Clinical neuropsychology which belongs to the necuroscience field is concerned with relationship between human behaviors and the brain structure. Clinical neuropsychology has grown to be a specialized separate field within psychology over the last twenty years. Clinical neuropsychology offers an objective methodology to consider the mind-body interaction and evaluate the behavioral consequences and functional deficits associated with brain lesions. Clinical neuropsychological assessment is composed of cognitive, perceptual, motor and emotional function through various neuropsychological examinations such as Halsted-Reitan and Luria-Nebraska batteries, and computerized neuropsychological test such as PCIS Vienna Test System and Stim. The goals of neuropsychological evaluation are to identify of neuropsychological dysfuncitions, to develop execute and monitor treatment plans, and to make rehabilitation programs. Recently, the neuropsychiatric patients are increasing in number and 15-20% of acute psychiatric patients suffer from organic mental problems. Moreover, clinical neuropsychology has an increasingly important role in both neurobehavioral foundation and clinical application. This study was conducted to develop job standards for clinical dietitian administering clinical nutrition therapy to diabetic patients in hospitals. Based on DACUM (Developing A Curriculum) analysis of 17 members including clinical dietitians, professors majoring in clinical nutrition and researchers, information on duties, tasks and task elements of clinical dietitians for diabetes care were derived and applied to diabetes mellitus-specific clinical nutrition care in hospitals for evaluation. The final developed job standards for clinical dietitians for diabetes care included four duties, 19 tasks and 56 task elements. The duties consisted of nutrition assessment, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention, and nutrition monitoring evaluation. For application of diabetes mellitus-specific job standards in clinical nutrition care, 108 work activities were developed and classified into 90 basic and 18 recommended types. Performance rates of standardized jobs were 80.2% at nutrition assessment, 99.6% at nutrition diagnosis, 78.5% at nutrition intervention, and 32.9% at nutrition monitoring evaluation. These results can be applied as guidelines to implement jobs for diabetes mellitus-specific clinical nutrition services in clinical settings. In addition, they would be useful for education standards in educational institutions for education and training of clinical dietitian.
Purpose: To identify the effects of clinical practicum reinforcement program on nursing student's clinical competency and satisfaction in the ICU. Methods: The study utilized a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest research design. The participant was 76 senior nursing students, who were engaged in two week-long clinical practicum in ICU at the C university hospital in a G city, Korea. The clinical practicum reinforcement program was applied to the experimental group (n=39), while the control group (n=37) was involved in the conventional practicum program. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, $x^2$/Fisher's exact test, and t-test, ANCOVA with SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: After 2 weeks' clinical practicum, the experimental group showed a statistically significant increase in the clinical performance abilities by self evaluation, when compared to the control group. Clinical instructor's evaluation on the student's clinical performance revealed that the experimental group showed higher level in nursing activity than that of the control group (p<.001). However, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of the satisfaction on the clinical practicum program except the learning guidance and the evaluation. Conclusion: The clinical practicum reinforcement program is an effective one for improving the student's clinical competency.

Results and Conclusions: The results of data analysis were as follows: There were meaningful differences in the evaluation scores of the ordered elective clinical nursing practice with preceptors between students ($3.33{\pm}.39$) and nurse managers ($3.33{\pm}.28$) and preceptors ($3.23{\pm}.38$). Evaluation scores for the ordered elective clinical nursing practice with preceptors were categorized as follows: necessity and appropriateness, practice control and management, material for practice, practice report assignment and evaluation, practice ability improvement and connection with getting a job, and contribution to the hospitals.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to development and measure validity and reliability of evaluation tool for clinical nursing practice competency of Nursing students. Method: The participants in this study were 568 nurses who had worked for more than three years above in hospitals. Result: The derived outcome tool consisted of 6 factors of direct nursing actions and 6 factors of indirect nursing actions on the basis of 79 items. The 6 factors in direct nursing actions accounted for 76.84% of the variance and 6 factors in indirect nursing actions accounted for 79.68% of the variance on total scale. As a result of the item analysis, 79 items were selected and the internal consistency alpha coefficient was .9917. The value of Cronbach' alpha of direct nursing actions was .9640, indirect nursing actions was .9550. Conclusion: The results of this study show that useful application to the evaluation tool of clinical practice competency of Nursing students and further studies need to be done to verify clinical practice educational evaluation.

Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to understand the application of clinical reasoning throughout clinical and therapeutic knowledge of clinical pediatric physical therapists under physician prescriptions. Methods: Purposive sampling techniques were used in selection of nine clinical pediatric physical therapists in South Korea. Open and semi structured interviews were conducted, and were thoroughly examined and reviewed, followed by analysis of the clinical reasoning portion. Results: Pediatric physical therapists have been influenced by information gathering, physical function and evaluation of their patients, hypothesis-orientation, and re-evaluation and self-monitoring. Novice physical therapists were more dependent on physician prescriptions and parent's hope than the result of their own evaluation and critical pathway. Middle experienced pediatric physical therapists were more dependent on rapport with children and their parents. Highly experienced pediatric physical therapists were more reliant on hypothesis-orientation and self-monitoring. As reports on clinical experience of pediatric physical therapists have accumulated, clinical reasoning of pediatric physical therapists has been influenced by their experience, such as education, clinical pathology conference, their own clinical experience and rapport with patients and their parents than physicians' prescriptions. Conclusion: The findings of the current study are generally consistent with existing research on clinical reasoning. The results of the current study may be used by educators for enhancement of clinical reasoning abilities and knowledge of students or novices as well as development of a guide for use by suitable novices or students, and could provide important information for use in physical therapy practice and research.
Over the past few decades, drug regulatory agencies in advanced countries have been emphasizing pharmacometrics as a tool for an effective and efficient drug evaluation. Despite this international movement, the value of pharmacometrics is still poorly recognized by the Korean drug evaluation system. This study aimed to analyze the current state of utilization of pharmacometrics by foreign drug regulatory agencies and develop a road map to guide the implementation pharmacometrics into the Korean drug evaluation system. MEDLINE and foreign drug regulatory agency database were extensively searched to obtain scientific research articles, guidance, regulations and pharmacometric review reports on foreign pharmacometric drug evaluation system. A systematic roadmap comprised of 3 stages to implement pharmacometrics in Korean drug evaluation system was formulated after analyzing the collected data in tune with the current evaluation system. Pharmacometrics is an urgently required tool to achieve an efficient drug evaluation and review in Korea.
