The purpose of this study is to provide the information of street planning for revitalization oft the community in urban detached housing area. This study was accomplished by observations and actual survey, and suggested several street planning methods; exclusion of the passing through car and control of the resident's car by one-way passage, protection of the parking area to inside individual lot by the ‘Break down Fence’ campaign in Daegu, and provide the common space for social contact and community According to this program, the public street space cant be changed into the semi-private space and the semi-public space as common territory.

The purpose of this study is to explore the factors affecting the community well-being of residents through empirical analysis. Rather than just identifying the variables that promote residents' subjective happiness, we focused on factors affecting residents' living condition. In order to empirically investigate the influencing factors, we constructed the analysis data using the Gyeonggi-do survey. We analyzed it by using linear regression analysis. Through the effects of influencing factor analyzed, we could find implications for public project's priority in budget distribution. It could be suggested that local public projects for residents should be focused on improving programs such as job satisfaction, resident health, and neighborhood relations in order to effectively raise community well-being level.

본 연구는 충청남도 공주시 살기 좋은 희망마을 만들기를 사례로 역량강화 중심의 마을 만들기 참여에 따른 농촌주민의 인식 변화를 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 희망마을 만들기 참여가 주민인식변화에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며, 참여빈도가 높은 주민일수록 인식변화 정도가 크고 참여빈도에 따라 변화된 인식요소가 다르다는 결과가 나타났다. 희망마을 만들기 단회 참여 주민의 경우 거시적인 농촌 현실에 대한 인식변화가 나타났으며, 3회 이상 참여 주민에게는 현재 자신들의 삶터에 대한 인식 변화가 나타났다. 마지막으로 5회 이상 참여 주민에게는 성공적인 마을 만들기를 위해서 주민의 참여와 협조가 중요하다는 인식이 자리 잡은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과 역량강화 중심의 마을 만들기는 주민 인식 전환과 주민단합의 매개체로 농촌커뮤니티 복원에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 지속적인 역량강화 중심의 마을 만들기는 농촌에 새로운 변화와 농촌 커뮤니티의 회복, 농촌경쟁력 향상에 영향을 미칠 것이다.

According to "The regulations regarding the residential construction standards", residents' common spaces are restricted by the standards on building facilities. In a typical apartment complex, residents' communal facilities are represented by a children's playground, a elderly social station, and a management office. However, these residents' communal facilities do not reflect residents' composition characteristics. Multidisciplinary research and experimentation to enable the community of housing complex are being actively conducted. In these situation, we observed institutional improvement about installing standard of community space, and analysed the tendency. The purpose of this study is to propose practical institutions to review the institutional improvement. We conducted a case study where was renovated the community space according to the new standard. As a results, the installing standard of the community space has changed in the direction to increase the autonomy of resident. These results raise the practical performance of the community space, and it has the effect of increasing the satisfaction of the residential environment. The results of this study suggest an alternative to the institutional aspects and planning aspects for community activation in housing complex.

This study analyzes interior features of indoor community facilities, focused on apartment complexes in capital area selected by 'Award of best living apartment' during $2000{\sim}2007$. First we analyze community facilities' concept, present standards of installment, present condition, then the size of each complex compared with legal standards. Also, we analyze interior features(spacial layout, furniture and furnishings, interior finishing materials, interior color), too. Research methods included both data survey and site visiting inquiry. Data survey method analyzes size of each complex using community facilities' floor plans, and site visiting inquiry analyzes type and feature of community facilities. Survey target was total 11 complexes, 7 in Seoul, 4 in Gyeonggi-do. The result is as follows. 1) It is needed to improve legal standards of installment, and to provide space with flexibility and changeability in order to allow alternation of usage purpose by resident's claim. 2) To determine size of community facilities, we must planned not only by the number of households, but by legal standards of supply according to the number of households, the rate of net area, and the recommended size per person. 3) The area of community facilities in apartment complex that residents use doesn't considered user's convenience. So it us needed to add each facility's recommendation in response to user's needs.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between the community business, performance and the life satisfaction of local residents and to investigate the mediating effects that community business performance has on the life satisfaction of local residents. The results of the study investigating the effect of community business, performance and the residents' life satisfaction mediating effect of performance are summarized as follows: First, there were differences with the economical, environmental, and performance factors pertaining to the participants' age while there were no differences concerning the social-cultural factors and the life satisfaction of local residents. Second, the higher the impact a community business has, the higher the life satisfaction of the local residents have. In addition, the higher the performance in community business, the more ready local residents are to be inclined to be satisfied. Third, economical and environmental factors have direct effects on the life satisfaction of local residents, but also indirectly effect the performance of local residents. In addition, the level of performance that a community business plays has a mediating role in the life satisfaction of local residents.

