This study was intended to suggest the future direction of catering companies in line with the new normal in the era of COVID-19. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of image and awareness of signs for safe restaurant on behavioral intentions. As a result of testing the hypothesis, first, it was found that the image of the sign for the safe restaurant had a significant effect on the recognition. Second, the image of the safe restaurant sign has a significant effect on trust. Third, it was found that the awareness of the signs for the safe restaurant had a significant effect on trust. Fourth, trust had a significant effect on behavior intention. Fifth, it was found that the image and awareness of the sign in the safe restaurant did not have a statistically significant effect on the behavioral intention. Sixth, it was found that the image of the sign at the safe restaurant and the awareness of the sign at the safe restaurant completely mediate trust and have a significant effect on the behavioral intention. The results of this study show the need for publicity activities to raise awareness of the safe restaurant certification and the importance of giving trust to consumers.
This study is a descriptive survey study that applies the planned behavior theory to identify the factors influencing the childbirth intention of unmarried men and women. Data were collected from April 05 to April 23, 2021 for 168 unmarried men and women. As a result of the study, in general characteristics, male, old, highly educated, occupational, and non-regular workers had statistically significantly higher childbirth intentions. As a result of examining the correlation between the variables constituting the theory of planned behavior(TPB), it was found that the more positive the attitude toward childbirth, the greater the subjective norm, and the greater the perceived behavior control, the higher the intention to give birth. Multiple regression analyses showed that the factors affecting fertility intention on men and women. The factors affecting fertility intention in men was attitude, with an explanatory power of 62.2% and the factors affecting fertility intention in women were attitudes and perceived behavioral control, and the explanatory power of these variables on fertility intention was 69.0%. In order to increase the intention to give birth, a comprehensive approach is needed, and the research is meaningful in that the results of this study provided basic data in the development of policies and education programs related to low birth rates in the future.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors influencing the smoking behavior of adolescents, in order to provide basic data to develop a future nursing intervention program for smoking prevention. Methods: The study subjects were 162 adolescents attending high schools, who were living in K city. The instruments included the Self Esteem Scale translated by Jeon (1974), beliefs about the social rule scale developed by the Committee for Adolescence Guidance (1988), differential peer association developed by Krohn et. al. (1982), perceived behavioral control scale developed by Hanson (1997), intention of smoking scale developed by Newman et. al.(1982), and self-efficacy scale developed by Sherer et. al. (1982). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: 1. The smoking behaviors of the subjects were significantly correlated with beliefs about social rule, perceived behavioral control. differential peer association, intention of smoking, self efficacy, grade, father's level of education, monthly pocket money, time of onset for smoking, degree of alcoholic intake, and drug abuse. 2. The multiple regression analysis revealed the most powerful predictor for smoking behavior was time of onset for smoking. A combination of beliefs about social rule, perceived behavioral control, grade, differential peer association, and intention of smoking accounted for 54.0% of the variance for smoking behavior in adolescents. Conclusion: It is recommended that these influencing factors for smoking behavior be considered when developing future nursing intervention programs for the antismoking behaviors of adolescents.
Well-being is a reflection of current sociocultural trends that focus on the quality of life based on economic growth. Furthermore, organic food is believed to help people maintain good health and therefore leads to increased consumption of organic foods. Therefore, consumer interest in organic food is increasing, causing its market to grow, and this trend will be maintained in the future. The abuse of agricultural pesticides, gene manipulation, and bovine spongiform encephalopathy has caused consumers to worry about food safety. The well-being trend has also contributed to consumers' growing interest inorganic food and organic agricultural products. A consumer's choice offood is a complex processes affected by various factors. In particular, organic food is considered an individualistic merit good, considering the consumers' preferences related to certification policies. Therefore, various factors such as personal characteristics and sense of value could affect consumers' decisions. This research focused on an analysis of the factors influencing consumers' purchasing intention for organic food on the basis of an increase in organic food consumption. The research method was based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB). Factors such as consumer characteristics regarding food consumption, purchasing frequency, and other factors affecting purchasing intention were presented. The hypothesis was set using advanced research and stated that it is easier to forecast purchasing intentions by combining the theory of planned behavior and personal characteristics of consumer. The results show that two dimensions, attitude and perceived behavioral control, have statistically significant influence on the purchasing intention. It can be said that a positive attitude toward organic foods in particular increases the possibility of purchasing intention. In addition, consumers who consume more organic food products are more likely to have positive attitudes, and, in the past, purchasing frequency has positively influenced purchasing intention of organic foods. Consumers' negative feelings about the non-purchase of organic foods also showed a negative influence on purchasing intentions. In other words, even though consumers feel uncomfortable when not consuming organic food products, they do not try to purchase such products because of this feeling of discomfort. Furthermore, the subjective norm and the behavioral control of food-related involvement do not have a statistically significant influence on the purchasing intention or attitudes. This research verified the influence of factors related to purchasing intention. This study has several limitations: (1) even though consumers' responses can change based on the type of food, the types of food were not classified in this study; (2) future studies are necessary to analyze the attitudes of consumers on the basis of their purchasing experiences with organic foods.
This study investigates the effects of justice dimensions on negative emotion, consumer satisfaction after service recovery, repurchase intention and word-of-mouth intention in a context of service recovery. Behavioral intentions(repurchase intention and word-of-mouth intention) are critical to the discount store sellers' survival and success. The research model is an extension of previous studies, especially considering more recent developments in the service recovery literature. A survey using 458 customers in China was conducted, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to test the validity of the measurement model, and AMOS analysis approach was used to gain important insights into how customer retention in the discount store business can be ensured. The results suggest that all three dimensions of justice had negative effects on negative emotion, had positive effects on satisfaction after service recovery. Negative emotion had negative effects on recovery satisfaction. Recovery satisfaction had positive effects on repurchase intention and word-of-mouth intention. Finally, this study suggests the implications of these findings and offers directions for future research.
