  • 모든 도시들은 글로벌 무대에서 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해서 도시 브랜딩을 전략적으로 구축해왔다. 서울시는 2003년부터 정책 차원에서 도시 브랜드를 출범시켜서 현재까지 도시 브랜딩을 활용하기 위해 노력하고 있다. 이 연구는 그러한 노력에 대한 미래 방향을 제시하기 위해서 서울의 도시 브랜드의 변화를 탐구한다. 이 연구는 도시 마케팅 도시 브랜딩 그리고 도시 브랜드 슬로건과 관련된 이전의 연구에서 고려된 다양한 이론과 국내외 사례 연구에 기초한다. 관련 데이터를 수집하고 분석한 결과, 불확실한 도시 브랜드는 이해 관계자 간의 전략적인 거버넌스와 시민적 합의가 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있다.

  • 유비쿼터스도시의 건설 등에 관한 법률은 2010년까지 신도시 지역에 활발히 추진된 U-City 사업의 제도적 근간으로 작용하여 왔다. 그러나 최근 기성시가지 재활성화, 도시재생 중심으로 국가의 도시정책이 변화됨에 따라 신도시 중심의 절차법적 성격이 강한 U-City법 개정에 관한 요구가 증대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국가 도시정책의 변화와 U-City를 둘러싼 여건변화를 감안하여 U-City법 개정방향을 U-City 사업다양화, U-City 관리운영 강화, U-City 사업지원으로 설정하고 그에 따른 세부 추진방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 국가 도시정책 흐름 및 수요를 반영함에 있어 실무적 관점에서 현행 U-City법이 가지는 문제점을 살피고 그 개선방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 지속적인 U-City 발전 및 확산을 법제도적으로 지원하기 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • The word of U-City means next generation information city. U-City mixes both high technology information infrastructure and ubiquitous information in city to improve easy life in city, quality of life, personal security in city life, and well-fare service and to make business in new area. To provide information and joy of life to citizen in U-city, we will design U-Booth among IT infrastructure solutions. In this article, we will study designing city-type U-Booth and summarize designing point of U-Booth in terms of the specific place. At last, we want to say about the role of U-Booth in U-city. In this article, we want to study designing point of U-Booth and important parts in terms of the specific place of U-Booth.

  • In the aspects of the globalization and localization, it is crucial to determine 'Urban selling point', which explains how to make an image: in order to acquire city identity based on the cultural and historical understanding for the Positive city image. The Purpose of this study is to investigate the possible role of the public space as a tool of the city marketing strategy, as well as to realize the cultural city identity through the design of the public space by studying cases which promote the value of life for both of the city and the citizens. Two methodologies are utilized for this study; First, he value in realizing cultural identity is examined through the city identity related to the city marketing and theoretical review of city amenity; second, the several domestic and international cases of cultural planning in culture-accumulated public space are selected and analyzed to map out new strategies from the perspective of place strategy, cultural strategy, and marketing strategy. The results from this study are as follows; first, the culture-accumulated public space through the formation of culture has its own characterized meaning, which has the significant value for the city representative image; second, when planning the culture-accumulated public space, it is important to select not only the appropriate image strategy but the adequate type of the public space for the city planning.

여리고(Jericho)성(城)의 상징적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Symbolic Meaning of Jericho)

  • The purpose of this study is to know the characteristics of the ancient city through the basic composition of Jericho city. But there are little documents in the ruins of Jericho, and so there are the limit to understand the basic characteristic of the ancient city. And so this study is going to know the symbolic meaning of the ancient city of the Jericho city, through the transcriptions remains. Producing the concept that Jericho is the old city in the world, this study is significant that utilizing with the basic document of helping to understand the basic composition and characteristic in the ancient city. Also because the bible documents of Jericho is explained the city in the bronze age, this study sets bounds to BC 15C, and to know the symbolic system in Jericho. In the christian transcriptions, it is represented the Jericho city BC 15C. Jericho city here is described the type of the labyrinth is composing of the city in the center and surrounding by the walls. The circular type of the labyrinth city has symbol of the 'protect' having the magic power against the opposite party. Also the walls of labyrinth are the boundary territory of 'abstract conception' to round seven times. The center in the shape of Jericho is 'closing field' against circumferences, and this is different from the labyrinth on the floor in the medieval Cathedral is symbolized 'opening field'

