딥러닝을 활용한 엣지 컴퓨팅 기반 산업현장 작업자 행동 분석 시스템 (Edge Computing based Industrial Field Worker's Behavior Analysis System using Deep Learning)

  • 본 논문에서는 딥러닝을 이용한 작업자 위험 행동 모니터링 선행 연구에 기반해, 엣지 컴퓨팅 기반 딥러닝을 사용하여 클라우드에 대한 의존성 문제를 해결하였다. 작업자는 IoT 안전벨트와 영상 전송 안전모를 통해 정보를 수집, 처리한다. 또한 LSTM 방식에서 개량된 필터를 통한 FFNN 딥러닝 방법을 사용하여 작업자 위험 행동 패턴 분석을 하며 선행 연구의 작업자 행동 모니터링 시스템을 엣지 컴퓨팅 기반 위에서 구현하였다.

Bridges dynamic analysis under earthquakes using a smart algorithm

  • This work addresses the optimization controller design problem combining the AI evolution bat (EB) optimization algorithm with a fuzzy controller in the practical application of a reinforced concrete frame structure. This article explores the use of an intelligent EB strategy to reduce the dynamic response of Lead Rubber Bearing (LRB) composite reinforced concrete frame structures. Recently developed control units for plant structures, such as hybrid systems and semi-active systems, have inherently non-linear properties. Therefore, it is necessary to develop non-linear control methods. Based on the relaxation method, the nonlinear structural system can be stabilized by properly adjusting the parameters. Therefore, the behavior of a closed-loop system can be accurately predicted by determining the behavior of a closed-loop system. The performance and durability of the proposed control method are demonstrated by numerical simulations. The simulation results show that the proposed method is a viable and feasible control strategy for seismically tuned composite reinforced concrete frame structures.

  • 군집 로봇시스템에서 개개의 로봇은 스스로 주위의 환경과 자신의 상태를 스스로 판단하여 행동하고, 필요에 따라서는 다른 로봇과 협조를 통하여 어떤 주어진 일을 수행할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 개개의 로봇은 동적으로 변화하는 환경에 잘 적응할 수 있는 학습과 진화능력을 갖는 것이 필수적이다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 지연된 보상능력이 있는 강화학습과 분산유전알고리즘을 이용한 새로운 자율이동로봇의 행동학습 및 진화방법을 제안한다. 지연 보상능력이 있는 강화학습은 로봇이 취한 행동에 대하여 즉각적인 보상을 가할 수 없는 경우에도 학습이 가능한 방법이다. 또한 개개의 로봇이 통신을 통하여 염색체를 교환하는 분산유전알고리즘은 각기 다른 환경에서 학습한 우수한 염색체로부터 자신의 능력을 향상시킨다. 특히 본 논문에서는 진화의 성능을 향상시키기 위하여 강화학습의 특성을 이용한 선택 교배방법을 채택하였다. 제안된 방법은 협조탐색 문제에 적용하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 그 유효성을 검증한다.

링 구조 NUMA 시스템에서 적응형 다중 그레인 원격 캐쉬 설계 (Application Behavior-oriented Adaptive Remote Access Cache in Ring based NUMA System)

  • 메모리 병목현상의 완화와 구현상의 용이함으로 인해 NUMA 시스템이 지난 수년 동안 전형적인 다중 프로세서 시스템으로 자리를 잡아 왔다. 하지만 NUMA 시스템은 그 구조의 특성상 원격 메모리로의 접근 비율이 커질수록 응답 속도의 지연이 심화되므로, NUMA 시스템의 구현에 있어서 원격 캐쉬의 효율적인 설계를 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 보다 효율적인 원격 캐쉬의 설계를 목표로 하여, 원격 캐쉬 상에서 실제 응용 프로그램의 공유 단위(Granularity of Sharing)의 패턴을 분석하여 원격 캐쉬의 라인 사이즈를 실행 시간에 가상적으로 변화시킬 수 있는“다중 그레인 원격 캐쉬”방식을 제안한다. 그리고 이를 MINT를 통해 모델링한 후 시뮬레이션을 수행하고 그 결과를 분석한다. 시뮬레이션에서는 먼저 Profile-Based 방식을 이용하여 각 응용 프로그램별 최적의 원격 캐쉬 라인 사이즈를 찾아내고, 이를 이용하여 기존의 일반적인 NUMA 시스템에서의 원격 캐쉬와 본 논문에서 제안한 다중 그레인 원격 캐쉬와의 상호 비교를 통해 성능상의 차이점을 비교, 분석한다. 그 후 다중 그레인 원격 캐쉬가 시스템과 응용 프로그램간의 다양한 관계 속에서도 항상 최악의 경우를 피하면서 최적의 경우와 유사한 결과를 가짐을 보인다.

