시계열 분석을 통한 보육교사 수급 전망 (Forecasting Demand of Childcare Teachers using Time Series Analysis)

  • The purpose of this study was to forecast demand of childcare teachers based ion four different scenarios. In order to, the demand for childcare teachers from 2015 to 2024 were forecasted using time series techniques with data on the number of childcare teachers from 2003 to 2014. Results were as followings. Firstly, the demand for childcare teachers was expected to increase until 2019, but after 2020 steadily decreased in terms of scenario 1(child teacher ratio regulation). According to scenario 2(child teacher ratio based on 17 cities and provinces), the demand for childcare teachers was expected to need 440 teachers more until 2016. Then, according to scenario 3(two teachers each class), Scenario 4-1(one teacher and one staff each 2 toddler class and 3 older class) and scenario 4-2(one teacher and one staff each class), the demand of childcare teachers and staffs were estimated. These results implicated that childcare teachers and staffs supply policy would be established according to forecast demand.

보육교사의 수요 전망 (Estimating the Future Demand for Chilacare Teachers in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate the future demand for certified teachers at childcare centers. This is an essential step to secure the supply of childcare teachers in the future. To achieve this purpose, the demand for childcare teachers from 2006 to 2020 were estimated using time series techniques with data on the number of childcare teachers from 2002 to 2005. According to time series estimates, the demand for childcare teachers is expected to increase steadily from 1,224 to 1,956 annually. This illustrates the need for mid-term and long-term planing in order to guarantee an adequate supply of childcare teachers.

첫 자녀 어머니의 사회적 지지와 학령전기 가정양육환경의 종단적 관계: 우울의 매개효과를 중심으로 (A Study on the Longitudinal Relations Between First-time Mothers' Social Support and the Home Environment for Preschoolers: The Mediation of Depression)

  • The current study examined the effects of early social support of first-time mothers on the home environment for their preschool-aged children via the mediation of mothers' depression. The study sample included 755 first-time mothers participating in the Panel Study on Korean Children(PSKC). Using Structural Equation Modeling(SEM), the longitudinal structure from mothers' social support when the child is one year old to the quality of the home environment when the child is 4 years old was examined. The results revealed that mothers' social support at age 1 predicted social support at age 3, which in turn predicted higher quality of the home environment for their children at age 4. The mediation of depression was also significant. Mothers' social support predicted lower levels of depression at both phases and mothers' depression was significantly associated with the quality of the home environment.

어린이집 영아반교사(1~2세반)의 신체활동 실행과 지원요구 (Professional Practical of Physical Activities and Support Requests from Child Care Center Teachers of Infants Aged 1 to 2)

  • 본 연구목적은 어린이집 1세와 2세반의 영아반 교사에 따라 나타난 신체활동 운영계획, 내용선정, 평가의 실행과 지원요구 차이를 분석하여 영아 발달수준에 적합한 신체활동 운영방안의 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 연구대상은 J도 어린이집 영아반 담임교사 221명이며, 51문항으로 구성된 설문지를 배포하여 수집된 자료는 ${\chi}^2$ 검증, 독립표본 t-검증 하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 신체활동 실행 변인 중에서 학급크기, 수업계획자, 적합한 지도자, 실외운동 주당수업 빈도와 수업시간, 연계교육 계획의 일부 변인, 신체활동 내용선정의 일부 변인, 신체활동 평가의 일부 변인에서 반별에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 신체활동 실행 시 지원요구 변인 중에서 신체활동계획안 작성법, 교수학습방법, 평가방법, 신체표현활동프로그램, 보수교육운영 시 표준보육과정 신체운동영역의 일부 변인에서 반별에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 본 연구에서 논의된 1세반과 2세반에 적합한 신체활동 운영방안과 교사의 지원 요구를 개선시킬 수 있는 방안의 일환으로 효율적인 영아보수교육 운영에 대해서 제언도 하였다.

