Change of Cardiovascular Function of Industrial Workers Apply to Lumbar Stabilization Exercise according to the Floor Type (지면의 상태에 따른 요부안정화운동 적용 시 산업체 근로자의 심혈관기능 변화)

  • This study conducted the following experiment to examine effects of cardiovascular function on lumbar stabilization exercise(LSE) in floor or swiss ball. This experiment was conducted to compare heart rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and peripheral vascular oxygen saturation effects by lumbar stabilization exercise in floor or swiss ball with 18 normal adult and it divided 9 subjects. experiment group (1) is applying LSE on floor group and (2) is applying LSE on swiss ball group. Heart rate was measured by portable heart rate manometer, blood pressure was measured by hemodynamometer, and peripheral vascular oxygen concentration was measured using a computerized NURYTEC measuring apparatus analysis. These result lead us to the conclusion that systolic blood pressure and peripheral vascular oxygen concentration were influenced by LSE. but there was not differential effect between each groups. These results suggest that LSE has the capability to improve heart rate, blood pressure, peripheral vascular oxygen concentration. Consequently, LSE would be lead to increment of cardiovascular function.

The effects of CPR Knowledge, Attitude, and Self-efficacy on the Basic Life Support course for healthcare provider Education in Nursing Students (의료인을 위한 기본 심폐소생술 교육이 간호대학생의 심폐소생술에 대한 지식, 태도 및 자기효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of Basic Life Support course for healthcare provider education in nursing students on CPR knowledge, attitude and self-efficacy. This study was a one group pre-post design and the data were collected from 69 nursing students, July 11 to August 1, 2020 at a college in the J city. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, paired t-test using SPSS 20.0. CPR program was significantly increasing CPR knowledge(t=-14.71, p<.001), attitude(t=-7.33, p<.001), and self-efficacy(t=-6.63, p<.001). Base on this study, it is suggested that basic life support education program will be continued and need to study using various method of eduction, effect period.

Effect of Lifestyle Modification Program on Blood Pressure Improvement in Patients with Hypertension (고혈압 환자에서 생활습관 개선 프로그램의 혈압개선효과)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to know different effect with uncontrolled hypertension patients after providing health promotion program which consisted with medicine, exercise, nutrition. Methods: The subjects of this study was comprised by uncontrolled hypertension patients in spite of medication and didn't care the pressure by medication. The health promotion program was progressed by group exercise three times a week, nutrition education once a week and medical consultation once a month for 12 weeks. Subjects were measured for body composition(weight, fat mass, % body fat and body mass index), hemo-dynamics(systolic blood pressure(SBP), diastolic blood pressure(DBP), and resting heart rate), and physical fitness (cardiopulmonary endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, balance, and flexibility). Results: Groups showed significant improvement in every measure except resting heart rate. SBP is decreased both taking drug group about 18.4mmHg and without taking drug group about 19.4mmHg.(p<0.001) DBP is decreased both taking drug group about 8.7mmHg and without taking drug group about 9.0 mmHg.(p<0.001) Conclusion: There are no statistical significant differences of SBP and DBP decreasing effects by medication, Since effects of decreasing pressure are not different by medication, I think the health promotion program is effective to uncontrolled hypertension patients to decrease pressure.

Effects of Simulation-based Training for Basic Life Support Utilizing Video-assisted Debriefing on Non-Technical and Technical Skills of Nursing Students (비디오 디브리핑을 이용한 기본소생술 시뮬레이션 교육이 간호학생의 비기술적 술기와 기술적 술기 수행능력에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of simulation-based training (SBT) for basic life support (BLS) utilizing video-assisted debriefing (VAD) about non-technical skills (NTSs) and technical skills (TSs). The goal of the proposed study is the evaluation of a teaching method about the correct application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Methods: The study design was a control group pre- and post-test non-synchronized experimental design. The sample included twelve teams of 36 nursing students. Both the experimental and the control groups received the SBT for BLS. Only the experimental groups received VAD where as the control groups had a verbal debriefing. Raters who used checklists for TSs and NTSs evaluated both groups. Data were analyzed by the SPSS 20.0 using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC), Mann-Whitney U test and Willcoxon signed rank test. Results: The experimental groups scored higher than the control groups in both TSs (p=.004) and the NTSs (p=.008). Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that NTSs are an important factor that lead CPR successfully, so VAD can be used as an efficient teaching-learning strategy in the SBT for BLS for nursing students and nurses.

Effect of power resistance intervention on fitness and muscle mass and short physical performance battery in older women adults (파워 저항운동이 여성노인의 체력, 근육량 및 단기운동수행력에 미치는 영향)

  • The present study aimed the effects of power resistance training(PRT) on fitness, muscle mass and short physical performance battery(SPPB) elderly women. Thirty older woman(aged 70 over years) were divided in two groups : PRT(n=15) and traditional resistance training(TRT)(n=15). The volunteers trained three times a week, during 12weeks. Both groups performed an equal work output with load red color thera-band. Three sets of twelve repetitions of each exercise were performed with rest intervals of 60s between sets. According to the results. Main fitness were significantly difference in grip strength(TRT) and cardiopulmonary. Muscle was not significantly difference. And Timed up and go and 400m walking(TRT) were significantly difference. There is sufficient effects on between training method in fitness, SPPB but PRT training may yield better results compared with TRT.

