  • Robust knapsack problem appears when dealing with data uncertainty on the knapsack constraint. This note presents a generalization of the cover inequality for the problem with its lifting procedure. Specifically, we show that the lifting can be done in a polynomial time as in the usual knapsack problem. The results can serve as a building block in devising an efficient branch-and-cut algorithm for the general robust (0, 1) IP problem.

  • Interventional cardiology is a branch of the medical specialty of cardiology that deals specifically with the catheter based treatment of structural heart diseases. A large number of procedures can be performed on the heart by catheterization. Although many cardiac diseases requiring open heart surgery are currently treated with cardiac interventions in human medicine, interventional cardiology is relatively recently introduced in veterinary medicine. Therefore, in this lecture, several interventional methods for various diseases of small animals, more focusing on interventional methods in heart diseases will be discussed.

  • Computation with fuzzy numbers is a prospective branch of a fuzzy set theory regarding the data processing applications. In this paper we consider an open problem about distributivity of fuzzy Quantities based on the extension principle suggested by Mares (1997). Indeed, we show that the distributivity on the class of fuzzy numbers holds and min-norm is the only continuous f-norm which holds the distributivity under f-norm based fuzzy arithmetic operations.

  • Researchers in marketing, sociology, and economics have been interested in the role of social interactions in consumer choice and consumption behaviors. Social interactions, labeled variously as peer effects, social contagion, and neighborhood effects, have important implications for firms' allocation of marketing efforts. In this research, we test and provide empirical evidence for peer effects in consumers' service usage in the context of gym-going behaviors. Using a detailed individual-level membership and attendance data at one of the largest health club chains in the U.S., we document that a focal member's gym-going behavior is influenced by the behaviors and characteristics of the peers at the same branch

  • We have carried out a survey of T Tauri stars (TTSs) in a 1,800-square-degrees region toward the Taurus-Auriga star forming region with the AKARI Mid-Infrared All-Sky Survey. By combination of AKARI, 2MASS, and UCAC surveys, we created new criteria to chose TTS candidates. We also considered Asymptotic Giant Branch stars and galaxies, which have similar infrared colors, to separate TTSs from these sources. On the basis of our criteria, we find 27 new TTS candidates. To verify our criteria, we performed follow-up observations for them and confirmed that 23 are TTSs.

  • This paper is concerned with 'reverse difference' of marine sediments at the Camau tongue in the extreme south of Vietnam. We demonstrate the importance of remote sensing in geomorphology and marine geological application, using only visual evaluation and some data-processing techniques. In this paper, about 10,000 km$^2$ of the territorial water in the extreme south of Vietnam is being studied. We show that form and behavior of Mekong and its branch can be determined by visually interpreting remote sensing images and using ERDAS IMAGE 8.5 software. Besides, the 'reverse difference' phenomenon is explained by flows of Mekong river and its branches.

  • We proposed a new system to collect hyperspectral data using a general cargo crane. The system has advantageous characteristics for precise data collection and analysis. In order to evaluate the validity, we performed the system on actual rice paddy field and analyzed the observed data. On the process, we could successfully extract the pure vegetation spectrum with high stability. The data taken by the system are useful for detail analysis among fields. In future development, it can be used for obtaining the grand truth for calibrating satellite or aerial hyperspectral images.

  • A superior electrophilic substitution reaction medium that is non-toxic, relatively less corrosive, and non-volatile electrophilic substitution reaction to afford high molecular weight linear and hyperbranched polyetherketones (PEK' s) was developed. The system has very strong driving force to give extra ordinary high molecular weight linear and hyperbranched PEK' s. The reaction medium was further extended to prepare various types of copolymers and covalently grafted polymers onto carbon nanotube (CNT) or carbon nanofiber (CNF). By using characteristic hydrophilic nature of the reaction medium, hyperbranched PEK' s could be synthesized from commercially available $A_3\;+\;B_2$ monomers without network formation via selective solubility of the monomers.

  • Currently the quarter prediction giga it is used SE3208 from EISC ISA [1]] where it does in base. But the prediction which is perfect is difficult improved Pipeline structures and PC the structure which is not Delay to add it decided. Even PC and IF/ID blocks, the area and expense were added, but Bubble without it will be able to control Conditional Branch doors and the possibility of decreasing a help in processor performance improvements.
