satisfaction level, CVA prevention program showed highest satisfaction(73.3%), closely followed by (Qi-gong program 63%). In general, awareness and utilization of TKM public health service were low but compensated by high satisfaction level. More active promotion and development of community specific programs should become available in the future.

The study aims to figure out pre-service elementary teachers' knowledge understanding on 'stratum and rock' as well as teaching-learning types on the same topic. A total of 65 seniors in an advanced science education course at B University of Education joined the research to fulfill the purpose above. With PCK classification framework, the study examined pre-service teachers' knowledge understanding on 'stratum and rock' while it analyzed how the teachers would teach the given topic to students. The results of the study are presented as follows. First, it was observed that the pre-service elementary teachers have a great understanding on 'stratum and rock' that would be taught via a science textbook for elementary fourth graders. However, regarding terms in 'shale and limestone', they appeared to have a relatively short understanding. Second, PCK elements of the pre-service teachers related to 'stratum and rock' were analyzed and according to the results, the teachers would be interested in teaching model selecting in the teaching-learning strategy field while they would be well aware of how important it is for them to perform an experiment in a teaching process. The teachers also appeared to understand that the teacher question can be mutual complementary during class. However, it turned out that the teachers would have a very much low understanding on learners' prior knowledge as they particularly believe that learning could be significantly affected by the learners' perception level as well as their learning interest and motive. Third, the pre-service elementary teachers were told to design teaching plans on 'stratum and rock' so that the study could find out what learning-teaching methods the teachers would adopt to teach the topic. It was learned that the teachers would proceed with the class basically by giving the learners a descriptive explanation on the topic and also by using pictures and drawings to enhance the learners' understanding during the class.

This study attempted to identify the relationship of functional health status, satisfaction of customized home visiting health service, and quality of life in vulnerable elderly. This research people 399 total in the object. Data gathering period was from June to September of 2010 and measurement tool used for this study was the house visiting health service recording sheet, recommended by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients with SPSS/WIN 17.0 version. Functional health status and satisfaction of customized home visiting health service positively correlated with quality of life. Functional health status not correlated with satisfaction of customized home visiting health service. Results of this study can be leveraged as complementary information for the effective management of customized home visiting health service subjects.

This study analyzes the factors and effects on the users' intention to switch from contact center-oriented to AI chatbot-oriented customer services by combining Push-Pull-Mooring Model and provides insights for companies considering the adoption of AI chatbots. To test the model, we surveyed users with experience using chatbots at least once across different age groups. Finally, we analyzed 176 cases for the analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics and SmartPLS 4.0. The results of hypotheses testing rejected the hypotheses for variables of inconsistent quality and low availability of push factors and low switching cost of mooring factor while accepting the hypotheses for the tardy response of push factors and all pull factors. Therefore, these findings provide important implications for researchers and practitioners who wish to conduct research or adopt AI chatbots. In conclusion, users do not feel inconvenienced by the contact center-oriented service but also perceive high trust and convenience with AI chatbot-oriented service. However, despite low switching costs, users consider chatbots a complementary tool rather than an alternative. So, companies adopting AI chatbots should consider what features the users expect from AI chatbots and facilitate these features when implementing AI chatbots.
Objectives: Korea has a dual medical system where traditional Korean Medicine (KM) and Western Medicine (WM) exist au equal terms with exclusive practice boundaries. The aim of this study was to identify complementary and substitute relationships between KM and WM in Korea. Methods: The data of 19,413 respondents were collected from the 2009 Korea Health Panel dataset. General characteristics and the medical utilization of respondents were analyzed descriptively. the Univariable Analysis was used to compare the factors that affected KM and WM utilization, and the Multivariable Analysis was applied to identify complementary or substitute relationships between the respondents' choices for KM and WM. The data were analyzed by the seven disease groups; diseases of nervous system, circulatory system, respiratory system, digestive system, skin and subcutaneous tissue, musculoskeletal system, and connective tissue, injury, poisoning and others. Results: 13.6% and 76.9% of respondents used KM and WM respectively last 12 mouths. 12.7% used both, and 0.9% used KM only. In overall, respondents who visited KM institutions used also WM. However, according to the analysis of choices of medical institutions, non-pharmacological KM treatment and WM has been used as a substitute for another in the diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, and connective tissue, injury, poisoning and others. Conclusions: Despite some exceptional disease areas, Korean people use KM complementarily to WM, and this result can rationalize the recent Korean government policies encouraging the cooperation of KM and WM. This study can he used for the future policies development for KM service delivery.

