국내 신문 인쇄의 색재현 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Color Reproduction Properties of Domestic Newspaper Prints)

  • Web offset newspaper prints is the most widely used printing process in domestic printing industry, but there are no industry-wide specifications for press control to assure consistent quality across newspaper printing plants. As newspaper printing becomes more of a commodity and less of an art, it is necessary to develop the print quality specification standard suitable for Korea web offset newspaper printing field. There are a few commonly employed printing standards such as, SNAP (Specification for Non-Heatset Publication) of the US, IFRA(INCA-FIEJ Research Association), J-color (Japan printing machinery association). And there exists KS for domestic standards, however, since it has been directly imported from ISO standards, there are discrepancies in printing materials and media. This paper aims to examine the color reproduction quality of domestic web offset newspaper prints by comparing with foreign standards. Printing experiments on this study have been performed at one of the domestic newspaper printing companies. The color reproduction properties of the web offset newspaper prints are measured by means of densitometry and colorimetry. These measures are evaluated comapratively with the international standards by means of analyzing, the major factors that determine the color reproduction quality of web offset newspaper prints.

Bismark Brown R을 이용한 Al(III) 및 Cr(III)의 비색정량 (The Colorimetric Determination of Al(III) and Cr(III) by Using of Bismark Brown R)

  • Al(III)과 Cr(III)을 여러 양이온과 음이온의 공존하에서 가리움제를 사용하지 않고 Bismark Brown R{4,4'[(4-methyl-1,3-phenylene)bis(azo)]-bis(6-methyl-1,3-benzenediamine)dihydrochloride)을 사용하여 정량하였다. 그러나 타르타르산과 시트르산이 공존하면 방해하였다. Al(III)과 Cr(III)은 같은 파장에서 최대흡광도를 나타내므로 Cr(III)을 Cr(VI)으로 산화시키면 Al(III)과 Cr(III)을 선택적으로 정량할 수 있었다.

  • This study deals with the analysis of color-difference and physical property of anti-corrosion coatings using at inside of concrete tank for drinking water. Because anti-corrosion coatings are effected by chemical attack, color and physical property are changed. So in this study when epoxy resin coatings of 3 types were received chemical attack by Cl- and NaOH, we present the co-relationship between color-difference and bond strength. For this study, we used the colorimetry, which can measure the degree of color difference on surface of materials. As the results, in case of Cl-, color change is appeared, bond strength also is decreased. From this experiment, we could know that color change due to chemical aging has the deep relationship with physical performance(bond strength) materials. further researches are needed.

  • 液狀이온交換體 Amberite LAI을 chloroform에 10%로 묽혀서 鹽酸算性에서 Bi(III), As(III), Sb(III), Zn(II) 및 Fe(III)의 推出率을 試驗한 結果, Zn(II)는 2M에서 98%. As(III)는 7~14M에서 Sb(III)는 2~4M에서 , Fe(III)는 6~10M에서 蒼鉛과 定量的으로 分離되었다. 그리고 chloroform을 溶媒로 썼을 때는 xylene이나 hexane을 溶媒로 썼을때보다 더 急傾斜를 이루는 推出率曲線을 나타냈다. 各各의 不純物을 分離後 Zn(II)는 dithizone. As(III)는 Gutzeit method, Sb(III)는 brilliant green, Fe(III)는 thiocyanate에 依한 比色方法으로 定量하였다.

쌀의 저장기간에 따른 쌀가루와 생전분의 특성 (Effect of Aging on Physicochemical and Pasting Properties of Nonwaxy Rice Flour and its Starch)

  • Using three consecutive years' harvested rices and their starches isolated from rice flours by alkaline method, it was found that no significant aging effect on rice flour and starch was observed based on following results. Proximate data of flours or starches showed in similarity, except high level of crude fat in rice flour and rice starch harvested in 2002. In SEM, the surface of aged rice flour had slightly layered shape due to possible abrasion during storage, and that of aged starch showed more smooth and less rigid polygonal shape. X-ray diffraction patterns of flours and starches were all A type, and crystallinity of rice starch harvested in 2000 had the smallest. From tristimulus colorimetry (Hunterlab Color), total color difference ($\Delta$E) calculated from L, a, and b gave less color difference with the darkest in 2002 harvested one among flours and the lightest in 2001 one among starches. WBCs of both 2002 rice flour and starch were the lowest among samples studied. At 80$^{\circ}C$, swelling power and solubility of rice starches harvested in 2000, 2001 and 2002 were 14.35, 9.75; 14.04, 9.6; and 12.49, 8.82, respectively. The highest peak viscosities measured by RVA were shown both in 2001 rice flour and in its starch. Starch and milled rice flour harvested in 2000 had higher hydrolytic $\alpha$-amylase, compared to other flour and starch samples.

