전립선비대증 변증도구 개발 기초 연구 (Development of a Basic Standard Tool for Pattern Identification of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH))

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop a standard tool of pattern identification, which will be applied to clinical research, for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Method: The items and structure of the instrument were based on a review of the published literature in China and Korea. The advisory committee on this study included 11 kidney-endocrine professors of the Korean Medical Colleges Division and 4 Korean medicine doctors who had a doctor's degree in the Kidney-Endocrine Division. The advisory committee was questioned regarding pattern identification importance, symptom weight, treatment importance, changes in the symptoms, rare changes in the symptoms, and frequency of prescriptions regarding benign prostatic hyperplasia. Results: The Korean instrument of pattern identification was completed; it was composed of four questions for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Conclusion: We sincerely look forward to improving the instrument through the continuous clinical studies.

환자안전 교육과정 개발 사례 연구 (A Pilot Study on Developing a Patient Safety Curriculum Using the Consensus Workshop Method)

  • Patient safety is achieved through systematic improvement based on the knowledge and willingness of medical professionals. A systematic longitudinal curriculum for patient safety is essential to prepare medical students and professionals. The purpose of this article is to introduce our experience with a 'workshop for developing a patient safety curriculum' and to compare the results with previous studies. The workshop comprising 15 medical professors and patient safety experts met for 2 days. The Consensus Workshop method was applied, collecting opinions from all of the members and reaching consensus through the following stages: context, brainstorm, cluster, name, and resolve. The patient safety curriculum was developed by this method, covering patient safety topics and issues, and teaching and assessment methods. A total of 7 topics were extracted, 'activities for patient safety, concepts of patient safety, leadership and teamwork, error disclosure, self-management, patient education, policies.' Issues, teaching methods, and assessment methods were developed for each topic. The patient safety curriculum developed from the workshop was similar to previous curricula developed by other institutions and medical schools. The Consensus Workshop method proved to be an effective approach to developing a patient safety curriculum.

  • The main purpose of this study is to prepare an outline for developing of the module-type text-book system on the customize curriculum management and Contents Systems that achieve self-study systems to make the students adopt themselves into new study atmosphere and maximize the result of study on Osan college in Electric-Electronic field. Questionnaire posed to analyze the demand of teaching materials to the students, and professors and also to find characteristics of students in Osan college. The SPSSWIN/PC+ statistics package was used to assay the collected answers. And simple frequency with percentage, average, and standard deviation were calculated to check the entire trend and actual state of teaching. Therefore, the improvement of the existing teaching materials was demanded while the fundamental ability to study of general students is declining. Consequently, it is necessary to introduce new teaching materials which are simple, easy, and organized to offer the students study desire and interest.

성교육 프로그램이 여대생의 성지식과 성적 자율성에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Sexual Education Program on Female College Student's Sexual Knowledge and Sexual Autonomy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the sexual education program on female college students' sexual knowledge and sexual autonomy. Methods: The integrative 5-week (15 hour) sexual education program reflecting control and coping aspects of sexual autonomy was developed based on self-determination theory. 59 female students were assigned to the experimental (n=29) and the control group (n=30). Students completed the sexual knowledge and the sexual autonomy questionnaires at prior to the program, right after and 10 weeks after the completion of the program. Independent t-test were used to test the effectiveness of the program. Results: Significant group differences were found on sexual autonomy score right after and 10 weeks after the completion of the program. No significant group differences were found on sexual knowledge at any time after the program completion. Conclusion: The results indicate that the 5-week Sexual Education Program was effective in increasing female college students' sexual autonomy. Nursing professors majoring women's health nursing may contribute to improving college students' sexual autonomy by opening the sexual education program as a general elective curriculum. Strategies to improve sexual knowledge need to be considered for better effectiveness of the program.

Method: It was based on a review of the published literature in China and Korea. The advisory committee on this study included 8 internal medicine professors from Korean Medicine Schools and 2 who had a doctor's degree and specialized in internal medicine. We were advised about the importance of pattern identification, weight gain as a symptom, the importance of treatment, changes in symptoms, rare changes in symptoms, and frequency of prescriptions regarding hyperthyroidism. Results: A Korean instrument of pattern identification was completed. Conclusion: We sincerely look forward to improving the instrument through continuous clinical studies.

  • Education emphasizes problem-solving skills based on convergent thinking power in an era of rising uncertainty and rapid progress. This paper proactively designed e-Learning team teaching convergence liberal arts courses for prospective teachers by these social needs. It analyzed the empirical effects on the operation of the subjects to foster future talent who can converge and apply knowledge in various fields. The curriculum consisted of professors of mathematics, practical Arts, computer, and education, and was operated to convey convergent knowledge of information technology and humanities, and consisted of 15 liberal arts courses at J University. Besides, textbooks and teaching materials were also developed by the faculty. As a result of the primary research, prospective teachers who took the course generally showed high satisfaction with the class, especially for the faculty. The students' overall convergent thinking ability has increased to a statistically significant level (p<.01), and the students' major has been found to be irrelevant. On the other hand, it can be seen that communication, content convergence, and caring factors, excluding creativity factor, have all risen to a significant level.