When new services are introduced, one of the drivers for market performance of them is the interactions among existing and new services. They are characterized by the substitution or complementary effects among existing and new service or the cannibalization of existing services by new services. This paper analyzes these issues in the telecommunications service industry context. To analyze them, a simple graphical tool or State Transition Diagram(STD) is developed and used. The diagram helps to clearly represent and explain the substitution, complement and cannibalization impact. Then, using the face-to-face survey of 1,200 people, a new wireless internet access service or WiBro is analyzed to identify the substitution/complement and cannibalization impacts in relation with the other competing services. Additionally, the important factors explaining customer subscription and substitution behavior are identified. The analysis results indicate that males, students or on-line game users are more likely to subscribe WiBro. Also, among the potential WiBro subscribers, customers who are less satisfied with the existing fixed line broadband internet access services are more likely to stop subscribing the fixed line service, which implies substitution by a new service. Additionally, this raises the issue of cannibalization if the existing and new services are provided by the same company. In fact we find the cannibalization effect is more serious for the cost sensitive group. We believe that our tool, approach, analysis results and their implications would be very helpful to devise a winning strategy for the new services in the highly uncertain telecommunications business environment.
Although many studies have stressed the importance of technology in service innovation, the roles of technology in service innovation are at the center of debates in the service innovation literature. One major research stream regards technology as a trigger for other innovation based on resource advantage theory. Conversely, another major stream considers it as an enabler of other innovations based on complementary theory. The contradictory situation induces the necessity to better understand the role of technology in service innovation. Therefore, this study aims to identify the role of technology in service innovation. This study investigates the role of technology in service innovation based on a service innovation orientation framework. Four service innovation orientations (i.e., service creation, service delivery, customer interaction, and technology) are identified on the basis of Den Hertog's 4D model. This study proposes a research model that examines the indirect effect of technology orientation on innovation performance through the service creation and service delivery orientations, and the effect of technology orientation on firm performance as a moderator between customer interaction orientation and firm performance. Based on empirical data from 193 knowledge-intensive business service firms in Korea, we explain the role of technology in service innovation. The results indicate that technology orientation influences both service creation and service delivery orientations as an antecedent but customer interaction orientation as an enabler. The three service innovation orientations, which are directly and indirectly influenced by technology orientation, positively affect firm performance. The findings also show that the role of technology is different depending on the type of service innovation orientation in this study.
This study was planned to investigate the difference in the choice of services between western and oriental medicine. Data were collected from 493 outpatients who visited the D hospital by structured questionnare. The results were as follows; The older aged groups, there were the more oriental medicine visitors, significantly Oriental medicine visitor had more experience to use the complementary food than western medicine visitor. In comparison of reason for service choice, the proportion of oriental medicine visitors was higher than western medicine visitor in considering of specialty of institution. In contrast, western medicine visitor had interest to 'newly-developed facility and equipment' and 'convenience and accessibility of service' as factor of service choice. In analysis of evaluation the service experiences, oriental medicine visitors evaluated the oriental medicine highly in 'therapeutic efficacy' and ' less side effect'. But western medicine visitor evaluated the western medicine highly in 'quick effect of therapy' and ' scientific apprach'. We concluded from result that there were difference in service choice behavior between western and oriental medicine visitor. We hope that these information will be applied to planning of consumer-oriented marketing strategy of hospital.

Objectives : Many researchers in western societies raised questions on methodological limitations of randomized controlled trial (RCT) for studying Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), and they have tried to find alternatives to RCT. Some of them recently have interest in health service research as one of the alternatives. Discussing the significance of health services research in CAM studies will be helpful to guide the researchers in Korea who are also interested in developing an appropriate research methodology for traditional Korean medicine. Methods : Previous studies on methodological issues of studying CAM and health service researches published in western societies until 2009 were searched mainly from Pubmed. The definition, main research domains, and research methods of health service research and the significance of it for researches on CAM were summarized. Results & Conclusions : Health service researches are important in two aspects. First, health service researches evaluate the actual practice of CAM, including the individualized diagnosis as well as treatment and interaction between practitioners and patients. Second, when evaluating the outcomes, they put an emphasis on subjective evaluation by patients as well as objective evaluation by doctors. Thus, it can reflect the treatment goals of CAM which is improving the overall quality of life and the physical and psychological health. Therefore, health services researches such as descriptive studies, qualitative studies, outcomes studies including economic evaluation, and whole systemic research should be more utilized in order for studying traditional Korean medicine.
