국내 방화규정에 따른 건축물 방화구획 성능 및 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance and the Improving Methods of the Building Fire Compartment under the Domestic Fire Safety Regulations)

  • Recently, the buildings have gradually become higher, more massive and more complex with high growth of economy and varieties of the patterns of people's living. Therefore we study a performance and Improving Methods of the fire compartment as a measure to minimize the damage of the people and property from the fire. Currently, under the economic crisis situation, we do not consider about prevention of disaster safety enough; safety investment evasion, safety carelessness, and management relaxation etc. Also in the aspect of regulation system, industrial technology and plan engineering, Korean techniques of preventing fire disasters are far behind of other advanced nations. At this point, we are in need of improving about it. When considering like this situation, we need more studies on the practical improvement in order to assure fire prevention for buildings. The fire compartment prevent from magnifying the fire to the wide area by compartment into specific area. From this, it is possible to minimize fire damage and property and secure emergency exit for life safety. This fire compartment has primary function to extinguish fire easily, and the openings and penetrations are important passage which makes the smoke and fire go away from the fire area to the contiguous space. This study suggests improving methods of domestic fire compartment efficiency standard through comparative analysis of overseas advanced provision and domestic provision about base element of the building fire prevention.

  • In Korea, the concentration of cities has led to the high-rise and deep-rise of buildings. In the case of such high-rise buildings, there is a high risk of fire, and the number of internal fires expanding to the outside continues to increase. The Korean Building Act continues to change the ban on combustible exterior materials, and combustible exterior materials are currently not available for buildings with three stories or more than 9 meters, and detailed test standards for finishing materials are also strengthened after the Ulsan residential and commercial fires in 2020. However, the path of fire in the actual building is through a series of processes in which the fire in the compartment grows internally and expands through openings supplied with ventilation factors. Therefore, other than just external materials, design criteria for embedded materials also need to be established. The purpose of this study is to compare standards for internal and external materials at home and abroad and to secure basic data for fire safety design of buildings based on them.

  • The number of fires in the Korean distribution warehouse increased by about 350 from 1,070 in 2014 to 1,416 in 2020. In addition, the fire load increases with the scale of the distribution warehouse, and even if the automatic sprinkler operates, there is a limit to the direct intrusion of the water source into the ignition source, and the detector is often installed on a high ceiling. The sensing time is often delayed. In order to improve the fire safety of such distribution warehouses, the US NFPA stipulates in detail the contents related to the facility, such as sprinkler water discharge standards, rack-type warehouse installation height restrictions, and regulations on collection and equipment. However, in Japan, the goods loaded inside the distribution warehouse are not classified in detail, and it is considered that the fire safety for the distribution warehouse is low due to the relaxation regulations of the fire prevention section. Therefore, in this study, common problems are classified into material, spatial, and safety management characteristics through the cases of distribution warehouse fires that occurred in Korea and abroad, and the problems related to distribution warehouses in Korea and abroad are compared and analyzed. And present basic materials for improving the life safety standards of future distribution warehouse facilities.

목조 문화재 건축물의 화재 방재를 위한 조사 연구 (A Study on the Methods of Fire-Safety in Cultural Property Wooden Buildings)

  • The prevention of disasters in cultural property is very important management and historical duties. The reason can't be measured values with monetary scale of our contemporary. Therefore, this paper was considered fire-safety as one of terrible threat-disasters about the wooden buildings. This research deal with 47 cases cultural property wooden building by whole investigation(field survey and interview) in Gangnung province. The most buildings have basic fire extinguisher; ABC powder. A few buildings are rarely installed fire extinguishing equipments; outdoor fire hydrant, heat sensor, ground sprinkler, CO2-hose-reel. But these state is very insufficient for the fire-safety in cultural property wooden buildings. Specially as particular attention in province, forest fire of regional characteristic have close relation with cultural property fire. The majority of factor against forest and building fire is to provide monitoring and security system; CCTV, Fence, Sensor, Alarm and paid guard man against incendiary. Ultimately it is necessary to construct comprehensive disaster prevention system with the organic cooperation such as National Emergency Management Agency, Cultural Heritage Administration, Forest Service, local government officials and regional citizen.