Retention Effect of Basic Life Support Education Program on Attitude, Knowledge, Skillfulness for Nursing Students (간호학생의 기본 심폐소생술에 대한 태도, 지식, 능숙도에 미치는 교육의 지속효과)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify the retention effects of a basic life support training program for nursing students on their attitude, knowledge, and skillfulness. Methods: A one-group repeated posttest design was employed for this study. The subjects included 44 junior nursing students from Gachon University in Incheon. Data were collected by a structured questionnaire test immediately after, 3 months after, 6 months after, and 9 months after the training respectively from May 2014 through March 2015. Results: The respective attitude, knowledge and skillfulness score on BLS of the nursing students had reduced significantly at 3 months after (p<.001), 6 months after (p<.001), and 9 months after (p<.001, p=.011 for Attitudes) the training compared to immediately after the training. Conclusion: Re-training on basic life support for nursing students should be implemented within 3 months for retention of educational effects. Thus, it is recommended that basic life support training programs, including a curriculum for nursing students, is developed to support re-training. And it is expected that the improved skills of nursing students on basic life support would contribute to the successive first aid nursing for patients at risk of cardiac arrest.

Antiinflammatory and Myocardial Protective Effects of Magnesium in Patents Undergoing Valvular Heart Surgery (심장판막 수술 시 마그네슘의 항염증 및 심근보호 효과)

  • We have investigated whether the supplement of magnesium to cold blood cardioplegia improves myocardial protection. Sixty patients scheduled for elective valvular heart surgery were randomly assigned to a control group (n=30) which received conventional cold blood cardioplegia and an Mg group (n=30) which received cold blood cardioplegia supplemented with 2 g of magnesium sulfate. Electrolytes levels including $Mg^{++}$, hematological and biochemical variables, cytokines, myocardial marker levels, and postoperative outcomes were compared between two groups before, during or idler operation. $Mg^{++}\;and\;Ca^{++}$ levels in the Mg group were higher than those of the control group after surgery. The total WBC counts, CK-MB, troponin-I and Interleukin-6 levels in the Mg group were lower than those of the control group after surgery. Postoperative incidence of atrial fibrillation was lower in the Mg group compared with the control group. These results showed that $Mg^{++}$ attenuated inflammatory reaction, myocardial damage, and hypomagnesemia during valvular surgery and reduced postoperative arrhythmia incidence without side effects.

The Effects of Resting Physical Factors on Distance and Intensity of Six-Minute Walk Test in Healthy Female Subjects

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the correlations among the resting physical factors related to a six-minute walk test (6MWT) and to determine the effects of the resting physical factors on the distance and intensity related to the 6MWT in healthy female subjects. Methods: A total of 43 healthy female subjects ($22.84{\pm}3.90yrs$) participated in this study. They performed the 6MWT, and the physical factors related to the 6MWT were assessed. SPSS 20.0 was used to analyze the data, and the mean and standard deviation were calculated, and the collected data were analyzed by the Pearson's correlation coefficient (among physical factors related to 6MWT) and independent t-test (between six-minute walk distance [6MWD] groups and six-minute walk intensity [6MWI] groups). Results: The 6MWD had a significant negative correlation with the resting HR (beat/min) in healthy female subjects (r=-0.49, p<0.05). The 6MWI had a significant negative correlation with the resting systolic blood pressure (SBP) (r=-0.45, p<0.01). A comparison of the 6MWD revealed the long distance group (LDG, 700-799 m) to be significantly higher than the middle distance group (MDG, 600-699 m) in the 6MWI (%), %predicted distance (%), predicted VO2max (mL/kg/min), resting HR (beat/min), and resting SBP (mmHg)(p<0.05). In the comparison of 6MWI, the moderate intensity group (MIG, 64-75%HRmax) was significantly lower than the low intensity group (LIG, 50-63%HRmax) in the resting SBP (mmHg) (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that the resting physical factors are related to the 6MWD and 6MWI of the 6MWT in healthy females. In particular, SBP is associated with not only the 6MWD but also the 6MWI in 6MWT.

Educational Effectiveness of Elementary School Expressive Activities and Various Convergence Education (초등학교 표현활동과 다양한 융합수업의 교육적 효과)

  • This study was to verify the effects of education in expression activity and various convergence education found in the class scene of one elementary school man teather to research of qualitative pattern and analyzes how it is expanded. This study were made through two class participation observation and six video analysis. In addition, we measured in-depth interviews of participants and students, a 10-week jump band training program, and applied a step-by-step physical activity program to enhance creative expressiveness. Based on the results of the study, the conclusions are as follows. First, It was found that the Jump-band training positively affects the students' speed, agility, and cardiopulmonary endurance. Second, It was found that the application of the step-by-step physical expression activity program had a positive effect on the students themselves. Third, It was found that it has an educational effect on the whole life of students beyond the curriculum and the field by attempting various fusion education. Based on this study, we propose the educational effects of the pre - curricular activities and the convergence lessons in elementary school during the follow - up research.

The Effects of Emergency Medical Education Center on Teachers' Knowledge, Attitude and Self-Efficacy on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

  • This study is to investigate the effect of CPR education on the knowledge, attitude, and self-efficacy of kindergarten, elementary, and secondary teachers. For the study, a total of 176 kindergartens, elementary schools, and secondary school teachers in J province who received CPR education at an Emergency Medical Education Center from March 21 to June 20, 2023 were surveyed. For the collected data, SPSS WIN 20.0 was used to analyze general characteristics, knowledge, attitude, self-efficacy, and educational program effects. As a result of the study, the knowledge score after education (t=-15.93, p<.001), attitude score (t=-5.11, p<.001), self-efficacy score (t=-12.52, p<.001) was significantly increased. After the education by experts, knowledge, attitude, and self-efficacy improved, and it is thought that the increase in knowledge increased attitude and self-efficacy. This is a result proving that the CPR education of the Emergency Medical Education Center was effective. Therefore, it is necessary to find ways for effective CPR education.