  • This study examines a systematic and effective approach to career guidance in medical education, with a particular focus on the 6-year integrated career guidance education framework implemented at the College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea. Based on the "New SLICE" educational development principles, this framework comprehensively addresses the needs of medical students in career planning and development. It is structured into three phases: understanding yourself, exploring options, and choosing a specialty. The first phase, understanding yourself, helps students to recognize their strengths, weaknesses, aptitudes, and potentials, thereby setting the direction for future career choices. This phase includes various psychological tests and Self-Development and Portfolio courses. The second phase, exploring options, enables students to engage in related activities such as research and practical training, providing direct and indirect experiences across various fields. This phase offers courses including Medical Field Experience, Career Guidance through the Learning Community & Advisory Professors, and Student Participation in Professor Research Projects. The final phase, choosing a specialty, involves students making decisions based on in-depth self-assessment and exploration of majors, with a capstone project being a significant component. Maximizing the efficiency of career decision-making requires integration between the basic medical curriculum and postgraduate education. Including the period up to residency entrance in the framework is necessary for effective career guidance education.

애니메이션 관련학과 NCS기반 팀 티칭 운영방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on NCS-based Team Teaching Operation in Animation Related Department)

  • 본 연구는 대학 수업에서 애니메이션관련 교육과정에 대해 NCS기반팀 티칭 교수학습사례를 제시하고 있다. NCS 교육은 스펙을 초월하고 채용시스템 정착과 국가직무능력표준 개발, 보급 등 실력과 능력이 존중받는 사회를 구현하기 위해 만들어졌다. 대학에서도 직무중심의 현장 전문인력 중심으로 대학 차원에서 직무특강 및 직무교육을 강화하고 있다. 특히, 애니메이션 분야는 새로운 기술이 급속도로 출현하고 있는 가운데 다양한 분야와의 융합형 인재를 요구하고 있다. 이러한 사회적 요구를 충족하기 위해서는 기존의 1인 1교과 수업방식에 한계가 있을 수 있으며 이를 해결하기 위해서는 직무별 세분화된 교수자의 다양한 참여가 필요하다. 즉, 학생들의 직무 교육 및 취업 창업의 문제를 전공교수 개인의 해결보다는 공동체적으로 해결하는데 목적이 있고 이를 위한 방안으로 팀 티칭을 제시하였다. 이를 통해 얻을 수 있는 기대효과로는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 애니메이션 분야가 갈수록 다양하고 융복합적으로 발전하는 추세에 따라 NCS직무와 관련된 능력단위 또는 능력단위 요소의 수행준거, 지식, 기술에 대한 전공 인력풀 활용으로 교수가 소속된 학과 이외의 타 학과 학생들과 매칭되어 보다 폭넓은 전문적 수업이 가능하다. 둘째, 대학 내부 전문가 교수를 적극적으로 활용하는 제도적 장치가 마련되어 자신의 소속 학과 이외의 타 학과에 부분적인 전문 역량 발휘가 가능하다. 이는 대학 내 교원역량강화 부문으로 연결된다. 셋째, 자신의 학과이외의 전문분야에 연관성 있는 전문교수의 협동수업을 통하여 보다 넓은 의미의 융합적이고 복합적인 대학만의 교육체계구축 할 수 있다. 마지막으로, 교내 교수인력풀의 전문특강과 멘토지원의 장점은 외부의 현장 전문가보다 학생의 다양한 이해와 요구를 수용할 수 있는 폭이 넓고, 학생에 대한 다각적인 지도가 책임교수와 이뤄질 수 있다. 학생이 필요로 하는 때 교내에서 쉽게 멘토를 만나 지도를 받기 때문에 시간적, 공간적 제약을 피할 수 있다.

보건계열 대학생의 취업의식에 관한 실태조사 (A Survey of the Actual Condition for Consciousness of Employment in College Students of Health Science)

  • 지식기반사회로의 변화와 더불어 무한경쟁 시대에 살아가면서 사회로 진출하는 대학생들의 취업전쟁은 자신의 미래에 대한 불안으로 작용하면서 대학생의 취업은 가장 큰 사회 문제의 하나로 대두되고 있다. 보건계열학과 3학년 학생들 대상으로 취업률 향상 방안으로는 학과교수는 취업관련 정보제공자로서 취업면담을 강화하고, 대학은 다양한 지역의 취업지도를 위한 출장 장려 등의 구체적인 대학 측 지원 계획과 시행이 요구된다. 또한 질적 향상을 위한 노력으로 대학 측은 취업중심 교육과정 개발과 학생의 기본적인 취업 준비를 위한 지원, 지도교수는 취업관련 정보제공 및 취업 전문 안내자가 되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

  • To produce well-qualified medical doctors, clinical training is a crucial part of medical education. To this end, teaching hospitals should be carefully selected and professionally managed. However, in Korea, there are no regulations or standards for training hospitals. Instead, some of the regulations that target teaching interns and residents are applied to teaching hospitals. In this study, we reviewed standards and regulations for training hospitals in other countries as a basis for proposing new standards for teaching hospitals in Korea. These new standards take into account the current environment of Korean medicine with the aim of designing appropriate educational programs for students and professional development systems for professors as well as providing educational resources and addressing the local community and international exchange opportunities.
