국내 한식당의 서비스 접점 요인이 고객감정, 고객만족도 및 행동의도에 미치는 영향 - 국내 거주 외국인 고객을 중심으로 - (The Effect of the Service Encounter Element in Korean Restaurants upon Customer's Emotion Feelings, Customer Satisfaction, and Behavioral Intention - Focused on Foreigners Living in Korea -)

  • The two purposes of this study were to understand service encounters in Korean restaurants by foreigners living in Korea and to examine the effect of service encounters on the customer's emotion feelings, customer satisfaction, and behavioral intention. Based on the reactions of a total of 614 foreigners obtained by empirical research, this study reviews the reliability and fitness of the research model, and verifies a total of 4 hypotheses using the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously using a structural equation model (SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data: ${\chi}^2$ 683.466 (df=216), CMIN/df 3.164, RMR 0.095, GFI 0.911, AGFI 0.886, NFI 0.933, CFI 0.953, and RMSEA 0.059. As a result of empirical analysis, the physical environment, interactions with employees, and interactions with other customers were quantified as service encounter factors in Korean restaurants. These factors were indicated to have an influence on customer's emotion feelings. Also, customer's emotion feelings had a positive influence on customer satisfaction and behavioral intent. Limitations and future research are also discussed.

수단-목적사슬이론을 적용한 프랜차이즈 분식점의 서비스 품질, 지각된 혜택, 가치 그리고 행동의도 간의 관계 분석 (A Study on the Relationships among Service Quality, Perceived Benefit, Value, and Behavioral Intention as Perceived by Franchise Snack Bar Restaurant Consumers - Application of Means-End Chain Theory -)

  • 본 연구는 프랜차이즈 분식점 이용객들을 대상으로 프랜차이즈 분식점 방문 시 인지될 수 있는 세 가지 서비스 품질 요인들을 측정하고, 이러한 요인들이 고객들이 지각한 혜택과 가치, 그리고 행동의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하고자 수행되었다. 연구가설 검증을 위하여 총 450부의 설문지를 최근 3개월 이내에 프랜차이즈 분식점 이용 방문객들을 대상으로 배포하여, 이 중 불성실한 응답 39부를 제외한 총 411부의 설문지가 실증분석에 사용되었다. SPSS 20.0과 AMOS 20.0을 사용하여 기술통계, 요인분석 및 신뢰도검증 및 요인들 간의 인과관계를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 서비스 품질의 세 가지 요인 모두가 지각된 혜택에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었으며, 세 요인 중 결과품질이 지각된 혜택에 가장 높은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 지각된 혜택은 가치에 중요한 선행변수임이 검증되었고, 긍정적으로 형성된 가치는 미래행동의도에 직접적 영향을 미치는 것을 입증하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 기존에 여러 선행연구에서 검증되었던 수단-목적 사슬이론을 프랜차이즈 분식점을 대상으로 한 연구분야에 적용시켰다는 것에 의의를 가진다. 본 연구의 결과는 최근 외식산업분야에서 중요한 축으로 자리 잡고 있는 분식점 산업의 활성화와 경쟁우위 전략을 구축을 하는데 현실적이고 논리적인 제언을 해줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Exploring Factors Affecting Consumers' Intention to Use Smartwatch in Bangladesh: An Empirical Study

  • Smartwatch, one of the popular forms of wearable gadget and a converging point of information technology innovation and fashion, is gaining much acceptance in countries belonging to the Asia-Pacific region. However, little is known about factors affecting consumers' intention to use smartwatches in Bangladesh. Therefore, this study explores factors driving Bangladeshi consumers' intention to use smartwatches and expands the general understanding of the emerging Asia-Pacific region's market. The study extends the conventional Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by incorporating perceived enjoyment, aesthetic appeal, healthology, and two fashion-related factors, such as fashion innovativeness and fashion involvement. Data representing 300 respondents were analyzed using the structural equation model (SEM). The results reveal that, among other predictors, attitude toward using has the strongest direct effect on behavioral intention to use smartwatches. Moreover, attitude toward using smartwatches is significantly influenced by perceived enjoyment, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, fashion innovativeness, and fashion involvement. The study further discusses some interesting theoretical contributions that would be important insights for future studies. The empirical findings of this study would benefit the manufacturers and marketers who are trying to enter or penetrate the market in the Asia-pacific region.

