  • The acceptance test of KTX has been performed in Korea. During the test, lateral vibration of carbody over the accepted value called sway was found. Many activities have been taken to find the cause of the vibration and the counter-measure. KTX has 20 car trainset formation whose trailer cars are linked by articulate bogies. So this study is performed to see the effects of long trainset formation on vehicle dynamics and the train stability by 16 car vehicle model. Firstly the reliable vehicle model which shows well the tendencies appeared in the tests on the high speed test line is required to find the cause of lateral vibration and the countermeasure. Vehicle model was made for the analysis with VAMPIRE. The analysis results show that secondary air spring lateral stiffness is the most significant parameter to cause carbody lateral vibration. Mode analysis results show that the least damped mode shape is similar to the vibration pattern shown in the tests that the amplitude of the motion increases along the train set and decreases in the tail part. The lateral vibration was "appeared at the speed range between 100km/h and 200km/h and disappeared at the low speed and the high speed.

  • Recent changes in the cause of death among the Korean population seem to be systematic and significant. Data on cause of death from the medically certified death certificates provide at least four types of evidence: a sudden increase in recent years in the numbers of death due to cerebrovascular disease or circulatory diseases including rheumatic fever and chronic heart diseases and atherosclerosis; increasing steadily in the numbers of death due to malignant neoplasm of various sites, and death due to accident; decreasing steadily in the numbers of death due to communicable diseases or parasite diseases; and a large number of deaths with unspecified symptoms and ill-defined conditions. The lack of complete registration of the deads occurred or the incomplete description on the cause of death reported suggests that statistical information of cause of death from the medically certified death records is meaningful in interpreting changing patterns.

  • The aim of this paper is to find out the nature of causality between the two ocean freights employing the Granger method. That is because the Baltic freights tend to move very closely and seem to be behave like one time series. The Granger causality test, however, is very sensitive to the number of lags used in the analysis. This means that one has to be very careful in implementing the Granger causality test. This paper, hence, uses more rather than the lags which the Akaike Information Criterion and the Schwarz Information Criterion suggest. This study shows that BPI does not "Granger-cause" BCI and BSI, but BCI and BSI Granger-cause BPI. I also discover that BHSI does not "Granger-cause" BPI and BSI, but BPI and BSI Granger-cause BHSI. I, hence, model and estimate the ocean freight function and show that the Baltic ocean freight market is inefficient and the biased estimator of the other freight.

  • Nowaday, with the growth of software for electro-thermal analysis, it has been studied the precise analysis and investigation of cause for the electrical fire using computer simulation on the basis of theory for electro-thermal analysis. But it is very lacking for the precise analysis and investigation of cause for the electrical fire. In this paper, we have simulated the thermal analysis for electrical wire according to the value of current and deteriorating time in a overload and a short with the electrical wire of the L's company product(600 V VVF : Three core) using the elec-tro-thermal finite element method(Flux2D).

  • The purpose of this study is to attempt a Analysis of a pointed-end Equipment Arm Safety-Accident for Fault Tree Analysis. Three major techniques were used first problem is Z-Model by which accident Analysis & prevention of a pointed-end Industry can be made, Fault Tree Analysis(FTA) bywhich quantification of a pointed-end Equipment accident Analysis can be made it 5 years in past and the third, manual-written by which minimal cut set to accident can be Identified. A example has been made of issue point a pointed-end Equipment that the Arm in loader happen to Injuries. According to the Analysis lack of safety knowledge, unsafety-behavior seem to be the primal cause of accident. Comparision of the accident cause to actual report demonstratesthat the FTA a efficient tool for Industrial Accident prevention.

  • Natural gas is an explosive fluid and can cause severe human/material damage when buried high-pressure pipeline is failure, and there have been reported cases of considerable human life damage to actual buried pipeline failure. In domestic cases, the length and duration of pipeline operating are short due to rapid growth. Therefore, it is a fact that the establishment of effective accident data is insufficient for the cause of the accident. In order to systematically construct an accident database, the operation history of natural gas pipeline is longer than domestic, and the cause and frequency analysis of recent natural gas pipeline related accidents occurred in overseas major countries with a long pipeline network was conducted. Then, after grasping the trend of occurrence frequency by incident cause, we tried to establish the foundation for securing the stability of the domestic high-pressure gas transport pipeline network.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the cause marketing on fashion brand credibility, purchase and words of mouth ("WOM") intentions. This study adopted a survey method with the questionnaire. Data were collected from respondents who were graduated from higher than elementary school students. The data were analyzed by using statistic methods such as frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability test and structural equation modelling. The results of the data analysis of this study are as follows; firstly, brand familiarity and customer attitude have a directly positive effect on the credibility, purchase and WOM intentions. Fashion business companies should work up the ways of communications with the customers besides cause marketing for the brand familiarity. It is necessary for customers to be known about how the fashion business companies participate in cause marketing to enhance the value of positive brand attitude. Secondly, while the brand familiarity on the credibility, purchase and WOM intentions are effective to female customers, the brand attitude is effective to male customers. Thirdly, even though it was showed that the credibility of fashion brands have no significant effects on purchase and WOM intention, it is due to its own nature of fashion business and it is founded in preceding research that high-involved fashion products may have different results in comparison with the practical products.

  • Incident investigation is one of the most important processes among various other safety management methods to prevent industrial accidents. Finding the root causes of accidents, eliminating hazards, and improving safety are the most important purposes of investigating accidents. During the investigation process, root cause analysis (RCA) techniques are used to effectively identify RCA. Over the past few decades, over 30 RCA methods have been developed. These techniques are being widely used in some industries, such as the nuclear and aircraft industries; however, most of the RCA techniques require professional knowledge and special training, making it difficult for safety managers in their respective fields to understand and apply them. Therefore, managers of general industrial sites are rarely present at the scene of actual accident investigations, and they cannot contribute much to the purpose and effectiveness of these investigations. In this study, to address these issues, we developed an RCA technique to facilitate root cause investigation of accidents in real-world industrial sites. To develop new techniques, Systematic Cause Analysis Technique (SCAT), one of the RCA techniques, was used to investigate incidents in the enterprise over three years. We also utilized feature analysis and other papers from existing RCA techniques. To verify its effectiveness, the technique proposed was also applied to the accident case. The technique developed can easily identify and analyze the root cause of an accident and help industrial managers. It can also identify the root cause category where accidents are concentrated and use this data to establish guidelines for preventing future accidents and, thus, focus on prioritizing improvement initiatives.