State-Based Behavior Modeling in Software and Systems Engineering

  • The design of complex man-made systems mostly involves a conceptual modeling phase; therefore, it is important to ensure an appropriate analysis method for these models. A key concept for such analysis is the development of a diagramming technique (e.g., UML) because diagrams can describe entities and processes and emphasize important aspects of the systems being described. The analysis also includes an examination of ontological concepts such as states and events, which are used as a basis for the modeling process. Studying fundamental concepts allows us to understand more deeply the relationship between these concepts and modeling frameworks. In this paper, we critically analyze the classic definition of a state utilizing the Thinging machine (TM) model. States in state machine diagrams are considered the appropriate basis for modeling system behavioral aspects. Despite its wide application in hardware design, the integration of a state machine model into a software system's modeling requirements increased the difficulty of graphical representation (e.g., integration between structural and behavioral diagrams). To understand such a problem, in this paper, we project (create an equivalent representation of) states in TM machines. As a case study, we re-modeled a state machine of an assembly line system in a TM. Additionally, we added possible triggers (transitions) of the given states to the TM representation. The outcome is a complicated picture of assembly line behavior. Therefore, as an alternative solution, we re-modeled the assembly line based solely on the TM. This new model presents a clear contrast between state-based modeling of assembly line behavior and the TM approach. The TM modeling seems more systematic than its counterpart, the state machine, and its notions are well defined. In a TM, states are just compound events. A model of a more complex system than the one in the assembly line has strengthened such a conclusion.

비선형 시스템 계통에서 신경망에 근거한 가변구조 제어 (Neural Network based Variable Structure Control for a Class of Nonlinear Systems)

  • This paper presents a neural network based variable structure control scheme for nonlinear systems. In this scheme, a set of local variable structure control laws are designed on the basis of the linear models about preselected representative points which cover the range of the system operation of interest. From the combination of the set of local variable structure control laws, neural networks infer the approximate control input in between the operating points. The neural network based variable structure control alleviates the effects of model uncertainties, which cannot be compensated by the control techniques using feedback linearization. It also relaxes the discontinuity in the system’s behavior that appears when the control schemes based on the family of the linear models are applied to nonlinear systems. Simulation results of a ball and beam system, to which feedback linearization cannot be applied, demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method.

침묵분위기, LMX, 혁신행동의 관계에 대한 실증연구 (A Study on the Relationship of Climate of Silence, LMX, and Innovation Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the negative effects of silence climate on the innovation behavior and LMX (Leader-Member Exchange). In order to test our model, we conducted a survey based on the questionnaire. Results showed that silence climate had a negative effect on the innovation behavior and LMX. Secondly, The LMX had a positive effect on innovation behavior. Moreover, the LMX partially mediated silence climate and the innovation behavior. Finally, we drew a conclusion by discussing limitations and implications of the research, and suggested directions for further researches.

커뮤니케이션매체 특성과 교수행위 특성이 협력적 상호작용과 프로젝트 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Characteristics of Communication Media and Instruction Behavior on Collaborative Interaction and Project Performance)