중국 모바일 콘텐츠 서비스의 소비자 재구매의도에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Chinese Customer's Repurchase Intention of Mobile Contents Service)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to understand the important characteristics of mobile content services and to provide better content services to Chinese consumers by understanding consumer behavioral psychology about mobile content services and empirically analyzing research models with perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment, customer attitudes, and repurchase intentions based on motivation theory. Design/methodology/approach Based on Deci(1975) Self-Determination Theory and Heijden(2004) research model, this study developed a research framework that includes perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment to influence on repurchase intention. A questionnaire survey was conducted targeting Chinese consumers using mobile content services, and 272 valid responses were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Findings According to the results of empirical analysis in this study, Chinese consumers were found to feel repurchase intention by positive impact of perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment in the use of mobile content service. Chinese consumers still use mobile content a lot from a utilitarian perspective in relation to social life or job performance, and there is no positive effect on the use of mobile content related to perceived enjoyment. The results of this study provide the empirical results of a research model that integrates motivation theory and technology acceptance theory for the development of the mobile content industry in the future, and provide necessary insights for managers of companies that develop and distribute mobile content service.

An Extended UTAUT2 model to Explain the Adoption of Virtual Reality Technology in Health Centers: An Empirical Study Based in Riyadh

  • The adoption of new technology in any organization will represent change, and such change needs user acceptance for its successful implementation. Saudi Arabian health centers are no exception; therefore, the current study will investigate the adoption of new technology, namely that of virtual reality (VR), within health centers in Saudi Arabia and specifically in Riyadh City. This study explores the current state of VR technology adoption, factors that influence such adoption, and the extent of this technology's efficiency when it is used for vaccinating children. The data were collected from two samples: workers in vaccination clinics who responded to a survey and a group of children who participated in the VR technology experiment. The current study proposed a model based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT2), with the addition of two variables: personal innovativeness and satisfaction. The results indicated that the respondents' perceptions regarding the health centers' infrastructure in terms of adopting VR were moderate. Among the factors affecting VR adoption, satisfaction, personal innovativeness, and behavioral intention were identified as vastly influential factors. From the eight hypotheses, six were found to be supported, with their factors significantly influencing behavioral intention with regard to VR technology adoption. Besides, the experiment concerning the use of VR technology on children verified the technique's high efficiency in terms of providing pain management and fear removal. These findings support the continuity of VR technology use, expand its future application fields, and integrate this study into the literature on technology acceptance models for VR adoption, as limited studies have covered this topic; consequently, this will benefit future research in this field.

도전감과 능력이 플로우에 미치는 영향 -20 쇼핑몰과 30 쇼핑몰을 중심으로- (Effects of Challenges and Skills on Flow-focused on a 2D Shopping Mall and a 3D Shopping Mall)

  • Flow has attracted more interests in consumer behaviors, with pleasure and fantasy getting more important in shopping. "Flow" means the experience with which consumers feel as pleased and satisfied as in playing pleasantly, and the optimal experience they feel when they are indulged in an activity. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships among challenges, skills, flow experience, and future behavioral intention in online shopping malls. In addition, a 3D shopping mall and a 2D shopping mall were selected as the stimuli in order to examine the differences in flow experience in accordance with web site types. A survey questionnaire was developed and 700 data(2D group: n=380, 3D group: n=320) were used for analysis. Data were analyzed through structural equation model to explore effects of challenges and skills on flow. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the perception of higher challenges and skills led to positive flow experience and higher time distortion. Second, the higher the level of time distortion was, the higher the flow experience was. This means that a shopping mall will increase flow experience, if it is interesting enough to be unaware of time passing. Third, flow experience had a positive influence on future behavioral intention. Finally, in all variables except skills, the impact of 3D shopping mall is greater than that of 2D shopping mall, which means that web site types affect flow experience.

