  • In order to investigate the effects of crystal structure in electrical breakdown of polyethylene film. Low molecular materials in polyethylene are removed by the method as follow. Polyethylene was dissolved in xylene and filtered through a glass fiber filter. And then, a polyethylene thin films of thickness $0.5 - 0.9{\mu}m$ are prepared with heat treatment from solution casting. To evaluate the performance of PE film, Electrical breakdown of PE film are measured on M( Al) - I (PE)-M(Al) system.

  • In this study, in order to improve the problem that dielectric breakdown strength decrease remarkably at high temperature, simultaneous interpenetrating polymer networks method was Introduced so that epoxy insulating material could have stable temperature characteristics and stable dielectric breakdown characteristics at whole temperature range. So network structure of epoxy/$SiO_2$ composite material was changed by adding MA and MA/PU into epoxy resin. DC voltage is applied into the specimen fabricated by this method, and then the result was compared and investigated.

  • Charge compensation effects in multi-resurf structure make possible to obtain high breakdown volatage and low on-resistance in vertical MOSFET. In this paper, electrical characteristics of the vertical MOSFET with multi epitaxial layer is presented. Proposed device has n and p-pillar for obtaining the charge compensation effects and The doping concentration each pillar is varied from $5{\times}10^{14}\;to\;1{\times}10^{16}/cm^3$. The thickness of the proposed device also varied from $400{\mu}m\;to\;500{\mu}m$. Due to the charge compensation effects, 4500V of breakdown voltage can be obtained.

  • Kinetic data of the Zn(Ⅱ) ion-catalyzed hydrolysis of 2-acetylpyridineketoximyl acetate (S) are measured. The reaction proceeds through the accumulation of an intermediate (I). 2-Acetylpyridineketoxime (Ox) is released in the breakdown step of I. Phenol is not formed as a part of the products, and, therefore, diphenyl phosphate and Ox are produced by the breakdown of I. Based on the dependence of the rates for the formation and the breakdown of I on [Zn(Ⅱ)] and pH, and considering the UV spectral properties of I, the structure of I is tentatively assigned as the penta-covalent intermediate formed by the addition of a water molecule to S.

  • The offshore structures exposed to harsh corrosive such as the marine environment is essential for the quality management technique throughout the life cycle of initial design, construction and operation. Also, it should satisfy the design life and ensure the safety of the substructure with optimization of design process. This study focused on optimization of design condition for corrosion protection of wind turbine structure and computational analyzing was performed to evaluate the performance of corrosion protection with utilizing practical experimental data. We expect this analytical study contribute to improve the corrosion maintenance stability and economical efficiency of designing wind turbine structures. As a result, the design of cathodic protection system using sacrificial anodes required accurate identification of current density in order to meet the long term design life, which can be seen that a change of structure surface's coating breakdown factor is one of the key influencing factors.

  • The high-tech industry, a leader in the national economy, has a larger investment cost compared to general buildings, a shorter construction period, and requires continuous investment. Therefore, accurate construction cost prediction and quick decision-making are important factors for efficient cost and process management. Overseas, the construction information classification system has been standardized since 1980 and has been continuously developed, improving construction productivity by systematically collecting and utilizing project life cycle information. At domestic construction sites, attempts have been made to standardize the classification system of construction information, but it is difficult to achieve continuous standardization and systematization due to the absence of a standardization body and differences in cost and process management methods for each construction company. Particular, in the case of the high-tech industry, the standardization and systematization level of the construction information classification system for high-tech facility construction is very low due to problems such as large scale, numerous types of work, complex construction and security. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to construct a construction information classification system suitable for high-tech facility construction through collection, classification, and analysis of related project data constructed in Korea. Based on the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and CBS (Cost Breakdown Structure) classified and analyzed through this study, a code system through hierarchical classification was proposed, and the cost model of buildings by linking WBS and CBS was three-dimensionalized and the utilized method was presented. Through this, an information classification system based on inter-relationships can be developed beyond the one-way tree structure, which is a general construction information classification system, and effects such as shortening of construction period and cost reduction will be maximized.

High Breakdown-Voltage AlGaN/GaN High Electron Mobility Transistor having a Trapezoidal Gate Structure (사다리꼴 게이트 구조를 갖는 고내압 AlGaN/GaN HEMT)

  • We propose a trapezoidal gate AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistor(HEMT) to improve the breakdown voltage characteristics and its feasibility is investigated by two-dimensional device simulations. The use of a trapezoidal gate structure appears to be quite effective in dispersing the electric fields concentrated near the gate edge on the drain side from the simulation result. We find that a peak value of the electric field along the 2-DEG channel is reduced by 30%, from 4.8 to 3.5 MV/cm and thereby, the breakdown voltage(Vbr) of the proposed AlGaN/GaN HEMT is increased by about 40%, from 49 to 69 V, compared to those of the standard AlGaN/GaN HEMT.

  • Recently, it has increased projects in the Oil and Gas industry as growing plant of overseas construction market. Therefore, domestic companies need to set some aggressive plans up that secure competitiveness of international plant business such as enhancing productivity, technological ability and statistical management. Specifically in the Oil and Gas industry of overseas plant business requires implying information in EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction, below EPC) more, but it has not been suggested an appropriate breakdown system for contents that manages the information each EPC phase, which lead to problems such as revision of design document, occurring duplicated work and omissions of each participant. For these problems, we find market share decreasing and competitiveness running down. Thus, for increasing practical use of contents management system and construction industry's information, this paper suggests a contents breakdown system based on BPM (Business Process Management), defines business process and systematizing knowledge needed, and finally analyzing contents information that establish information among industrial facilities in Design phase which is the weakest part of domestic companies.

Conceptual WBS Model for a Large-Scale Information System Acquisition Project (대규모 정보시스템 개발 프로젝트를 위한 개념적 작업분담구조도의 모형화에 관한 연구)

  • Over the past decade, the topic of work breakdown structure (WBS) has gained an increasing amount of attention from information technology Professionals as an effective tool for managing the complexity of a large-scale information system development project. It is a method for planning and controlling a large-scale information system development. A WBS provides the basis for project organization, cost estimation, task scheduling, and contract management. Based on the authors' practical experience, this paper discusses how to establish a specific WBS and some considerations for developing a well-defined WBS. The model of WBS suggested in this study will provide useful insight and guidelines for establishing the spec-ific WBS for a large-scale information systems development.

  • Considering that our construction market is recognizing the necessity of EVMS(Earned Value Management System) and that the EVMS will be applied to the construction projects with large scale. the suggested methodologies to link WBS(Work Breakdown Structure) with EVMS results and the developed web-based EVMS can be a tentative system for practical application.
