  • 본 연구는 리튬이온 배터리의 엔트로피를 측정하는 방법인 ETM(Electro Thermodynamics Measurement)을 상용 장비에 적용하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 그리고 엔트로피 측정에 필요한 온도변경시간과 배터리의 relaxation 시간을 최소화함으로써, 측정의 정확성을 유지하면서 측정 시간을 최소화 했다.

Estimation of Genetic Characteristics and Cumulative Power of Discrimination in Korean Native Chicken and Korean Native Commercial Chicken (토종닭 순계와 실용계의 유전적 특성 및 품종식별력 분석)

  • To estimate the genetic characteristics and cumulative power of discrimination (CPD) within Korean native commercial chicken, we used a total of 395 genomic DNAs from six breeds population (Korean Native Red chicken: R, Korean Native Yellow chicken: Y, Korean native Commercial Chicken: C, Ogal chicken: S, Hy-Line Brown: H, White Leghorn: W). Genetic diversity indices including mean allele number among loci, unbiased heterozygosity ($h_i$) within locus, effective number of alleles ($N_e$) and polymorphism information content (PIC) as well as the unbiased average heterozygosity (H) among loci in the populations were calculated using the generated allele frequencies by each marker. Frequencies of microsatellites markers were used to estimate heterozygosities and genetic distances. The nearest distance (0.119) was observed between the C and Y strains. The generated unbiased average heterozygosity among loci in each population was integrated to the global formula of CPD and the result demonstrated that the CPD within the six chicken populations was 99.461%.

  • Each of power systems of solar cell and fuel cell were configured and validated for long endurance UAV, as the preliminary research for the integration of power systems. Solar power system consisted of solar modules fabricated by solar cells of Sunpower's C60, commercial solar MPPT controller and Li-po battery, and then was validated. The re-start characteristics of hydrogen production from $NaBH_4$ hydrolysis was validated for operating the commercial fuel cell. The average voltage drop of Li-po battery in solar power system was -2.9 V/hour. The performance of re-start characteristics of $NaBH_4$ hydrolysis was stable in sequence mode of mission profile. Each of single systems were satisfied for the proposed mission profile.

  • In this study, the effects of membrane characteristics on the power generation performance in reverse electrodialysis (RED) have been investigated with pore-filled ion-exchange membranes (PFIEMs) prepared by employing a porous polyethylene substrate and the mixtures of three cross-linking agents. As a result, it was confirmed through the correlation analyses that the cross-linking degree and free volume of the PFIEMs were effectively controlled by mixing the cross-linking agents having different molecular sizes, influencing complexly the electrochemical characteristics of the membranes and the power generation performance in RED. In particular, the pore-filled cation-exchange membranes at the optimum cross-linking conditions exhibited the power generation performance superior to that of the commercial membranes and the pore-filled anion-exchange membranes also showed the excellent performance close to that of the commercial membrane.

  • The deactivation of $V/TiO_2$ catalyst used in SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) using ammonia as a reductant to remove the nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the exhaust gas from fired power plant has been studied. The activity and surface area of the catalyst (Used-cat) which was exposed to the exhaust gas for long period have considerably decreased. The characterizations of these SCR catalysts were performed by XRD, FT-IR, FE-SEM, and IC/ICP. The crystal structure of $TiO_2$ both fresh and used catalyst has not been changed. However, $(NH_4)HSO_4$ deposited on the used catalyst surface verified from FT-IR, FE-SEM, and IC/ICP analysis. Moreover, the durability of $SO_2$ was increased by diminishing sulfate ($SO_4^{-2}$)f form.

  • This paper presents the analysis of the speed-power performance in the real sea using a large container vessel data provided as a test bed from a shipping company. To perform a speed trial of the vessel during a commercial voyage, the on-board measuring device and various operation data acquisition systems were mounted on the vessel for long-term performance monitoring and the voyage operated under the container loading condition close to the design draft was adopted. The content of this paper consists of Part I and Part II. Part I, such as this paper, contains the speed trial method and analysis results of the operating vessel. Part II contains the analysis of the speed-power characteristics change over time and before and after hull cleaning using operation data measured from the voyage operated under a condition similar to the speed trial.

  • This is the study on static excitation system of synchronous generator of large capacity in new model, which was developed by KEPRI using triple redundant digital method, associate three bridges of thyristor phase controlled rectifier. This paper will discuss the design conception and the application results of system which includes the power control devices(thyristors, GTO) and power excitation potential transformer. The multi-paralleling thyristor bridge converters of N+1 method have firing circuit. The initial product manufactured by proposed design in the study is in commercial operation, completing installation and commissioning in 400MW Thermal Power Plant. The performance test is done in practical technique.

Ultra-low-power Pulse Oximeter with a 32.768 kHz Real Clock

  • A conventional pulse oximeter has high power consumption; thus, its mobility is severely limited. In this paper, we discuss the drawbacks of the existing pulse oximeters and propose a new ultra-low-power pulse oximeter that supports wireless data transmission for remotely monitoring vital signs, such as peripheral capillary oxygen saturation (SpO2) and beats per minute (BPM). We could notably reduce power consumption by using a low-frequency single clock in all well-customized modules. Also, our device is publicly certified, and thus, possibly engaged in clinical trials for commercial use.

  • 최근 대다수의 상업용 에에컨 분야에서는 제품의 효율 상승 및 운전 영역 확대]를 위해 대용량 고효율 인버터를 사용하고 있으며, 이로 인해 계통 입력 전류의 고조파 성분이 증가하여 역률 저하, 발열 뿐만 아니라 여러 가지 계통 사고의 원인이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인버터가 적용된 대용량 상업용 에어컨의 입력 전류 고조파 성분을 저감하기 위한 3상용 Active Power Filter 시스템 기술을 제안한다. 또한 제안된 시스템을 설제 제품에 적용함으로써 계통 압력 전류의 고조파 저감 성능을 확인 하였다.
