The purpose of this study was to test the effect of the gender equality career education program on vocational gender egalitarianism and career identity of middle school students. The subjects of this study were 72 middle school students in Busan. They were divided into two groups, the experimental group and the control group, with 36 students each. Korea Gender Egalitarianism Scale for Adolescents and Career Identity Scale of My Vocational Situation(MVS) were used to measure vocational gender egalitarianism and career identity. Collected data were analyzed using t-test. Results of analysis showed that the experimental group showed higher vocational gender egalitarianism and higher career identity than the control group. The implications of this study for career guidance were discussed and recommendations for future research were made.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of career education utilizing vocational cards for school children on the career development of the male and female in elementary school who were in the career awareness stage, which was the rudimentary career development stage. The subjects in this study were 32(15 boys and 17 girls) students in one of seven fifth-grade classes in 'Angolpo' elementary school located in the city of J, South Gyeong-sang Province. Career education was provided to them by employing vocational cards for school children in six sessions for three weeks, twice a week, 40 to 45 minutes each. The major findings of the study were as follows; (l)the career education that utilized vocational cards for school children had a positive effect on developing the career development of the elementary schoolers. (2)the career education that utilized vocational cards for school children had a positive effect on developing the career development of the elementary school boys. (3)the career education that utilized vocational cards for school children had a positive effect on developing the career development of the elementary school girls. The above-mentioned findings illustrated that the career education utilizing vocational cards for school children was effective at stepping up the career development of the male and female in elementary school.

In this paper, in Incheon, vocational education and training satisfaction of vocational training institutions and on the factors affecting the career maturity were investigated. Mercy Vocational trainees receive training in vocational education and training to improve skills in the process it was found that commitment. In addition, "friends, family, acquaintances," with the encouragement of vocational education and training has been to collect. Prefer long-term training and career maturity and high educated singles with lower career maturity were higher. Regression analysis of satisfaction in the vocational education and training information, influence on career maturity. Therefore, the authorities concerned in the vocational education and training program faithfully find ways to operate should be.
Objectives : This study was aimed at exploring career-related characteristics of premedical students in Korean Medicine college and those relationships with career development readiness and vocational value. Methods : A total of 140 premedical students participated in the survey. The questionnaire consisted of demographic characteristics and career-related characteristics such as motive for career choice, specialty preference after college graduation, and school life adaptation. Also they responded in the web-survey of career development readiness inventory and vocational value inventory developed by Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education & Training. Eight items of motive for career choice were collected from the pilot study from 70 premedical students. Results : 'Job stability' was the top motive for career choice(25.5%). The average college life adaptation score was relatively low(13.7) : higher in male(14.3) and the early career decision group(14.2) than female (12.9) and late decision group(12.9), which was statistically significant(p=0.019 and p=0.036, respectively) in the subgroup analyses. The result of career development readiness inventory showed that 'self-knowledge' (79.3) and 'confidence on career decision' (78.6) were the two highest, which is similar to the result of the vocational value inventory ('fulfilling abilities' and 'self-improvement'). More characteristics were also described. Conclusions : The results showed that Korean Medicine premedical students have high vocational identity. This study suggested that more specified studies for identifying career-related characteristics for Korean Medical students should be conducted in order to design systematic and professional medical education programs.
In order to respond to rapid change in career world and future society, there has been need to strengthen the competitiveness of higher education institutions and career education system in universities. The article discusses an exemplary case studies of career education that being held in universities of developed countries such as, the United Kingdom(UK), the United States(USA) and Singapore. According to the analysis, in the UK, there has been a gradual interference by the British government; in the US, states respectively establish an educational policies and laws, as a result, it has quite a strong local government style. On the other hand, in the Singapore, as the majority of the universities are national university, the Government leads in establishing career education policy. As a result, this article aims to explore policies of career education in higher education institution in developed countries and provide an implication for Korean national career education.

