회전형 종동절을 갖는 드럼 캠의 5-축 CNC 가공 - I (황삭가공을 위한 포스트 프로세싱) (5-Axis CNC Machining for Drum Cam with Rotational Follower - I (Post Processing Method for Rough Machining))

  • The drum cam with rotational follower is used to apply the ATC and index table of machine tools and it has the merit of minimizing the backlash. In general, to machine the drum cam with rotational follower, 5-axis CNC machine must be used and its kinematic principle must be included in modeling on CAM. So, the commercialized CAM software can't be applied to this machining of drum cam. Though some special software for machining drum cam was developed, it could be applied to special 5-axis CNC machine tools and the finish machining module was not applied. To solve this problem, this study includes the induction of the post processing algorithm for the rough machining of drum cam on several 5-axis CNC machine tools, type AC, AB and Be. The finish machining software will be treated in next study. A sample drum cam was machined on 5-axis CNC machine tool of AC type. The designed geometric profile of drum cam consist to the measured profile after machining well. This post processing algorithm for rough machining of the drum cam was clearly verified.

  • 본 연구에서는 지중내에 설치한 매설관에 작용하는 응력-변형 특성을 분석하였다. 연약지반의 수축과 팽창특성을 고려할 수 있는 Egg-Cam Clay 모델을 소개하였다. 기존에 사용하던 Cam Clay 모델은 연약지반의 수축 및 팽창 특성을 고려하지 못하는 단점이 있기 때문에 Cam Clay 모델을 수정하여 Egg-Cam Clay 모델을 제안하였다. 이와는 별도로 지중내의 매설관에 작용하는 응력-변형을 감소시키기 위하여 지오그리드, EPS 지오폼을 매설관과 함께 설치하였다. 탄소성모델을 이용하여 현장에 시험시공한 여러 단면에 유한요소해석한 결과 긍정적인 효과를 얻었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 OHC형 캠-밸브 기구의 6자유도 집중 질량계 모델을 기본으로 하고, 밸브변위와 선회종동자(oscillating-follower or finger-follower)의 동적 스트 레인을 측정하여 모델의 타당성을 검증하고, 또 최적화 기법을 도입하여 밸브 개폐시 기, 밸브변위 그리고 최소 접촉력 등을 구속조건으로 주고 캠과 종동자 사이의 최대 접촉력을 최소화 시키도록 최적 캠 형상을 설계하였다. 그리고 설계된 캠을 정밀 가 공하여 최적화 설계의 타당성 및 접촉력을 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

A Survey of Medical Students' Opinions about Complementary and Alternative Medicine

  • Objective: To determine second, third and fourth-year medical students' opinions and knowledge related to complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) in a school with no requirement or elective course on the subject. Study Design: A questionnaire was offered to second, third and fourth-year medical students of the Medical College of Kosin University from August 7th, through August 30th, 2003. Results: Most students had been exposed to CAM therapies, knew that the majority of the South Korean public was using CAM, believed that some CAM interventions were useful, and did not believe CAM therapies were a threat to public health. Only one fifth of the students(22.5%) disagreed that they had to have requirement or elective course on CAM in their curriculum. Most students had insufficient knowledge or understanding of the safety or lack of it for ten of the more common CAM modalities. Most respondents thought these interventions were useful, but would not refer a patient nor dissuade a patient from seeking out such interventions. Conclusion: Medical students in this school self-identified an interest about the clinical usefulness of ten CAM modalities, but did not have sufficient knowledge about the safety for ten of the more common CAM modalities. Including CAM topics in the medical school curriculum would better prepare physicians to respond to patient inquiries about CAM and thereby to fulfill their role as patient advocates.

향상된 캠쉬프트를 사용한 실시간 얼굴추적 방법 (Real-time Face Tracking Method using Improved CamShift)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 얼굴 추적을 위하여 기존의 CamShift 알고리즘의 단점을 보완한 새로운 CamShift 알고리즘을 제안한다. 배경 내 추적 객체와 색상이 유사한 객체가 존재할 경우 기존 CamShift 알고리즘은 불안정한 추적을 보여준다. 이러한 문제점을 화소 단위로 거리정보를 획득할 수 있는 Kinect의 깊이 정보와 HSV 색공간 기반의 피부색 후보영역을 추출하는 Skin Detection 알고리즘을 이용하여 색상분포만 이용하는 기존의 CamShift의 단점을 보완한다. 또한 추적하던 객체가 사라지거나 가려짐이 발생할 경우에도 다시 추적할 수 있는 특징점 기반의 매칭 알고리즘을 통하여 차폐영역에 강인한 특성을 가지게 한다. 이러한 향상된 CamShift 알고리즘을 사람의 얼굴 추적에 적용함으로써 다양한 분야에 활용 가능한 강인한 얼굴추적 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 실험결과 제안하는 알고리즘은 기존의 추적 알고리즘인 TLD보다 월등히 빠른 처리속도와 더 우수한 추적성능을 보여주었고, CamShift 보다 조금 느리지만 기존의 CamShift가 가지고 있는 문제점들을 해결하였다.

  • This paper presents the deformation characteristics of cam ring in a balanced type vane pump. Cam ring is operated in the condition of high pressure. Therefore the local deformation of cam ring affects the characteristics of compression, vane motion and noise and vibration. We analyzed the deformation of cam ring in three types by using the finite element method. As results of analysis, deformed shape of cam ring and the effects of deformation on the compression are presented.

  • This paper aims to work process of connecting rod die using CAD/CAM/CNC systems. CAD/CAM/CNC systems are consist of CAD(MDT4.0), CAM(Z-MASTER) software and CNC milling machine. CAM software is purpose to G-code generation for CNC programming. Then CAM software and CNC milling machine are connect to RS-232-C cable for data network.

  • A CAM program for forming design Automated of CAM for Spring using car was developed in this study. This program was written in AUTO LISP on the AUTO CAD system with a personal. An approach to the system is based on the kinemateic of the object function. We make a determination of an cam programming. A CAM spline is continuous in displacement. velocity and acceleration. This program which can design Coil Spring shapes will successfully support CAN designing and manufacturing for Small & Medium companies.

  • Survey has been made to evaluate technological level and to identify research issues in CAD/CAM area. It is found out that major users of the CAD/CAM system are in mechanical and electronics as well as garment industries. Their experience shows that the impact of the CAD/CAM introduction is not yet noticeable in drafting man power and cost reduction. It is identified that the low penetration rate of CAD/CAM technology in industry is due to the lack of locally developed CAD/CAM softwares.

생산효율의 향상을 위한 설계정보의 재사용이 가능한 CAD/CAM 시스템 개발 (Development of CAD/CAM System with Reusable Design Information for Improving Production Efficiency)

  • High efficiency production requires the improved performance of CAD/CAM system. Although the CAD and CAM have been significantly developed over the last three decades, they must still study on the reuse of information during process. In this study, we developed a new integrated CAD/CAM system which can reuse the information generated in previous processes, in order to improve its performance. In addition, the developed system was verified by comparing with working-time, and system reproducibility was also examined with tolerance in the unmanned operation. Experimental results showed 58% reduction in working-time of 2D Auto-CAM module, 80% in case of 3D Auto-Exchange module, and 54.5% in case of Auto-Design module.