  • 국가 간 경쟁의 주체가 국가에서 도시를 중심으로 하는 지역으로 변화함에 따라 지역경쟁력이 국가경쟁력의 근원으로, 지역차원의 조직이 국가 간 핵심 경쟁 단위로 부상하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한국의 75개 광역·기초시를 대상으로 하는 IPS 도시경쟁력 평가 모델을 통해 도시의 경쟁력을 구체화하고, 특히, 춘천시의 현재와 미래경쟁력 평가결과를 바탕으로 춘천시의 경쟁력 강화전략을 2010년 춘천시에서 개최되는 World Leisure Congress와 World Leisure Game 행사가 춘천시에 미치는 효과를 중심으로 검토하였다. 이러한 논의는 도시의 현재경쟁력뿐만 아니라 미래경쟁력까지 포괄하여 검토함으로써 도시의 경쟁력 강화에 대한 시각의 포괄성을 제시함은 물론, 도시의 여건 및 정책의 문제점을 진단하는 준거로 삼을 수 있으며 이에 대한 문제해결과 함께 보다 발전적인 도시전략 수립을 위한 척도가 된다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

  • As passing through the Japanese colonial period, Daegu has been changed into a modern city. In addition, the nature of the city had changed a lot by withdrawal of Eup-sung and the opening of the road and the increase of population in Japan. Of course, the expansion of the city was caused by the increase of the Japanese population. To understand the current city, it is most important to understand the past city's characteristics and especially the formation and change of city must be considered with understanding the situation of city. And now the city reflects the role of the city in the past. In fact, the effect of the street constitution in Daegu Eup-sung during Japanese colonial period on the present time was very big and continues. Especially, in order to understand the situation of the city and consider the direction in the future, the analysis of the development process has important implications.This study aimed to consider the change of Daegu Eup-sung Street and Formation of Dwelling Site focusing on the Buksung Street. The purpose of this study is to investigate the nature of the city and changing process of the city by the past Buksung street and the current Buksung street as time goes by.

U-City 구현을 위한 3D-Web GIS 기반의 가상도시 시스템 (Virtual City System Based on 3D-Web GIS for U-City Construction)

  • 최근 IT산업 기술의 발전으로 U-City가 전국적으로 추진되는 가운데 유비쿼터스를 효과적으로 구현하기 위해 도시 구성요소 표현 매체인 수치지도(map)와 위성영상, 인터넷 가상세계구현 표준 언어인 VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language)를 이용하여 현실세계의 U-City를 그대로 모사한 3차원 3D-가상도시 개념을 정립하였다. 가상도시(V-City)에서는 USN기반의 수많은 데이터베이스 자료와 지능형 서비스정보를 언제 어디서나 상황인지 하기 위하여 실시간 유, 무선 통신 네트워크와 연계시킨 가상도시 개념을 통해, 방대한 양의 유비쿼터스 정보와 서비스를 효율적으로 제어, 처리하기 위한 HTML 자바 애플릿과 인터페이스를 제공하는 EAI(External Authoring Interface)방식을 채용하여 RFID/USN으로 구축된 도시 생활정보를 효율적으로 연동시킴으로써 지능화된 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 생활서비스를 구현하는 전 세계 공간 위치 개념의 GPS, LBS, 내비게이션 시간개념의 RTLS와 함께 4차원개념의 유비쿼터스 가상도시(U&V-City) 시스템을 제안하였다.

  • Nowadays, interests on Eco-city planning as Solution for problems of energy demand and environmental change has grown. so Eco-city planning became a major political topic for urban planning and urban design in many advanced nation cities. The purpose of this study is to find out the organized characteristics of Eco-City planning by analyzing successful overseas case where wasted historic port area in city is are regenerated with a environment-friendly concept for Eco-City "HafenCity". It is located on Hamburg-mitte in Hamburg, Germany and is currently the largest construction project in Europe. HafenCity as Home to about 12,000 and the workplace of 40,000 people is being created to accommodate a variety of uses including residential buildings, business, office and retail space as well as cultural and leisure facilities. First of all, HafenCity impresses because of its size as well as because of its Urban planning for eco-city. It presents the excellent change from wasted historic port to the ecological urban space.

  • We all know how beautiful our wild and it's importance to our living planet Earth. But did you realise the speed at which man himself is damaging it's unique natural habitat. We are well on our way to destroy our forests, plants, wetlands. We are polluting our oceans and seas. This way, we're driving numerous animal species, plant species and many others into extinction. Everyone should be aware of the importance of our natural environment. We live in the period of echocide. Why we need nature to survive and how we can deal with the environmental problems we face. This paper has the purpose to reform city's environment. Because, Metropolis and megalopolis are the principal cause of environmental disruption. To reform the city is needed to consider digital technology in our age. In the face of economic and cultural globalization, many have argued that we live an increasingly placeless world. However, as a growing number of cities participate and compete in key marketplaces of advanced capitalism, the spectacle of the city is more than ever a significant medium of communication in its own right. In doing so, this work is focused specifically on the dimension of city's media environment. To that end, the paper examined U-City and U-Eco city. In this study, we will introduce the study on model of U-Eco City as one way for the eco-freindly future city.