Background: Pharmacy schools newly adopted a 6-year program strengthening clinical knowledge since 2011 in Korea. The clinical training under the guidance of preceptors at hospital sites is a requisite for pharmacy students during the last year of undergraduate course. It has been rarely studied on the hospital pharmacists' perspective regarding being a preceptor or teaching pharmacy students. Objectives: This study aimed to examine the hospital pharmacists' intention toward student training and to identify the relevant factors among the individual pharmacists' characteristics and working environment within the theoretical frame of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Method: A mail-survey was conducted for pharmacists working in tertiary hospitals in Seoul and Incheon. The survey questionnaire consisting of 131 questions with a 5-likert scale was developed for investigating pharmacists' attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control and the intention to teach pharmacy students as well as other demographic variables. To estimate the construct validity of components, factor analysis was conducted and Cronbach's alpha was calculated to estimate the reliability of the observed variables. Statistical analyses of one-way variance analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS 18.0. Results: The survey response rate was 53% (116/210) and the three constructs of attitude (r = .519), subjective norm (r = .233) and perceived control (r = .392) have appropriate correlations with the intention, proving the appropriateness of using the TPB model. Pharmacists working in inpatient (mean = 3.45) and outpatient clinics (mean = 3.34) generally showed positive intention for teaching. The attitude (${\beta}=.432$, p < 0.01) and perceived control (${\beta}=.270$, p < .01) constructs were significant predictors of the intention. Both age (r = 0.246, p = 0.017) and length of career (r = 0.310, p = 0.002) were positively related with the perceived control. Conclusion: Hospital pharmacists showed generally positive intention to provide student training in spite of the concern on their limited perceived behavioral control. Future research to find the actual barriers pharmacists faced in educating students need to be conducted.
This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between political interest, economic interest, sociocultural interest and intention of maintaining the nursing job against 291 nursing students from a university in C city from August to September 2022. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlations. The study showed political interest 3.35(maximum 5 points), economic interest 3.76(maximum 5 points), sociocultural interest 4.15(maximum 5 points), and intention of maintaining the nursing job were 3.40(maximum 5 points). In the correlation between variables, the correlation coefficient between political interest and sociocultural skill(r=.385, p<.01) was high, and economic interest and overall sociocultural interest were the most correlated(r=.534, p<.01). For the correlation with intention of maintaining the nursing job, sociocultural behavioral intention(r=.158, p<.01) and attitude(r=.131, p<.01) were statistically significant. Based on the results, repeated studies including political, economic, and sociocultural interest as variables influencing intention of maintaining the nursing job and future research on systematic and diverse educational programs including sociocultural attitudes and behavioral intention are suggested so the nursing job can be maintained for longer time as a profession.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate influencing factors of using Korean medicine services (KMS) using the 2017 Korean Medicine Utilization Survey (KMUS). Methods: Demographic statistics of the survey were summarized and influencing factors of the KMS experience and the intention to visit KMS were analyzed using logistic regression model with complex sample design. Influencing factors were specified based on Andersen's behavioral model of health care utilization and factors associated with individual recognitions of KMS. Additionally, using the ordinary logistic regression model without complex sample design, the survey data were analyzed to compare the results. Results: In the logistic regression analysis, sex, age, health condition, presence of chronic disease, a degree of knowledge about Korean Medicine, and a view about herbal medicine safety were statistically significant both in the KMS experience, and the intention to visit KMS. Marital status was statistically significant in the KMS experience, while family income, a view about the cost of KMS were statistically significant in the intention to visit KMS. Conclusion: Individual recognitions of KMS and enabling components should be considered when establishing KMS policies. In addition, future studies analyzing KMUS need to take into account the complex sample design features of the survey to avoid statistically misleading results.

The paper is an attempt to study the individual's intention to use mobile banking. In light of the results obtained from the study, the proposed model offers a better fit with the data and explains the intention of individuals to use mobile banking services. Government support, trust, and compatibility significantly contribute to the Perceived behavioral control of a bank customer to use mobile banking while Perceived ease of use, Perceived usefulness, Security and privacy, and risk have a significant positive impact on the attitude of the individuals to utilize mobile banking service. The study uses primary data and the final instrument was administered to 950 respondents, across the country of which 904 data were used for the analysis after editing to accommodate the missing values. The study has adopted structural equation modeling approach to analyze the relationships between the variables in the study. The proposed framework in this study can be utilized to identify the factors that promote the adoption of mobile banking practices and the study also has the potential to provide updated and comprehensive literature on mobile banking, which can accelerate future research in this field.
This study attempts to 1) identify the dimensions of perceived value in the restaurant industry and 2) assess the effects of these dimensions on overall customer satisfaction and behavioral intent. With a total of 272 samples obtained from empirical research, this study reviews the reliability and fitness of the research model, and verifies a total of 4 hypotheses using the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously using a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data:${\chi}^2$ 140.087(df 80), CMIN/df 1.751, RMR .060, GFI .937, AGFI .906, NFI .962, CFI .983, RMSEA .053. As a result of confirmatorical analysis, the quality value, emotional value and economical value were quantified as perceived value in fastfood restaurants. These factors were indicated to have influence on customer satisfaction and re-visit intention. Limitations and future research were also discussed.
