유한변형과 굽힘효과가 고려된 3차원 보-기둥요소에 의한 공간구조물의 분기좌굴해석 (A Bifurcation Analysis of Space Structures by Using 3D Beam-Column Element Considering Finite Deformations and Bowing Effect)

  • 본 논문은 기하학적 비선형성을 가진 보존적 단일 하중 매개변수의 탄성 상태 공간구조의 탄성 분기 좌굴해석을 위한 공간프레임의 정식화, 분기경로 추적을 위한 pin-pointing 및 분기경로 전환알고리즘을 기술하고 있다. 복잡한 좌굴 후 거동특성을 파악하기 위한 본 연구의 공간프레임요소는 오일러리안 좌표계에 의한 유한회전이론으로 강체변형을 계산하였고, 굽힘효과가 고려된 보-기둥식을 적용하여 적은 개수의 요소의 사용으로도 정해를 얻을 수 있도록 하였으며, 후좌굴해석과 같은 고도의 비선형해석을 수행하기 위해 기하강성행렬의 모멘트에 대한 영향을 고려하였다. 분기좌굴에 의한 좌굴후 평형상태인 주경로와 분기경로의 pin-pointing 알고리즘으로 특이점을 계산하였으며, 고유치 및 고유모드를 이용한 본 연구의 수치알고리즘에 의해 분기경로를 추적하였다. 분기좌굴 해석예제로 평면프레임, 평면아치 및 공간돔에 대한 분기좌굴 해석을 수행하여 본문에서 제시한 수치해석법의 정확성 및 적용성을 검증한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 암반의 국부파괴 현상을 현실적으로 모형 화하기 위하여 혼합체기법을 적용한 새로운 유한요소를 제안하였다. 이를 위하여 각 유한요소의 적분점에서 재료의 안정성을 검토하고 필요시 국부파괴 요소와 인접한 암반 물성을 이용한 혼합체 물성을 도출하였으며 국부파괴 후의 재료 거동을 추적하였다. 제시한 모형을 사용하면 변형율 연화 모형을 사용하더라도 유한요소망의 객관성을 유지할 수 있으며 국부파괴 이후 재료의 거동을 현실적으로 모형화 할 수 있다. 또한 유한요소 갯수가 비교적 작더라도 수치해석 결과와 실험 결과가 잘 일치하고 있음을 알 수 있다.

Adelphic Integral을 이용한 비선형 정규모드 진동 해석 (A Study on the Nonlinear Normal Mode Vibration Using Adelphic Integral)

  • Nonlinear normal mode (NNM) vibration, in a nonlinear dual mass Hamiltonian system, which has 6th order homogeneous polynomial as a nonlinear term, is studied in this paper. The existence, bifurcation, and the orbital stability of periodic motions are to be studied in the phase space. In order to find the analytic expression of the invariant curves in the Poincare Map, which is a mapping of a phase trajectory onto 2 dimensional surface in 4 dimensional phase space, Whittaker's Adelphic Integral, instead of the direct integration of the equations of motion or the Birkhotf-Gustavson (B-G) canonical transformation, is derived for small value of energy. It is revealed that the integral of motion by Adelphic Integral is essentially consistent with the one obtained from the B-G transformation method. The resulting expression of the invariant curves can be used for analyzing the behavior of NNM vibration in the Poincare Map.

  • Propagation of a mixed-mode crack in Soda-Lime silica glass using Movable Cellular Automata (MCA) method is demonstrated in this study. In MCA method, special fracture criterion is used to describe the process of crack initiation and propagation. Comparison between MCA and other crack initiation criteria results are made. The crack resistance curves and bifurcation angles under different loading angles are found. In comparisons with results of maximum circumferential tensile stress criterion, MCA result showed the sufficient agreement.

  • Voltage mode chaotic neuron has been designed in integrated circuit and fabricated by using 0.8$\mu\textrm{m}$ single poly CMOS technology. The fabricated CMOS chaotic neuron consist of chaotic signal generator and sigmoid output function. This paper presents an analysis of the chaotic behavior in the voltage mode CMOS chaotic neuron. From empirical equations of the chaotic neuron, the dynamical responses such as time series, bifurcation, and average firing rate are calculated. And, results of experiments in the single chaotic neuron and chaotic neural networks by two neurons are shown and compared with the simulated results.

얇은 접합층의 계면균열에 대한 이론적 해석 (Theoretical Analysis of Interface Crack on Thin Plate)

  • A bonded plate or a coated part can be debonded by external impact or thermal expansion. To analyse adhesive strength, the blister test is generally adopted. In this paper, a blister test is modelled theoretically and then the stability and bifurcation of the blister are studied under several different cases. The blister is simplified to consist of a pure bending plate attached elastically to the rigid substrate. Expression of the energy release rate is obtained as a form of an explicit function for a circular-type blister or tunnel-type blister grown by controlling the internal pressure or internal volume. Stability and bifurcation are also studied in the frame of the quasi-static evolution. The study shows that the circular- type blister propagates with the first mode of bifurcation and that the tunnel-type blister propagates with a regular wave. It is proved that the waves have the same form on two side lines of the tunnel and that the wave length can be obtained. When the internal pressure is controlled, the blister is unstable, but when the internal volume is controlled, it is stable.

  • The nonlinear behavior of continuous structural systems which possess external resonances as well as internal resonances are found be exhibit interesting reponses, arising because of the exhange of energy between the coupled modes. In this paper, the undamped forced vibrations was studied on the effect of primary resonance based on the concept of normal modes. By using the concept of normal mode the stability relation between free and forced vibrations was investigated in case of small exciting force. Numerical results show that the excitation of one unstable mode has a great influence on the response of the other mode but that of one stable mode does not.

  • By utilizing the concept of normal modes, nonlinear dynamics is studied on pendulum dynamic absorber. When the spring mode loses the stability in undamped free system, a dynamic two-well potential is formed in Poincare map. A procedure is formulated to compute the forced responses associated with bifurcating mode and predict double saddle-loop phenomenon. It is found that quasiperiodic motion and stable periodic motion coexist in some parameter ranges, and only periodic motions or rotation of pendulum with chaotic fluctuation are observed in other ranges.

Secondary buckling analysis of spherical caps

  • The aim of this paper is to investigate the secondary buckling behaviour and mode-coupling of spherical caps under uniformly external pressure. The analysis makes use of a rotational finite shell element on the basis of strain-displacement relations according to Koiter's shell theory (Small Finite Deflections). The post-buckling behaviours after a bifurcation point are analyzed precisely by considering multi-mode coupling between several higher order harmonic wave numbers: and on the way of post-buckling path the positive definiteness of incremental stiffness matrix of uncoupled modes is examined step by step. The secondary buckling point that has zero eigen-value of incremental stiffness matrix and the corresponding secondary mode are obtained, moreover, the secondary post-buckling path is traced.

정규모우드를 활용한 비선형 대칭구조물의 강제진동해석 (On the Forced Vibration in the Nonlinear Symmetric Structure by Using the Normal Modes)

  • The forced vibration with the symmetric boundary condition in nonlinear structure is studied by utilizing the characteristic of the free vibration which have two modes with the similar natural frequency. Two linear modes exist to have no concern with the amplitude. It is found that the normal mode or elliptic orbit as the newly coupled modes is generated in accordance with changing the stability. It is also known that responses for forced vibration having the small external force and damping are near mode of free vibration and the stability for each response is determined according to the stability for each response is determined according to the stability in mode of free vibration. Finally the stability and bifurcation are analyzed in proportion to increment of external force and damping.
