  • 3D printing has been considered a key technology, leading the fourth industrial revolution. However, 3D printed textile still has a lot of limitations to overcome before it can be adopted as a clothing material in terms of design, flexibility and dyeability. This study aims to provide modeling design for imparting the flexibility and post-dyeing process for 3D printed textiles. The modeling types were designed to test the flexibility of 3D printed textiles. The post-dyeing process was evaluated through dye absorption depending on the resin and modeling types, respectively. The results were as follows: two types of modeling (Modeling A and B) were designed with a ring structure to test the flexibility of the 3D printed textiles. The 3D printed textiles with ring-based structure Modeling A had flexibility regardless of the hardness of resin types. In the dyeability test, softening resin (S-Resin) and hardening resin (H-Resin) were found to have good dyeability with acid dye and direct dye, respectively. The condition of S-Resin with acid dye and H-Resin with direct dye was controlled by dye absorption rate.

  • This study made use of a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study to explore how handheld devices applications were integrated in teaching and learning in Textiles, Clothing and Design programmes. Participants of the study were purposively sampled from the Textiles and Clothing department at a selected university of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe comprising eight lecturers and thirty-two students. In-depth, focus group interviews and observations were used to gather data for the study. The findings of the study showed that participants were still at the stage of actively experimenting with very limited handheld device applications for the purposes of teaching and learning. Photoediters and digital cameras were the commonest applications used in most modules of the Textiles, Clothing and Design programmes. Though the photoediters and digital cameras were found to match the multimedia category of the Functionality framework, these were not fully utilised by students. It was recommended that there is need for the Textiles, Clothing and Design lecturers to provide opportunities for students to use a variety of applications on handheld devices for collaborative designing in practical modules of the programmes as these can encourage the development of critical skills necessary for creating innovative textiles and fashion designs.

  • The purpose of this study is in planning clothing and bag design and VMD. For this purpose, the pret-a-porter fashion collection is divided into the following sectors: brands, years, and seasons, focusing on the design elements. The results of this study are as follows: 1. It is these three ways that determine the relevance of clothing and bag design planning. first, we have analyzed design properties analogously with one design element, like Louis Vuitton. Second, we considered design properties analogously with two design elements, like Chanel, Gucci, Prada. Third, we examined design properties analogously with three design elements, like Christian dior, Fendi, Etro. 2. The comparison of clothing and bag design properties year by year shows that they were mainly designed with an analogous aspect with pattern and decoration. 3. Clothing does well to match a bag between analogous design properties of design elements to express similarity coordination and between contrast design properties of design elements to express plus one coordination or crossover coordination. 4. The aspect of coordination of clothing and bags year by year is different period. This is because of clothing and bag design's change according fashion trend. 5. S/S coordination of clothing and bags is effective to present plus one coordination or crossover coordination. And F/W coordination of clothing and bags is effective to present similarity in coordination.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between body cathexis and five aspects of clothing behavior. Body cathexis was measured by Secord and Jourard's Body Cathexis Scale, fit in clothing was measured by Mclean's questionnaire, and three aspects of clothing were assessed with Lee, Lim, Lee, and Kahng questionnaire dealing with clothing satisfaction, status symbol, and fashion interest. Preference for fashion style was determined by line drawings of clothing designs representing current fashion and non-current fashign. The questionnaires were administered to a sample of middle-aged women (40$\~$64 year of age) in Seoul. The data for 351 respondents were analyzed by correlation and t-test. The results were : 1) Body cathexis was positvely related to clothing satisfaction for early middle-aged women as well as advanced middle-aged women. 2) Body cathexis was positively related to fit in clothing for early middle-aged women as well as advanced middle-aged women. 3) Fashion interest was positively related to preference for fashion style in early middle-aged women, 4) Scores of early middle-aged women on body cathexis, fit in clothing and preference for fashion style were significantly higher than those of advanced middle-aged women, that is, early middle-aged women had a higher self-satisfaction with body cathexis and fit in clothing. They also preferred modern fashions in contrast to be advanced middle-aged sample.

  • This study identifies the main factors of internet clothing shopping motivation and analyzes their effect on customer e-loyalty among Korean and Chinese college students. Data were collected from 300 Koreans and 300 Chinese college students. The survey was statistically analyzed through an exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, T-test, and structural equation modeling. The factors of clothing shopping motivations were identified as merchandising characteristics, shopping convenience, value price, and hedonic pleasure. Chinese students had stronger motivations for value price and hedonic pleasure; Koreans had stronger motivations for merchandising characteristics. The structural equation model showed that the shopping motivations for merchandising characteristics, shopping convenience, and hedonic pleasure had significant effects on e-loyalty for Chinese students and the motivations for value price had significant effects on e-loyalty for Korean students. The conclusion shows a strategic direction for entering the Chinese e-market.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the difference of value and clothing behavior by generation, and to suggest a [device for family concord by overcoming a generation gap. Data was obtained from 106 families(daughter, mother, and grandmother in one family), of which the daughter was attending Ewha Womans University. And it was analyzed by ANOVA, Duncan.test, x2_test, ANCOVA ant two-way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows. 1. Each generation showed different values. Mother and grandmother perceived greater importance for each value except political value. 2. Each generation has its own clothing behavior characteristics. Style, silhouette, skirt length, and neckline preferrences were different by generatiorts. In general, mothers and grandmothers showed si mil ar characteristics. Wearing size and subjective feeling for suitability were also different by generation. Finally in consumption behavior, preferred clothing price and expenditure were also differed by generation.
