  • In the TV manufacturing industry, a demand for chic design of TVs is increasing. As a reult of this trend in TV design, more curved surfaces in a TV cabinet are introduced, which enforces the use of fixers to combine a front cabinet with a TV main body. In this paper, we introduce a robot system for attaching various types of fixers to a TV cabinet. The developed system consists of three main blocks. The first one is the dispensing block, in which transferred cabinet is centered and UV adhesives are dispensed on the cabinet. The second one is the fixer attaching block, in which a cabinet is centered again and fixers are attached to pre-determined places on a cabinet by a robot with several end effectors. The last one is the UV hardening block, in which very strong ultraviolet rays are applied to the cabinet for attaching fixers tightly to the cabinet. The developed system is successfully adopted in a TV manufacturing process.

  • Restriking method is to add to process in order to get the correct size and high precision accuracy of product which is formed in pre-process. This method is widely used at bending work and drawing work. Restriking die is particularly design and used as restriking process is performed. Therefore, production cost is increasing as one process or a two process are added. In this paper, punches and die block of square shell drawing die which could be performed drawing work and restriking process by using only one die are designed in order to solve these factors. The structure of sectional die which can integrate drawing die and restriking die was developed.

  • A block design will be said to have Property C if the concordance matrix can be expressed as a linear combination of Kronecker product of permutation matrices. No matrix inversions are necessary for the intrablock analysis of the block designs which possesses the Property C(Paik, 1985). In this paper, in order to show the Li type PBIB designs possesses the Property C, we suggest the structure of the concordance matrices of Li type PBIB designs are multi-nested block circulant pattern.

  • The analysis of the thin lamination model of the amorphous transformer by FEM requires many region, divisions and much calculating tine, and it has difficulty in calculating for mordern computer. A new method which is simulated by a solid but anisotropic block with the magnetic permeabilities in two orthogonal directions selected to account for the presence of the laminations. [1] Based on this equivalent anisotropic block model, we analyzed the iron loss of the amorphous transformer by FEM, and presented an optimal design example of core dimensions for minimizing the iron loss.

  • In this paper we propose nonparametric tests using optimal weights for umbrella alternatives in a randomized block design. We obtain the optimal weights by maximizing the asymptotic relative efficiency of the proposed test statistics with respect to Mack and Wolf(1981) type test statistic, and investigate asymptotic relative efficiencies of the proposed test statistics using these optimal weights relative to Mack and Wolfe type statistics and linear rank statistic. Throughout simulations for small samples, the proposed test statistic has good powers rather than the other two tests when the block sizes are different.

  • The design and implementation of a Network Processor using System-on-a-chip(SoC) technology is presented. The proposed network processor can handle several protocols as well as various types of traffics simultaneously. The proposed SoC consists of ARM processor core, ATM block, AAL processing block, Ethernet block and a scheduler. The scheduler guarantees QoS of the voice traffic and supports multiple AAL2 packet. The SoC is manufactured on the 0.35 micron fabrication line of HYNIX semiconductor, the total number of gates is about 312,000, for a maximum operating frequency of over to 50㎒.

  • In agricultural field experiments, the completely randomized block design is often used for the analysis of variety trials. An important assumption is that every experimental unit in each block has the some fertility. But, in most agricultural field experiments there often exists a systematic heterogeneity in fertility among the experimental units. To account for the heterogeneity, we propose to use the hierarchical generalized linear models. We compare our analysis of the data from Scottish Agricultural colleges list with that using Markov chain Monte Carlo method.

  • Block-chain enjoys technical advantages such as "robust security," owing to the structural characteristic that forgery is impossible, decentralization through sharing the ledger between participants, and the hyper-connectivity connecting Internet of Things, robots, and Artificial Intelligence. As a result, public organizations have highly positive attitudes toward the adoption of technology using block-chain, and the design of university information services is no exception. Universities are also considering the application of block-chain technology to foundations that implement various information services within a university. Through case studies of block-chain applications across various industries, this study designs an empirical model of an integrated information service platform that integrates information systems in a university. A basic road map of university information services is constructed based on block-chain technology, from planning to the actual service design stage. Furthermore, an actual empirical model of an integrated information service in a university is designed based on block-chain by applying this framework.

  • The existing block encryption algorithms have been designed for the encryption key value to be unchanged and applied to the round functions of each block, and enciphered. Therefore, it has such a weak point that the plaintext or encryption key could be easily exposed by differential cryptanalysis or linear cryptanalysis, both are the most powerful methods for decoding block encryption of a round-repeating structure. In order to overcome with this weak point, an encryption algorithm using a mote efficient key should be designed. In this paper, a block encryption algorithm which is designed for each encryption key value to be applied to each round block with different value is proposed. This algorithm needs a short processing time in an encryption and decryption, has a high intensity, can apply to electronic commerce and various applications of data protection.

  • The mass concrete structures are generally constructed in an incremental manner by deviding the whole structures by a series of many blocks. The temperature and stress distributions of any specific block are continuously affected by the blocks placed before and after the specific block. For an accurate analysis of mass concrete structures, the sequence of all the blocks must be accordingly considered including the change of material properties with time for those blocks considered. The purpose of this study is to propose a realistic analysis method which can take into account not only the influence of the sequence, time interval and size of concrete block placement on the temperatures and stresses, but also the change of material properties with time. It is seen from this study that the conventional simplified analysis, which neglects material property changes of some blocks with time and does not consider the effect of adjacent blocks in the analysis, may yield large discrepancies in the temperature and stress distributions of mass concrete structures. This study gives a method to choose the minimum number of blocks required to obtain reasonably accurate results in analysis. The study provides a realistic method which can determine the appropriate size and time interval of block placement, and can be efficiently used in the design and construction of mass concrete structures.