건설현장 화재예방에 관한 연구 - 용접작업을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Fire Prevention of the Construction Sites)

  • Current fire safety in the construction sites has developed piecemeal over a considerable period of time. However, the law and regulation of fire safety is insufficient to protect fro in the construction sites. The frequency of fire in the construction sites is very rare but it brings longterm deterioration durability of building structure and large scale industrial calamity. There are many process of works and each work deals with many kind of flammable material, so it is very difficult to find a proper safety fire prevention. This study executed the questionnaire and fire experiment of the welding work to provide effective fire prevention counterplan.

건물 내 고체연료 화재에 대한 설계화재곡선 예측성능 평가 (Evaluation of the Prediction Performance of Design Fire Curves for Solid Fuel Fire in a Building Space)

  • 건물형태의 공간 내에서 발생한 고체연료 화재에 대해 Fire dynamics simulator (FDS)을 이용하여 설계화재곡선의 예측성능을 실험결과와 비교하여 평가하였다. FDS의 연소모델로서는 EDC 2-step mixing controlled를 적용하였으며 검토된 설계화재곡선들은 기존 연구들에서 제안한 2-stage design fire (TDF) 곡선, Quadratic 및 Exponential design fire 곡선들이다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 건물 내 연기 전파과정이 설계화재곡선에 많은 영향을 받는 것을 확인하였다. 설계화재곡선을 이용한 시뮬레이션은 건물 내 실험온도결과에 대해 합리적으로 예측하고 TDF가 가장 온도를 무난하게 예측하는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 각 설계화재곡선의 화학종 농도에 대한 예측은 실험과 충분히 예측하지 못하는 것을 확인하였다. 이점은 본 연구에서 사용한 연소모델은 고체연료 화재에 대한 시뮬레이션에 적합하지 않음을 나타내며 고체연료의 예측에 대한 FDS 연소모델에 대한 연구가 추가적으로 필요해 보인다.

소손된 배선용 차단기 동작상태에 의한 전기화재 규명의 신뢰성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Authoritativeness of Electric Fire by Activating of Fire Damaged MCCB)

  • In the fire there are fusion signs and damage by fire, and insulation aging and carbonization of the electric wiring in the ignition spot because of special characteristic of the appliance in the electricity fire. Because of the physical factor applied in the damage of fire, the decision of ignition spot by eye investigation is insufficient. In this paper, the cause of electricity fire is researched. The focus is on the operation state of operated MCCB(Molded Case Circuit Breaker) at the time of electricity fire. Through grasping the operation principle of MCCB and the experiment, the state of MCCB after fire suppression is discriminated. The distinction possibility on the exist of electricity fire is proposed.

  • Korean apartment buildings have been manhattanized and enlarged, but it caused increase of fire accidents. Fire accidents such as Uijeongbu apartment fire(2015), and Ssangmoon apartment fire(2016) caused many deads because of a lack of emergency exit route awareness. Follow to advanced research, conducted suervey on fire safety awareness. On this study, it will present the basic data based on the result of the survey to secure the life.

  • The paper compares the statutory requirements for the design mid construction of primary schools in Korea and Scotland with respect to fire safety and examines the attitudes to, and the behavior in, evacuation scenarios of Primary school Pupils in both countries. The key behavioral issues examined are the effectiveness of fire safety training, the level of teacher dependency, the effect of spatial organization and gender differences both within and between Korea and Scotland.

건물형 전통시장 화재발생시 피난안전성 확보를 위한 규모별 주요구조부 내화보강 연구 (A Study on the Enhancement of Fire Resistance Function in Primary Structure Department of Building Type Traditional Market)

  • 본 연구는 건물형 전통시장의 화재 시뮬레이션을 통해 실내온도를 도출하여 온도구배를 이용하여 주요구조부의 온도를 산출하여 구조체 한계온도에 도달하는 시간과, 피난 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 도출 된 피난완료시간을 비교하여 피난안전성을 평가하였다. 피난안전성이 확보되지 않는 건축물의 주요구조부재에 내화보강을 0.01~0.035 m 두께로 실시하는 것을 개선안으로 제시하여 피난안전성을 확보하고자 하였다. 소형과 중형은 내화보강이 0.025 m 이상일 때, 중대형과 대형은 0.035 m 이상 보강시 안전성이 확보되는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 피난안전성의 확보하기 위해선 내화 보강이 적용되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.
