According to the increment of urban buildings, the demand of eco-environment space will be also increased. Therefore, the artificial ground green system on a roof will be supplied gradually. In this study, the concept of simplification, unification and prefabrication was widely applied to supply green system. Consequently, the box unit system with a continuous soil layer was developed, and adhesive property, wind resistance and insulation property of this system were evaluated for site application. As a results of adhesive property and wind resistance test, comparing with design wind pressure and wind velocity, this system was safe at the height of 100m building located in urban. In addition, results of temperature measurement for 120 days showed 17% higher insulation property at daytime and 45% higher insulation property at night than normal box unit system owing to continuous soil layer.

A transfer loading system for 21' RF band assembly box was developed in the present study. The weight of a box is approximately 60kgf End total weight of one day job per person is about $4,000kg_f$. For an efficient design and manufacturing process, three dimensional design and engineering technique were applied to the presented system. Motion analysis for a popup unit and structural analysis for belt part subjected to the load of box weight were performed, respectively. It was found that the evasion of duty and labor intensity is reduced after appling the developed system to manufacturing field of small and midium business.

In case of unit testing, White-box test can be used to closely check source code and to analyze logic and statement errors. On the other hand, in case of function testing of system level, Black-box test can be mainly used to compare actual and expected results by inputting test data because the scale of function is large. This Black-Box test in system testing level has problem in tracing errors in source code when we find errors. Moreover applying White-box test is not easy for system testing level because the levels of test target are different. Therefore this paper suggests the vertical test method of a practical and integrated system level which can checks up to source code level using White-box test style although it aims to test the highly abstract level like a system function. In addition, the experiment explains how to apply the vertical test by displaying an example which traces from UML specification model to the source code and also shows efficiency of error trace.

The design of a control unit for a playback-type industrial robot is studied. Implemented for the cylindrical-coordinate type industrial robot with 5 degrees of freedom, the control unit constructed for the study consists of (i) z-80 .mu.p-based .mu.-computer control system (ii) Teach-Box for work command, and (iii) various softwares for generating signals for servo driving unit and operating the robot as playback-type. Softwares are developed by using high level Basic Language and low level z-80 Assembly Language for ease of programming and speed of program execution. To show the effectiveness, and example is included.

The unit commitment is an important problem of production scheduling which determines the generating unit to in service(on/off) during scheduling period, to meet system demand and reserve requirement at minimum cost. This paper presents an box type crossover to improve searching ability of GA, to solve unit commitment problem. Satisfactory results are obtained by GA with the proposed crossover operator.

Precast Concrete apartments were main stream of domestic industrialized housing around 90's , and Steel Houses applying Steel Stud technique with light weighted steel have been dominant portion since 1995. On the other hand, various building techniques including Steel Stud method and highly prefabricated and industrialized Unit method are prevailing in developed countries like Japan. Steel stud and Unit Box have their own merits an demerits, but the more crucial aspect is that the constant design standard should be applied in each design procedure. It entails the necessity of industrial housing development on the Open System basis. In this study, the design standard for Unit house will be established coping with the established preparing standard for design specifications defined by Architectural Law and Promotion Law of Housing Construction. That is for design standard of industrialized private housing on the Open System basis.

New Fabrication Facility (FAB) construction is performed with Building Information Modeling (BIM) based design. The BIM design data keep updated during the FAB construction. To improve fast-track construction management, a Fabrication Facility Augmented Reality (FABAR) was developed. This study introduces a FABAR system development process and shows performance evaluation results of the FABAR prototype system. The FABAR is implemented with three major modules: Augmented Reality (AR) visualization unit (Room-box) to transfer big BIM data to AR data, AR registration and tracking unit to match AR with real scape and to keep AR coordination in real, and AR data management unit to enhance usability. The prototype performance results were as follows: visualization of design BIM data via AR within 24 hours, precise AR registration and tracking registration, and appropriate usability to support FAB construction management at site. The results indicate that the FABAR is applicable for FAB construction management. Especially, the BIM data transformation method using Room-box in this study signifies a new construction management approach using fluctuating BIM design data in the fast track construction condition.

This study attempts to propose the design automation, with the method of unit construction of which the rate of pre-fabrication is the biggest, that can cope with the demand of user on the basis of open-system. Ticky-tacky is the biggest technical problem in suppling industrialization housing. Therefore, we will suggest a basic plan for design automation of unit modular housing which can raise the productivity of industrialization housing by applying open system, utilized by DB of component and unit, and solve the problem concerned about ticky-tacky.

In this paper, optimal design of composite rotor blade cross-section to consider manufacturability was performed. Skin thickness, torsion box thickness and skin lay-up angle were adopted as discrete design variables and The position and width of a torsion box were considered as continuous variables. An object function of optimal design is to minimize the mass of a rotor blade, and various constraints such as failure index, center mass, shear center, natural frequency and blade minimum mass per unit length were adopted. Finally, design variables such as the thickness and lay-up angles of a skin, and the thickness, position and width of a torsion box were determined by using an in-house program developed for the optimal design of rotor blade cross-section.