Analysis on the Characterstics of Consumers on Social commerce

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of awareness on the characteristics of a consumers' social commerce. This study examines whether the characteristics of social commerce influence the purchase intentions in accommodating these types of social commerce. Research design, data, methodology - The data for the study were collected and analyzed from a sample of 126 adult customers, comprising both males and females, using social commerce. The survey was conducted and the results aggregated through distributing a copy to each participant. For statistical analysis of the data collected, SPSS 18.0 statistical package was used. Results - The results can be summarized as follows. First, the perceptions about the characteristics of Social Commerce demonstrated a significant effect for attitudes. Second, the attitudes demonstrated positive effects on purchase intention. Third, the subjective norm affected the purchase intention. Fourth, perceived behavioral control influenced the purchase intentions. Conclusions - As a result, perceptions about the characteristics of Social Commerce may be seen in the positive effects on purchase intention. Using social commerce in the future, retailers would need to increase the scope of the study, through applying more diverse characteristics of Social Commerce.

Mobile shopping intentions: Do trustworthiness and culture Matter?

  • Purpose: This research aims to verify the role of mobile shopping attributes, trustworthiness, and cultural dimensions on mobile shopping intentions in Saudi Arabia. The originality of the model stems from the verification of the moderating impact of cultural variables, namely collectivism and masculinity, and from the integration of trustworthiness as a variable depending on mobile shopping attributes. Research design, data and methodology: A survey was distributed to 233 consumers with different nationalities living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Structural equation modeling and multi-group analysis were carried out to verify the conceptual model and the moderating variables. Results: The findings support the influence of several innovation attributes, namely complexity and trialability on behavioral intentions, while relative advantage has a direct impact on trustworthiness. A few paths are moderated by masculinity and collectivism. Conclusions: Culture and mobile commerce attributes need to be thought out by managers as factors influencing mobile commerce segmentation for expatriates and locals. Trustworthiness is also a key factor of mobile shopping adoption. Limitations and future research ideas are presented to enrich the proposed model and improve its predictive validity.

안심식당 표지판에 대한 이미지와 인지도가 행동의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Image and Awareness of Safe Restaurant Signs on Behavior Intention)

  • 본 연구에서는 코로나19 시대 뉴노멀에 맞춘 외식업체가 나아갈 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 안심식당 표지판에 대한 이미지와 인지도가 행동의도에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 데 있다. 첫째, 안심식당 표지판에 대한 이미지는 인지도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 안심식당 표지판에 대한 이미지는 신뢰에 유의미한 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 안심식당 표지판에 대한 인지도는 신뢰에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 신뢰는 행동의도에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 다섯째, 안심식당에 표지판에 대한 이미지와 인지도는 행동의도에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 안심식당에 표지판에 대한 이미지와 안심식당 표지판에 대한 인지도는 신뢰를 완전 매개하여 행동의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 안심식당 인증에 대한 인식을 높이기 위한 홍보 활동의 필요성 및 소비자에게 신뢰를 주는 것이 중요하다는 결과를 보인다.

리조트 고객의 소비가치와 고객만족 및 행동의도와의 인과관계 연구: 성별과 결혼유무에 따른 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Consumption Value Perceived by Resort Customers on Customer Satisfaction and Behavioral Intention : Focusing on Moderating Effects by Gender and Marital Status)

  • 본 연구는 국내 리조트를 이용하는 고객들이 인지하는 소비가치가 고객만족 및 행동의도에 미치는 영향을 고찰하고, 이러한 인과관계에서 성별과 결혼유무에 따른 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 실증연구를 위해 확보된 324개의 표본을 바탕으로 연구모형의 신뢰성, 적합성 등을 검토하였고, 구조방정식 모형을 사용하여 총 4개의 가설을 검증하였으며, 모형의 적합도는 ${\chi}^2$=467.489 (p<.001), df=326, CMIN/DF=1.434, GFI=.911, AGFI=.889, NFI=.881, CFI=.960, RMSEA=.037등으로 조사되었다. 연구결과 소비가치의 하위 차원 중 상황적 가치를 제외한 기능적 가치, 사회적 가치, 정서적 가치, 진귀적 가치는 고객만족에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 조사되었으며, 고객만족은 행동의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 이를 통해 고객들이 인지하는 리조트의 소비가치는 고객만족에 유의한 영향을 미쳐, 결과적으로 행동의도에 긍정적인 태도를 형성하게 된다는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 한편 소비가치가 고객만족 및 행동의도에 미치는 영향에 있어서 성별과 결혼유무에 다른 조절효과를 분석한 결과 성별과 결혼유무에 따른 조절효과는 존재하지 않는 것으로 조사되었다.
