Colors are in the inseparable relation ia the all parts of human life. The color influences not only our psychological and physiological aspects, but also our way of behavior. The purpose of this study was to investigate the color preference and the personal color of 100 university students. As results of researching current university students color preference when we compare it with pre-studied results, it shows some differences. In pre-studied, the blue and black marked high degree, but for recent students, it has appeared that warm color is highly preferred. Also warm color has shown as the personal color. There were significant differences in the relation between the blood type and color preference. It appears that the blood type A and B were preferred to cold color while the blood type of B and AB were preferred to warm color.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the recent trend color of bathroom based on analysis result of digital color image processing, to analyze the emotional color of that, and to suggest the harmony color combination for the bathroom. It leads to the two final results. That is, the main color of bathroom image is recognized as three color classifications such as YR-Y, Y-GY, PB-P, 2) from the point of emotional aspect, the trend color of the bathroom can be classified into four image categories: 'modern', 'mild', 'elegant', 'natural'. Finally, under these categories, this paper propose 12 color harmony schema which can be applied to color in, especially bathroom Interior design.

Living in the present, specially in this multi-cultural society, we have to look back our tradition in many aspects. And we try to find out our own identity. Color is very important element to decide what is traditional or not. And it‘s a prominent factor for design subject visually. With the color from traditional residence, we will figure out traditional color and it‘s combination which the people prefer today, so we can applicate and develop it in the present design. Using color palette which has extracted from traditional building and space, a survey has done of university students for finding out which they think of traditional color. The result showed that Y-R type and Y-R type in color palette was the most traditional things by the students. This study is meaningful in the way of clarifying that university students think what is the traditional color and color palette.

This study was carried out to develope DBMS program and use CAD for flower, leaf and fruit characteristics of deciduous woody landscape plants in Suwon, Korea from January 1, 1992 to March 20,1993. The results were as follows : 1. The flower, leaf and fruit characteristics of 211 species which were anthesis, flowering period, flower color, leaf spreading, leaf color before fall leaf coloring, fall leaf color, fruiting, fruit period, fruit color and trunk color were investigated through field survey. 2. DBMS program for flower, leaf, fruit and trunk characteristics of deciduous woody landscape plants was developed with data through field survey. And the DBMS program might contribute to the decision of appropriate times for planting design for flowers, fall foliage color, fruit color and hark color. 3.During this procedure, CAD software was used to demonstrate the deblossom before leaf spreading and leaf spreading in flowering, fall foliage color, fruit color after leaf falling, and hark color for planting design as well as seasonal color change of deciduous woody landscape plants.

The purpose of this study is to examine the makeup color range for developing the new makeup product line of domestic cosmetic brand, and suggest the special color stories and color palettes appropriate to characteristics of brand image For this study, personal color images are analyzed and classified through the literature survey of Korean womens' skin rotor like korean PCDS and japanese PCS. Also, a total of 3879 colors were selected from the 18 cosmetic brands and were analyzed by hue/tone color system. Based on the color analysis, the color range for makeup products are determined, and the typical colors of 4 personal color images are suggested. As a results, personal color images are classified into 4 types: DEW of p, lt, b tone; FLASH of s, v tone; MIST of ltg, g, sf, d tone; TERRA of dk, dkg, dp tone. we developed the color stories through five senses and lifestyles based on the consumers' emotion, and the rotor palettes suitable to each type of personal color images are developed.

The accurate representation of the colors of dyed fabric on a color CRT(cathode ray tube) screen is the basis for the automatic process in dyeing industry. In the former study, we had focused on the theoretically color matching method between CIE(International Commission on illumination) and RGB color coordinates, but In this study we tried simulating the colors obtained from fabrics on the color CRT by using experimental method. we obtained the following results. 1. We could simulate all of the color CRT by gamut mapping method, even though some of the KOSCOTE(Korea Standard Color of Textile) colors represented on the color CRT didn't exist in the region of color region 2. We could do conditional matching by CIE system, even though it was hard to do invariant matching the Red, Green, Blue phosphors of the color CRT because of the SPD(Spectral Power Distribution) which had been set up before. 3. We could simulate all the colors obtained from fabrics on the color CRT by matching those two color groups from KOSCOTE fabrics and color CRT using match algorithm and matching programs. 4. If we get over on obstacles by grafting CCM and CCK machines which have been used in educational and industrial areas by matching KOSCOTE with color CRT we will be able to invent color simulation system controled automatically.

This study is aimed at understanding the color extendibility of color-field abstract through Mark Rothko's paintings. Color extendibility is a structure applied by Mark Rothko. He simplifies it and by pursuing autonomy and immediacy of the color itself, including surface color and the front of color-field, Rothko creates value through motions in his square paintings of non-fixed shapes. Chapter 2 revisits the meaning of color in abstract expressionism and explains the principle of color-field by applying the concept of ergon and parergon. In chapter 3, the principle, processes, methods, techniques of expression were studied as a basis to understand color extendibility and color-field abstract. In chapter 4, the works of Mark Rothko were analyzed based on his multiform paintings(1946-1948), number and untitled(1949-1957), and black paintings(1958-1970) in order to identify, in the final chapter, the features of color extendibility in Rothko's works. According to the above research, the thesis successfully concludes that the artist's reconstruction of reality and readjustment of transcendent reality are reproduced via color extendibility, the movement of color-field.

Color plan that contains corporate color of Seoul apartment has a great influence on city environment, considering high-rise vertical dispersion and extent. Therefore, it is necessary to view color plan from an integrative viewpoint. Here, this research aimed at deriving guideline factors of esthetic color plan based on city identity, by recognizing the importance of apartment color and color plan characteristic of recently built brand apartments. Exterior color plan characteristic of Seoul brand apartments seen in this research, first, most of dominance colors were in same color similar tone with warm color in bright and warm image, as the psychological function, accessory colors appeared in similar tone of similar color harmonious with the dominance color. Also, accent color was highlighted with its identity through cooperative color. Second, emotional effect diminished size and weight of high-rise apartment. The upper levels showed clear and clean image, middle to lower level showed stability and comfortable image, on the whole, refined and urbane image that aim for natural and modern image. Therefore, apartment color plan requires, first, in respect of dominance color, unity is required proper for urban image by preparing color permission limitation standard. Second, dominance color and accessory color require historicity and differentiation in sociality that urban identity gets. Third, high-rise upper level cooperative color accent color requires compatibility with urban landscape. Lastly, guideline along with rate is required for color, tone, and pattern, etc. by extent contrast. Here, apartment color plan requires consistent research as urban environment color, also, base study should be accelerated as a part of competitive city branding.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of color stimuli on the grip power and the pinch power. Methods : For this experimental study, total 59 healthy college students, who were divided into Red color group and Green color group. Each group was assessed before and after color stimuli(10minutes). Subjects were for using standardized positioning with shoulder adducted and neutrally rotated, elbow flexed at 90 degree and the forearm and wrist in neutral position. Results : All the two groups showed significant differences in the variation of grip power and pinch power under color stimuli(P>.05) but there was no significant variation in grip power and pinch power among groups. Conclusion : This study precedes following study which is focused on the proposal of suitable or appropriate color circumstance for treatment room. Further studies are need with more subjects on long-term outcome.