  • Various side-chains are introduced to the 7-amino position of 7-aminocepha-losporanic acid (7-ACA) to make semi-synthetic cephalosporin antibiotics. In order to convert cephalosporin C (CPC) to 7-ACA, two enzymatic reactions are generally imployed. Glutary1-7-aminocephalosporanic acid (Gl-7-ACA) acylase is involved in the second step where the reaction intermediate, Gl-7-ACa is converted into 7-ACA. It was recently reported that CPC amidase can convert CPC directly into 7-ACA in a single enzymatic reaction. A study was undertaken to screen microorganisms conferring enzyme activity to convert Gl-7-ACA or CPC into 7-ACA by one or two enzymatic reactions. In order to screen the microorganisms rapidly, a non-$\beta$-lactam model compund, glutaryl-$\rho$-nitroanilide, was utilized in an early stage, thereafter the selected microorganisms were examined with real substrates. One microorganism exhibiting both Gl-7-ACA acylase and CPC amidase activities was obtained by the colorimetry method and HPLC assay, and was identified as a strain of Serratia species, designated as Serratia sp. N14.4. The optimal fermentation conditions for Serratia sp. N14.4 was pH9.0 and 3$0^{\circ}C$.

유기게르마늄 화합물인 Ge-132의 분석법 (Analysis of organic germanium, Ge-132)

  • 유기게르마늄 화합물인 Ge-132의 분석법을 확립하였다. 이온교환수지 컬럼을 사용하고 $Na_2B_4O_7$ buffer를 이동상으로 하여 Ge-132를 분리한 다음, 전기전도도 검출기를 사용하여 검출하는 방법을 이용한 결과 50pmol의 농도까지 분석할 수 있었다. 이 방법은 Ge-132의 원료와 제품의 품질 관리에 응용이 가능하였다.

키토산을 첨가한 양념 황석어젓 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of seasoned whangseoke-jeot with chitosan)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a seasoned Hwangseoke-jeot(a kind of salted and fermented fish) with chitosan having less fishy smell and salty taste. In order to decrease the fishy smell and increase the palatable taste effectively, four types of seasoning were developed, in which minced ginger, garlic and onion were included. In order to improve the color and flavor of seasoned Hwangseoke-jeot, high-quality powdered hot red pepper was also added in all the seasonings. Seasoned Hwangseoke-jeot type 1 had the oil and roasted powder of sesame, which are known to decrease fishy smell and palatable taste, and was the basis of other seasoned Hwangseoke-jeot. Type 2 had the oil and roasted powder of perilla, which also were known to decrease fishy smell and to increase palatable taste effectively. Type 3 had roasted soybean powder and laver to increase savory and palatable taste. It was developed especially for old and young people who like savory taste. Type 4, containing citron syrup, was for the young and children. All the developed seasoned Hwangseoke-jeot samples had better red color and other sensory properies than the control (S-company's seasoned Hwangseoke-jeot), as tested by colorimetry and sensory evaluation. More than 1% (w/v) of chitosan gave an astringent taste to seasoning, so it is recommended not to exceed 1% (w/v) in the seasoning. The developed functional seasonings of jeot would be applicable to other kinds of jeot.

  • Increasing environmental concerns require to solve the problem produced due to the use of heavy metals in coating formulations. Therefore, it is necessary to develop new coating strategy employing inherently conducting polymers such as polyaniline. Polyaniline is a conductive polymer that is synthesized by oxidation polymerization, and the electrochemical and chemical polymerization are possible for the oxidation of aniline. Electrochemical oxidation polymerization produces a fine surface and although voltage control is more convenient, it require electrolytic cells, and elaborate thin film can be acquired with the polymerization. Polyaniline films were electro-polymerized on cold rolled sheets using the galvanostat mode in the oxalic acidaniline-sodium molybdate electrolyte. The structure and properties of polyaniline film were studied using Potentiostat/Galvanostat 263A, FE-SEM,, AFM, SST, Colorimetry. A high corrosion resistance of polyaniline film was observed with an increase of corrosion potential by $500{\sim}600$ mV for the substrate covered with polyaniline.

저가형 요분석 시스템의 다중 광 검출 모듈개발 (Development of multi-colorimeter module for low-cost urinalysis strip readers)

  • An optic module system is developed adopting multiple colorimetry units for the measurement of multi-pad urinalysis dipsticks. Multiple photometry system instead of moving mechanisms has the advantages of system reliability and simplicity as well as economic aspects due to the recent development of economic color light emitting diodes and stable photo sensors. An integration amplifier with programmable integration time, a current source circuit with selectable and stable current settings were connected through analog multiplexers to thirty light emitting diodes for illumination and ten photo transistors for reading each strip pad. All the circuits are controlled by a microprocessor through a simple set of serial communication commands. The detect ability is eighteen times better than the minimum color difference of the test grading which is 0.013 in urobilinogen in the color space defined in this paper.