어머니의 취업에 따른 영유아기 아동의 생활시간 양태 (Young Children's Time-Use According to Employment Status of Mothers)

  • This study explored time-use patterns of young children and compared the patterns according to mother's employment status. Using 6718 time diaries of 3359 children under age 5, as reported by their mothers, this study examined (1) the proportion of children who spent time on certain activities and the amount of time they spent on each activity for a weekday and a weekend day and (2) the proportion and the amount of time that children spent with certain adults. Compared to children with unemployed mothers, children with employed mothers spent more time during weekdays in child care centers and less time sleeping. These children also spent more time on education during weekends. The proportionate and actual times children spent with various adults also differed by the mother's employment status. Those with employed mothers spent less time with their mothers and more time with other relatives or teachers on weekdays. These results indicate that maternal employment corresponds with differing timeuse patterns from children's early life stages.

아동전문병원 입원환아 부모의 병원서비스 만족도 (Parent Satisfaction with Inpatient Hospital Services in Children's Hospitals)

  • Purposes: The purposes of this study were to evaluate parent satisfaction with inpatient hospital services in children's hospitals and to identify variables related to parent satisfaction. Method: A descriptive correlation study was conducted. Parents of 165 children who were inpatients in two children's hospitals participated in the study. Data were collected using structured questionnaire at the time of discharge. For statistical analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation analysis were used. Results: The highest parent satisfaction domain was nursing service, and the lowest parent satisfaction domain was hospital service and accommodations. Parents were less likely to be satisfied with hospital facilities, equipment, noise and cleaning and less likely to be satisfied with the lack of information they received and with the lack of communication with health care professionals. Parents with longer length of stay and with older children reported higher satisfaction than their counterparts. Moreover, parent satisfaction was related to their intention to revisit and related to intention to recommend this surveyed hospital over others. Conclusions: Efforts to improve parent satisfaction in children's hospital service and accommodation are needed to improve the quality of health care. Communication by health care professionals with parents and a partnership between parents and health care professionals are necessary to improve quality of care.

보육시설의 실외놀이 운영실태 및 교사 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Actual Condition and Teachers' Perception of Outdoor Play in Child Care Center)

  • This study will examine the current condition of outdoor play in child care centers and the overall perception of teachers on outdoor play in regards to its related programs and children's reaction to them. Through examining such issues, this study will provide the basic data that can be applied in planning appropriate outdoor play activities, programs and environments. For the study, we surveyed teachers and directors of child care centers using a structured questionnaire. The objects of the survey were 22 child care centers in Daejeon and Seoul, who agreed to conduct the survey. The survey was conducted from August 1 to September 30 2006; 220 copies were distributed, and 188 copies were collected. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: 1) The number of outdoor plays per week were on average 1~2 in most cases, although teachers believed the play should be done everyday. Outdoor play time was mostly 21~30 minutes, while teachers thought 31~40 minutes as appropriate. Children's reaction scored the highest when they played outdoors for 30 minutes every day with their teachers involved in the play. As a result, we have concluded that the appropriate outdoor play should be conducted everyday for 30~40 minutes. 2) Outdoor play was mostly conducted as part of the overall educational plan rather than a separate plan. Since outdoor play affects children's development as much as indoor play, there is a need for development of a specific and separate plan for various outdoor play programs. 3) The outdoor play program that was most often conducted was equipment play and sand play. This indicated the monolithic nature of the outdoor program. Given the fact that children enjoy outdoor plays a lot (M=4.71), various programs including adventure play, sensitive play, and carpenter play should be developed. 4) In outdoor play, the teacher's role included supervising and interacting with children. According to the survey, teachers had a good understanding of the importance on safety and supervising issues in outdoor plays. However they seemed to overlook the importance of having better programs and improving teacher's participation to the play. Despite the importance of outdoor play to children's development, the result shows that teachers have tendencies to limit and obstruct outdoor plays by emphasizing supervising and safety issues instead. 5) Children's safety should not be the only consideration for outdoor plays; teachers ought to better understand that children's development can be maximized by the play. Furthermore, there should be emphasis placed on the program development and teacher's participation; teacher's participation should actively encourage the interactions between a child and a teacher, as well as among children.