The purpose of this study was to analyze of career exploration and career decision-making by identity statuses(diffusion, foreclosure, moratorium, achievement) of vocational high school students. The research questions were formulated as follows. (1) Is there a difference in identity statuses by level of the career exploration? (2) Is there a difference in identity statuses by level of the career decision-making? (3) How much identity statuses-identity diffusion, identity foreclosure, identity moratorium, identity achievement-effect to the career exploration and career decision-making? 255 vocational high school students in Pusan were sampled. For the statistical analysis, Oneway, analysis of covariance structure by AMOS 4.0 was applied. The results of the study were as follows. (1) The identity diffusion was low in the level of career exploration, but the identity moratorium and achievement were high in the level of career exploration. (3) The identity diffusion was low in the level of career decision-making, but the identity achievement was high in the level of career decision-making. (4) The identity diffusion effected to negatively career exploration and career decision-making, identity foreclosure effected to low positively career exploration and career decision-making, identity moratorium effected to positively career exploration but negatively career decision-making, identity achievement effected to positively career exploration and career decision-making.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 'career decision making', 'school career education activities and participation', and 'school career education satisfaction' after 568 high school students. Methods: The subjects were surveyed after the counseling training. Results: 49.3% of the respondents answered that they had "decided but considered" in the "career decision information items" of the questionnaire about the subjects after the school career counseling education. 28.0% of the parents' advice was the most helpful when choosing their career, and 52.2% of the career decision making at school. There were 13 items in 'participation in school career education activity', and the average value was 3.49. The highest score was 3.66 points for "college or major experience" and the lowest score of 3.27 points for career-linked career education. In 'satisfaction with School Career Education', 94.7% of creative experiential activities and 94% of career and vocational courses were enthusiasts, and entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship experience (10.6%) were low. The career decision - making self - efficacy was also high in the group with high satisfaction of career education. Conclusions: School career decisions for high school students were effective when they were devoted to parental advice, university experience, creative vocational and career, and vocational education. The career decision - making self - efficacy was high in the group with high satisfaction of career education. Therefore, career counseling education considered adequate if it is devoted to education professionals.
The purpose of this study is to analyze research on career and vocational education for students with severe and multiple disabilities and to examine the concept and characteristics of career and vocational education for students with severe and multiple disabilities. A total of 16 related studies were selected. Researchers analyzed the related studies based on general and in contents characteristics. In the results, the amount of topic-related studies were not enough. Most of the research utilized literature review and had students with severe and multiple disabilities as major research participants. The career and vocational education for students with severe and multiple disabilities puts emphasis on the living areas of daily, personal, community, and leisure, and is practiced based on specific vocation-related skills and interpersonal communication-related skills. The career and vocational education for students with severe and multiple disabilities was not fully practiced based on the individual needs of the students, and they encountered challenges in having jobs after graduation. In discussion, the research proposed theoretical reform of the career and vocational education for students with severe and multiple disabilities, reorganization toward proper curriculum, improving professionality of teachers, the collaboration between schools and families, and the career and vocational education that is wired with local community service institutions.
The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the vocational training satisfaction of youth on their career adaptability to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The questionnaires were distributed and answered by 1128 students enrolled in six vocational schools located in Seoul. Convenience sampling was used for this study. The results of this study are as follows: The satisfaction of vocational training positively influenced career adaptability; more specifically, the satisfaction of vocational training had a positive effect on the Initiative and Goal-Orientation of career adaptability. These results provide theoretical and practical implications that various vocational education programs and job experience programs are needed for the SMEs in the future.

This study examined the relations between home-environment, mother´s vacational environment, vocational sense and the career maturity of their child in girls high school. Also the study tried to help the children find the proper vocation and to guide them in school. The subjects of this were 514 couples of mothers and their children in girl´s school (2nd grade) living in In-cheon. Statistics used for data analysis are Frequency, Percentage, One-way ANOVA, DMR(Ducn´s Multiple Range Test), T-test and Pearson´s correlation coefficient. The main results were as follows: 1. To think of the career maturity of child in home-environment variable, it differed significant-ly by mother´s standard of education and father´s vocation. 2. According to the mother´s vocational environment variablees, career maturity of child differed significantly by work-state the degree of vocational satisfication. 3. To think of the general tendency of mother´s view of vocation the attitude of choosing vocaion is independent whether mother has work or not. The attitude of work and sex-role is openhearted whether mother has work or not. The attitude of work-value is more important in the case of mother´s having work. The attitude of work-respect is formal in both case. In general whether mother has work or not there´s no difference in the mother´s vocational sense. 4. The corelations between the mother´s vocational sense and career maturity differed significantly by the attitude of chdoosing vocation. 5. The career maturity of high school student differed significantly whether they are commercial high school student or academic high school student. Based on the findings it is recommended the mother´s age the standard of education the degree of vocational satisfication and the view of vocation are more influenced on the child´s career maturity than the mother´s work itself.