  • In the new web based learning environment which has recently emerged, a variety of new learning objectives and teaching methods suited to this learning environment have been adopted. Recently, web based project-based learning methods have received a great deal of attention from those wishing to improve learning performance. The objective of this study is to identify the impact of characteristics of communication media and instruction behavior on collaborative interaction and project performance through web based group projects. The characteristics of communication media were divided into richness, flexibility, and ease of use, and the characteristics of instruction behavior were divided into support and expression, which are independent variables. Collaborative interaction as a mediate variable, was divided into information sharing and negotiation. Project performance was the dependent variable. To verify the proposed research model empirically, an experiment was conducted in which learners participated in on-line and off-line courses with group projects. The group project was conducted virtual product development(VPD), and designed a web-site about the VPD. At the end of the project, a survey was conducted. Of the 270 students, 239 responded. The students were assigned to groups of 3 or 4 members, and represented different genders and levels of computer competence. The reliability, validity, and correlation of research variables were analyzed using SPSS 14.0, and the measurement model and the structural goodness-of-fit of the research model were verified through SEM analysis using Lisrel 8.54. We found important results as follows; First, richness and ease of use has positive impacts on each of sharing information and negotiation. This suggests that richness and ease of use are useful in sharing information which is related to the task and agreeing in opinions among group members. However, flexibility has not positive impacts on sharing information and negotiation. This implies that there is no great difference in performance of PC and information literacy of user. Second, support and expression of instructor have positive impacts on sharing information and negotiation. This indicates that instructors play an important role in encouraging learners to participate in the project and communicating with them, sharing information related to the project, making a resonable decision and finally leading them to improve a project performance. Third, collaborative interaction has a positive impact on project performance. This result shows that if the ability to share information and negotiate among students was improved then a project performance would be improved as well. Recently, in the state of revitalized web based learning, it is opportune that web-based group project is practically conducted, and the impact of characteristics of communication media and characteristics of instruction behavior on sharing information, negotiating among group members and improving a project performance is verified. On the basis of these results, we propose that forms of learning, such as web based project, could be one of solution which is to enforce interaction among learners, and ultimately improve learning performance. Moreover web-based group project is able to make up for a weakness which makes it difficult to make interpersonal relations or friendship among learners in computer mediated communication or web based learning.

운전행동 분석을 통한 위험운전행동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dangerous Driving Behaviors by Driver Behavior Analysis)

  • 최근 교통사고 주요 원인인 인간행동(인적요인)에 대해 관심이 높아졌으며 운전행동분석 도구인 DBQ(Driver Behavior Questionnaire)를 활용한 운전행동(Driving Behavior)에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 국내에서 진행된 선행연구는 분석대상이 연구원이나 군 공무원으로 한정되며 분석방법은 요인분석 및 회귀분석을 통해 이루어졌다. 이에 본 연구에서는 일반운전자의 운전행동이 위험운전에 미치는 영향요인을 파악하고 이들의 영향관계를 규명하고자 한다. 연구의 범위는 운전경력이 있는 일반운전자를 대상으로 DBQ설문을 실시하여 300부의 유효 표본수를 분석하였으며, 선행연구 고찰을 통해 교통사고의 주요 요인을 DBQ에서 측정가능한 'Lapse, Mistake, Violation' 세 가지속성으로 도출하고 구조방정식 모형을 통한 위험운전행동 모형을 구축하였다. 또한, 위험운전군별 차이를 확인하기 위하여 다중집단분석을 활용하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 'Lapse, Mistake, Violation 요인은 위험운전행동에 영향을 미칠 것이다'라는 가설검증 결과 모든 요인의 통계적 유의성이 확인되었다. 위험운전행동에 미치는 영향정도는 Violation 0.464, Lapse 0.383, Mistake 0.158 순으로 나타났으며 영향을 가장 많이 미치는 요인이 Violation으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 'Lapse, Mistake, Violation 요인이 위험운전행동에 미치는 영향은 위험군에 따라 다를 것이다'라는 가설검증 결과 Lapse 요인이 위험운전행동에 미치는 영향력이 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구결과는 위반행동 Violation과 부주의한 실수 Lapse를 고려한 교통사고 예방 프로그램 및 교육도입에 기초자료로 활용 가능할 것이다.

Perturbation Based Stochastic Finite Element Analysis of the Structural Systems with Composite Sections under Earthquake Forces

  • This paper demonstrates an application of the perturbation based stochastic finite element method (SFEM) for predicting the performance of structural systems made of composite sections with random material properties. The composite member consists of materials in contact each of which can surround a finite number of inclusions. The perturbation based stochastic finite element analysis can provide probabilistic behavior of a structure, only the first two moments of random variables need to be known, and should therefore be suitable as an alternative to Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) for realizing structural analysis. A summary of stiffness matrix formulation of composite systems and perturbation based stochastic finite element dynamic analysis formulation of structural systems made of composite sections is given. Two numerical examples are presented to illustrate the method. During stochastic analysis, displacements and sectional forces of composite systems are obtained from perturbation and Monte Carlo methods by changing elastic modulus as random variable. The results imply that perturbation based SFEM method gives close results to MCS method and it can be used instead of MCS method, especially, if computational cost is taken into consideration.