유아교사의 과학교수효능감과 유아의 과학적 태도의 구조적 관계에서 유아교사 창의성의 매개효과 (Mediation effects of early childhood teachers' instructional creativity on the structural relationship between early childhood teachers' science teaching efficacy and children's scientific attitude)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 어린이집 유아교사들의 과학교수효능감과 유아의 과학적 태도가 어떤 관계를 보이는지 살펴 본 후, 교사-영유아와의 상호작용의 질을 높일 수 있는 매개변인으로 교수창의성을 투입하여 교사 영유아와의 관계가 어떻게 변화되는지를 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구는 2018년 경기 수원지역의 어린이집 유아교사 303명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 23.0을 이용하여 구조방정식 모형과 Sobel-test를 실시하였다. 분석결과, 유아교사의 과학교수효능감은 유아교사의 창의성과 유아의 과학적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 유아교사의 창의성은 유아의 과학적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. Sobel-test 결과, 유아교사의 과학교수효능감과 유아의 과학적 태도 간의 관계에서 유아교사의 창의성은 매개역할을 하여 유아의 과학적 태도를 증진시키는 데에 중요한 변수로 작용하였다. 결론적으로 유아교사의 교수 창의성은 유아의 과학적 태도 향상을 위해 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 중요한 변인임을 확인하였다. 따라서 유아교사가 과학교수활동을 할 때 교수 창의성을 높일 수 있는 교육이 동시에 제공된다면 유아의 과학적 태도의 질을 높이는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Long Noncoding RNA MHRT Protects Cardiomyocytes against H2O2-Induced Apoptosis

  • Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The exploration of new biomarkers with high sensitivity and specificity for early diagnosis of AMI therefore becomes one of the primary task. In the current study, we aim to detect whether there is any heart specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) releasing into the circulation during AMI, and explore its function in the neonatal rat cardiac myocytes injury induced by $H_2O_2$. Our results revealed that the cardiac-specific lncRNA MHRT (Myosin Heavy Chain Associated RNA Transcripts) was significantly elevated in the blood from AMI patients compared with the healthy control ($^*p<0.05$). Using an in vitro neonatal rat cardiac myocytes injury model, we demonstrated that lncRNA MHRT was upregulated in the cardiac myocytes after treatment with hydrogen peroxide ($H_2O_2$) via real-time RT-PCR (qRT-PCR). Furthermore, we knockdowned the MHRT gene by siRNA to confirm its roles in the $H_2O_2$-induced cardiac cell apoptosis, and found that knockdown of MHRT led to significant more apoptotic cells than the non-target control ($^{**}p<0.01$), indicating that the lncRNA MHRT is a protective factor for cardiomyocyte and the plasma concentration of MHRT may serve as a biomarker for myocardial infarction diagnosis in humans AMI.

미취학 자녀를 둔 기혼 취업 남성의 주말 시간사용 유형화와 유형별 시간사용만족도 (Typology of Weekend Time Use and Time Use Satisfaction of Married Working Men with a Preschool Child in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to look into how married working men with a child younger than six years old spent their weekend time either alone or with their wives on housework, family care, and leisure activities, and to find out whether different types of time use brought about different levels of satisfaction to their use of time on weekends. Factors associated with each type were also explored. We analyzed 857 weekend time diaries of married men with a preschooler and men who worked more than 40 hours a week. This data came from the 2009 Time Use Survey conducted by Statistics Korea. Descriptive statistics and cluster analysis results showed that weekend time distribution to those three activities was classified into four different types, namely, 'nonparticipation', 'personal leisure centered', 'couple leisure centered', and 'family centered'. Time use satisfaction for 'couple leisure centered' and 'family centered' types which involved wife and child was significantly higher than the other two types. Age and traditional gender role attitude were associated with the personal leisure and couple leisure centered types, while work related factors such as work hours, regular day off, employment status, and occupation functioned as determinants of the nonparticipation type. Findings from this study suggest that weekend time spent together with family could be the source of satisfaction, but almost half of the respondents were deprived of their weekend family time due to work schedules on weekends. This study supports the need for organizational and policy efforts to ensure non-working weekends for fathers and husbands.