This study was carried out to offer direction to the Housing Management Support Center in terms of its key features and specific operational tasks. The research involved the property management office (n=35) and Resident Representatives of the apartment blocks (n=52). Advisory Services conducted a consumer survey, as well as a survey of expert interviews (n=15). Survey results were as follows: (1) the Managing Director and secretary residents were satisfied with the Diagnosis and Advisory services; (2) the administrative support services need to address housing issues, including a long-term repair plan and advice on using long-term repair reserves and "conflict resolution associated with public housing management"; and (3) there was a greater need for a "basic, common-sense Housing Management Information Base to provide services to the Resident Representatives of the apartment blocks". Based on the survey results, the main roles of the Housing Management Support Center are to act as a House of Commons Administrator to handle complaints with counseling, diagnosis and advice; to support the Resident Committees; to provide professional training, research, and investigation; to support community revitalization; to manage the business of guidance and inspection; to coordinate conflicts and disputes; to build a comprehensive source of information; and to build networks.

ICANN has been governing the Domain Name System(DNS) "technically" since 1998. The architecture is called Internet Governance, and it brings about many different discourses; "What does that govern?", "Who delegate its role to ICANN?"," How could the regime ensure fairness?" etc. This article will analyze on Internet Governance by applying the government approach of Foucault, and try to compare two parts, the 'core' and the 'edge' of Internet Governance for method. Whereas the 'core' of it refers the site that be governed by the formal contract directly, the 'edge' as the rest of it means informal friendly relations with ICANN. The 'core' rule was stemmed from technological community such as IAB or IETF historically. They had invented new world and its population to integrate the technical order as protocol and the semiotic order as language, that be based on new government mode. On the other hand, ".KR" domain, one of the 'edges', has been evolved into more heterogeneous system, through contest and conflict between traditional state and Internet Governance. The governed object of ".KR" domain is situated in the crossing of each other the 'protocol user', the 'language-semiotic user' and the' geographical resident'. Here the 'geographical resident' rule was weird for DNS, so that shows the internal lack of Internet Governance. It needs to move to the concept of 'Hangeul(Korean-language) user' rather than the 'geographical resident'.

Affordable housing has been a critical issue in the face of global economy and notably formulated a crucial agenda of the housing policy. While each local government seriously considers many approaches to providing affordable housing, a unique and innovative way to address it at a community level is fully uncovered, particularly nonmetropolitan areas where resources for economic development are limited and vulnerable. The purpose of this study is to examine the mechanism of the provision of affordable housing for the elderly in nonmetropolitan areas. In doing so, this research investigates the housing development and delineates it as one viable solution that stimulates local communities. The affordable housing development, as a viable option to spur local development and vibrate community, is closely reviewed, and the factors to make it feasible are drawn. The findings indicate that it is widely recognized that keeping the elderly in the community positively contributes to maintaining a sustainable community. In fact, the idea of affordable housing development for middle-class elderly people is brought by one inspired long-time resident, and it is expedited by the consensus and cohesion of local community. The development stimulates local businesses in relation to housing, and all homes sold by the elderly moving in the new housing are available for young families. Also, the presence of affordable housing for the elderly who are able to independently live is extended to a picture of aging-in-place at a broader level.

This study intends to identify the spatial characteristics by carrying out the case studies of supportive housing examples of the Top Ten Projects awarded by the AIA Committee on Environments. Information of 7 awarded works was collected and content analysis was made according to design concepts and spatial compositions. As a result, the major design concepts applied to the examples were categorized into 5 points of regeneration of community, accessibility to the community, enhancement of spatial capability, participation and consensus of stakeholders and resident support services. Many supportive houses were built as a project to regenerate the deprived area and to reactivate the community through supplying supportive houses. In addition, supportive houses were developed by independent house type and shared house type and diverse scopes and sizes of community spaces were provided by including residents' exclusive community spaces that provide diverse services to vulnerable residents in addition to individual residential spaces and the community spaces that promote the consensus of residents and community people. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic material that provides the direction of desirable spatial design for introducing supportive housings in Korea.
