  • The construction industry has become larger and higher in size. The process of high-rise building construction is complicated and has various conditions affecting productivity. Analysing productivity in high-rise buildings is difficult despite the various productivity analysis methods. In this study, data was collected from actual construction site to analyse the productivity of curtain wall operation by means of Work sampling and Method Productivity Delay Model. As a result, this paper suggests advantages and disadvantages deducted from comparing the two productivity analysis methods.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the rational plans of Information Management in the interior finishing work. The results of this study are summarized as follows; I) Analytical survey of actual construction progress of interior finishing work 2) Review of computer-based development in construction planning & information management of interior finishing work 3) Structure of interior finishing work Planning and Management Support System And the expectancies of this paper are that it can be used as efficient data for improvement of system to systematize planning and execution of interior finishing work in korea.

  • These days buildings have more possibilities to occur construction delay as many variables and risks are inherent in them due to the enlargement and complexity. When a project is delayed, it generates extra working expenses and this causes a dispute between the employer and the constructor. Most construction sites conduct emergency construction work to recover the delay of the project duration. When an emergency construction is carried out in the actual construction site, it's necessary to utilize and distribute the proper working groups based on the procedure of successor and predecessor. Many constructions, however, have been going only with more number of work forces and working time. This study suggests a process management optimization plan with an application of emergency construction scenario by using linear programing.

  • Appropriate management of the finish works in construction project is one of most important activities that must be conducted considering the total duration of the project. Masonry work is a fundamental process that is performed in the preliminary steps of finish works. However, it has been investigated that the analysis of delay factors affecting masonry work has been neglected in the domestic construction site. Therefore, this study deducts delay factors affecting masonry work by literature review and survey on site engineers and labors. This study has been conducted as a preliminary step of developing a construction project interference management system which is expected to suggest objective information for the decision making in construction sites.

  • Since 2000s in Korea, apartment building tended to become goods or assets rather than houses. Therefore, conflicts between supplier and consumer were aggravated, and the defect dispute has been increased rapidly. This dispute enlarges to defect lawsuit and it is social and economical matter. The landscape work in apartment building is main work for a resident that appearance and convenient facility which lawn, tree, fountain, chair, playground, and etc. A number of defects surround landscape work are important issue in defect lawsuit, but, a related research is a minority, and a regulation is incomplete. Therefore, this study is basic study for standard of landscape defect type. As case study on defect lawsuit, draw a landscape defect type in apartment building.

  • Globally the interest of large-scale structure has been increasing for the use in various social and cultural events. However various problems for building large-scale structure in South Korea are expected in terms of construction method and site management due to the lack of experience. Construction method and planning significantly affects on making decisions. There are only theoretical approach for constructing large-scale building in domestic with the limited experience of constructing constrained size structure. Through Analytic Hierarchy Process with experts, derived decision factors mostly used construction method in construction of large-scale structure. Derived factors from this study will support making decisions for field management in constructing large-scale structure.

  • With the increase of tall building construction, efforts for enhancing constructability are required from the pre-construction stage. Therefore, in this study, we proposed an evaluation method of constructability performance by performing construction engineering activities at the design phase. Based on some results of previous studies, we estimated the importance of design factors and categories influencing the constructability in each engineering activity related to temporary work and then presented a method for evaluating the constructability performance of design alternatives.

  • In the modern age. Building is getting higher and larger according to owner and social demands. Now when we are facing the need of the cost down and the reduction of economic loss. In this paper, the characteristics of the present conditions of site management were investigated with the field survey. And The Purpose of this study is to suggest the rational plans of construction planning in site management. The method of site management. however depends on experience of a construction manager. in order to solve this situation, it is necessary to create a method of site management that is adequate for the condition of construction. By cultivating excellent sub contractors, we can expect precise construction with a few experts. improvement in qualify of construction from standardization, computerization of each process. And the expectancies of this paper are that it can be used as efficient data for improvement of system to systematize site management work in Korea.

지하층 도막방수공사의 중점관리요인 (Critical Management Factors of Fluid-Applied Membrane Waterproofing Work for building basements)

  • 건축공사 중 인간에게 많은 영향을 미치는 습기와 물에 대한 피해로부터 주거 생활을 보호하는 성능을 가진 것이 방수공사이다. 건축 방수공사의 하자로 인한 보수비는 방수층 자체의 보수비용뿐만 아니라 연계공종의 피해로 인한 연계공종의 보수비용 또한 추가되어, 방수공사의 전체적인 보수비용은 더욱 높아진다. 하지만, 방수공사의 하자를 미연에 방지할 수 있는 정량적이고 효율적인 관리방안이 부족한 실정이다. 기존 문헌 고찰과 사례 분석 결과, 지하층 방수공사 하자가 빈번하게 나타났으며, 여러 공법 중 도막방수가 가장 많이 사용되고 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 지하층 도막방수공사에 대한 하자 사례분석을 하였으며, 이를 미연에 방지하기 위한 방안으로 FMEA(Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) 기법을 변형한 R-FMEA 방법을 고안하였다. R-FMEA 쉬트에 대한 전문가 설문을 통하여 지하층 도막방수공사 하자 유형 중 가장 위험성이 큰 방수공사 하자 유형을 도출하여, 중요하게 관리되어야 하는 요인들을 도출하였다.
